Made the mistake of watching the new Ghostbusters last night (it was free on "on demand" ok?)
Really not a redeeming factor about it, awful film, only watched it all because there's fukc all else on TV on Saturday night here and I was curious to see the "cameos" from the original team.
Don't bother if you've not seen it.
I actually found it one of the better articles on "the tackle" as it doesn't crucify Simpson just reflects the effect it had on Durrant. It's true his paly altered significantly after than but it did not "end his career, just changed its path.
It's history now and I can accept it as part of a Durrant piece, but hope it won't be brought up and hyped before our first game against sevco.
I fully expect an early red card for the Dons, no booking for Brown despite his continual kung-fu attacks on our players, a "gritty" performance to keep it to 1-0 after losing an early penalty then to completely come apart in the last 15 mins and lose by 4!
We need 3 players IMHO
1. a new Brian Grant
2. a new Jim Bett
3. a new Willie Miller
Now I realize I'm living in the past here and undoubtedly we're unlikely to get that quality of player again these days, but these are the TYPES we need to round out the squad
This is why I don't give a fuck about our "national" side anymore. Pretty sure it's not the "best" 27 (or whatever) available, could be missing several of the "top 10" we could pick, hey ho, a mighty 1-0 shitfest win v Malta awaits
It was always the "tar-them-with-the-same-brush" bill designed to financially cripple wee clubs whilst looking at doing something about bigotry, yet still allowing the ugly sisters to sing their "songs"
