  1. But McInnes never gives youth a chance etc Great to see another youngster sign on for the long term and hopefully he can keep this form up for a few more games yet and, when the inevitable dip comes, the majority of the fans can take that for what it is and not get on his back.
  2. This isn't specifically related to McLean but more in relation to your commment about Jack. It's fair to say that Shinnie has had a pretty poor start to the season by his standards; perhaps Jack brought a bit more to the team than some people give him credit for and it's taking Shinnie a bit of time to get used to playing without him?
  3. Internet rumours abound that the player involved here is one of ours: http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/news/15498525.Emergency_services_rescue_top_flight_footballer_from_Glasgow_river_in_early_morning_dramatic_rescue/

    Andy Murray

He's guaranteed to lose the number one ranking next week regardless. Either Nadal or Federer will replace him.

  6. Would expect the team to be: Lewis Logan O'Connor Reynolds Consi Shinnie Tansey Christie McLean Stewart Rooney Which isn't bad at all, I reckon Christie could be more useful than McGinn, although Stewart not as good as Hayes, so we're probably about as strong in the front four as last season as things stand.
  7. Aye, he pointed out that some mob that knocked them out a few years ago were also miles better technically. Surely he should at least have attempted to do something about that since then?
  8. Quite. And he isn't a wide midfielder either, he's a stand in the middle of the park kicking anyone who he isn't too slow to catch, and that isn't many. O'Halloran, I'm not so sure about. There might be a player there but it may just be that he's quick but no great ability to back that up.
  9. Great stuff. McInnes is clearly a guy who has his head screwed on properly. He'll know that if he does well with us again next season he'll get an even better offer next summer.
  10. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40268539 I see Colin Wanker is bumping his gums about the Dons not getting back to them quickly enough over their bid for Hayes. He doesn't say the amount but the article suggest £1.2m. More interestingly, for what it's worth, he claims we're holding out for cash plus two players from Celtic. Christie presumably one so who's the other? GMS? Henderson?
  11. Can't be selling our top man to Celtic for less than he's worth if we're only getting someone in on loan to replace him but who can't play against Celtic. That's nonsensical.
  12. Skybet still taking bets now. 1/3 mind you.
  13. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39414137 Was Scott Davie actually at the game or did he write this report based on some fantasy in his head? "Warren deflected in Taylor's strike" and "Storey got the ball caught under his feet after Hayes hit the post". WTF?
  14. Surely that's John Prescott in the French shirt?

    Andy Murray

    Beat the world's number 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 this week. Some man

    NFL

I've been following the NFL for years but still haven't made it to a game, despite having been to the NBA and NHL Follow the Giants as I went to primary school with their "Scottish" ex kicker Lawrence Tynes for a few years. The Giants won two Superbowls while he was there
  18. Other than Celtic winning, which was probably what we expected before the games kicked off anyway, not a bad set of results for us tonight.
  19. O'Connor and Reynolds for me, followed by O'Connor and Taylor. If I had any clue whatsoever about Morris' abilities then that could alter but since I don't, then it won't for the moment. I actually prefer Consi at left back and he doesn't seem to have the guaranteed-penalty-concession problem out there.
  20. First game was a 1-0 defeat to the huns at the home of hunnery in 1988 I think. About the only thing I can remember was the hatred for Willie Miller amongst the hun hordes.
  21. Cheers
  22. I'm continuing the merry go round of AFC forums. Used to post on the old old site (stuff?) and then moved to Donstalk for a while and was here during the time when we all got banned from the Hat. When this place got quiet I did quite a bit of lurking on Abmad but didn't really post. Hadn't been on any afc forum for a while until logging into Abmad today and discovering that this place might get busier again, so I've come full circle.
  23. Good save from the penalty.

  25. I had forgotten all about this little gem of an idea amongst all the other embarrassing stuff that was going on during the season. If ever proof was needed that the SPL is a total shambles this is it. I really, really, really wish the other clubs would have the balls to do something like baggy suggests above but sadly we all know they'll allow the bigot bros to carry on regardless. The sooner Scottish football goes bust and we have to start again the better it'll be.
