  1. Seems that way. Seems like two separate attacks. Although the knife attacker was a bit daft. Wasn't going to get very far stabbing a policeman when all entrances are pretty heavily armed. Hopefully the one death is just him.
  2. Hearts have (from what I can tell) 5 full size outdoor pitches and an indoor facility? This is shared with the university if I'm not mistaken. I'd say we're on par (minus the indoor facility) with that? The two pitches closest to the road would appear to be the designated academy/ community use pitches which could offer 4 7aside pitches if I'm not mistaken. I'd expect nothing less (I do think more should be done to encourage other sports) as part of the community aspect. Any less in scale or size would be deemed a token gesture. The fact theyre 3g and floodlit should be encouragement in itself. Are they (the council) not looking to build a lot of new houses nearby? Would imagine folk from the surrounding areas would happily use those rather than the sub standard pitches at the sports centre down the way.
  3. Unsurprisingly Storey linked with a move away, Dundee and Motherwell: https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/aberdeen-fc/aberdeen-miles-storey-summer/
  4. Birth of one of the greatest contributors to our club - Teddy Scott
  5. In addition to what ED has said, the reason why they are so large are for community it use. Last thing we'd want after spending all that money on new facilities, which dont go far enough imo, is that the club would have to deprive someone from using said facilities. Personally, I think the club should have bilt an indoor facility as it doesn't address winter training. We are a community club and what the club are doing in terms of this goes a long way to cement this vision.
  6. Ignoring all the bile in there, you've yet to back up your claims about alternative sites being offered by the council to the club. I think you'll find we've been more than happy to engage with Jess who has coherent arguments which deserve responding to rather than erratic statements. Take a moment, breathe and think before writing. And just as an FYI, I think you'll find a few of us are more than au fait with the planning and construction processes, especially of stadia. Edit: I'd also like to add, not everyone on here is in the pro stadium camp, it's call debate.
  7. But it's old farm land and it's out of town. Kings Links will be quite pricey due to proximity to the city centre.
  8. You're right, I was being kind.

    Celeb Deaths

I'm sure Kow is jesting Although they do hold a mins silence for everything these days
  10. I was always under the impression that the council were not helpful at all when it came to afc.

    Celeb Deaths

Wasn't sure if this should be here or in the politics thread but Martin mcguinness has passed away
  12. Where would it be otherwise?
  13. Welcome aboard, Jess, other views are always welcome I think we would all prefer the Kings Links, however if the TA is failing where we have two dual carriageways, I daresay it will fail there. Thing is, we can't view it as, well we've been doing it at Pittodrie for X years as it will be viewed as a new development. It won't be as existing or a redevelopment so they will be less lenient regarding this aspect. The next issue is I am presuming cost as it's a city centre location (essentially). We are on a tight budget and as many on here will know my views, the design imo has suffered. A more expensive bit of land will just detract further from what we need. If we had the budget, this would be hands down the location I'd want us to move to.
  14. Ah I knew I recognized the name from somewhere, that would be why.
  15. Disappointing. You didn't really do the naysayers any good and just make yourself look petty and foolish. I was genuinely intrigued to see where you'd come up with. The ACC has generally been pretty negative towards having a stadium within it's limits, or so I was lead to believe. If there were viable land options available, I'd have thought we and club would have looked at them.
  16. What's the latest OD?! A few weeks with no update, they all crocked? Not a loan, but it was good to see Ross coming on on Saturday.
  17. Ok. Question, if the transport plan get's rectified and approved, would you accept the stadium in it's location? I'm guessing not.
  18. Drafted in another Englishman tonight
  19. That did cross my mind when Rico mentioned it, it is some distance out of town from memory. Though it does have a train station nearby.
  20. Just watched the second half back as I missed it after heading out, KM had an absolute blinder yesterday. So unlucky on a number of occasions, got battered by hearts but showed that he was the better player. The scoreline really flattered hearts. Really enjoyable game.
  21. Tims 2-0 against Dundee, is that the title officially won? Middlesborough currently 2-1 down against man United. Their first goal in 509 mins!
  22. The Scottish FA have sold just 5,000 tickets for Scotland's friendly with Canada at Easter Road on Wednesday. (Sunday Mail) Scotland coach Gordon Strachan is unlikely to risk any of the Celtic players in his squad against Canada if they start for their club against Dundee on Sunday. (Sunday Post) fucking idiot. Risk, against Canada?
  23. Shite team and couldn't give a fuck
  24. We'll agree to disagree but at that time, McLean had lost all the confidence he has the previous season. Hadn't started the season well and hadn't really responded to Maddison coming in, until December. Then something changed in his attitude and confidence. And I'm fucking pleased as anyone about it. Strachan is a head case, as is his number two. Let them rot in hell. Past glories or not, those bridges are burnt.
  25. Actually I'd say Bb has more than changed his opinion on him in the last few weeks. He was correct to call him out at the time, but as soon as December came a different player appeared. I hope McLean keeps it up. Strachan is q cunt but hey ho, it's only the national team. He keeps performing for us that's all I care.
