  1. Once I have time, i'll definitely look at this. I can provide a section
  2. It wasn't Carhandles illustration I was particularly having a dig at, it was the furore surrounding it and his messages, along with others within that thread and elsewhere where the profession has been called into question. This is what pissed me off. It feels like every time someone provides a reasonable response (such as Tom's), someone, with no knowledge of how a building is designed or can be constructed, knows better (this isn't aimed at you or Rocket). Then the goal posts get moved and the requests get higher. The least planning onerous option is probably not far from what Tom has provided. However, if we had a vast sum of money, i'd say you buy those houses, re-route the services, build a new road elsewhere to retain the access and build the main stand out. The issue with the main stand is that we're trying to get it to do a number of things, provide commercial space as well as the much needed facilities that the club require. They've made no secret that there isn't sufficient space for them to operate (given the scale of activities these days). Whether they needed to be there or adjacent to the stadium is another question, however it certainly makes more sense to have it all within the same building. This then relies on the people willing to sell and the council allowing us to re-route Pittodrie street. There's then the fun with co-coordinating the re-routing with all the utility companies. Achievable, but an unknown risk and very expensive. Building over a road isn't impossible, but there'd be security risks with allowing it to be open to the public. So i'd reckon we'd have to build another road to compensate. To either extend the stand back or build over, we'd need to buy those properties and then some i'd guess. Then there's the added issue of parking that we'd lose because of extending back, we'd likely have to dig down which will add masses amount to the build. Rocket, I was by no means saying I was fully behind Milne. SM fucked up by not buying the land behind the South Stand, I doubt we'll ever know if it's down to motive or lack of cash. I'd like to think it was the latter. Tom, once I'm in NZ, and if this hasn't been resolved, I'll have a go at it
  3. Not this post per-se, more the follow on messages and in other associated threads following Tom's sketch. Calling the professions name into question, personally I find ridiculous, as if Tom did that on the club's behalf. The principle of doing as the little red line is fine if we get the finance to do it, but suddenly every cunt thinks they know better? Why settle for a bit of a nice stadium than a complete new and nice one?
  4. Honestly. That thread alone is a reason why some people shouldn't have the internet.
  5. WTF ?!? This to try and maximize his fee or actually stay that long...
  6. Surely even they can admit this is a complete and total failure? Lower league clubs need to be more vociferous about it.
  7. According to some on twitter, over 5700 tickets bought so far, superb effort
  8. Anyway, have read it. Shocking, this guy really is a horrible piece of work (not surprised given he's a courier). I'd still stand by what I said earlier though.
  9. Before I click this, you telling me I should listen to the daily nazi?
  10. Have I missed the bit where it disagrees with what I've said Doesn't appear to say that she wasn't on her phone?
  11. Fair enough. Wasn't aware of that. The guy seemed like a complete cunt. I've never liked fixed wheel cyclists, tend to be the arseholes of cycling. Regardless, my point still stands, having had to deal with multiple idiots like that when cycling to work myself. I've had to purposefully drop my shoulder to ensure it wasn't me that got taken out.
  12. Or is it you who's the perfect that's checking them out? Am a cyclist myself, wear lycra if I'm doing long distance cycling because it is necessary. Don't need chaffing in my life. But I get where you're coming from. There's a lot of education needed on both cyclists, road users and pedestrians. Especially pedestrians. Living in London it's amazing how many people value their mobile phone more than their life, particularly around roads. Recently a cyclist knocked over a woman in Shoreditch, she died due to her injuries. She stepped out into the road without looking and whilst on her phone. Idiot
  13. To quote one of our favourite posters nips, I believe this would be apt: "whoosh"
  14. Michael O'Neil has them firing on all cylinders, it's impressive to see what a good manager can do with limited players... Funny it's taken us so long to upgrade. Likeable guy but he was no way good enough for our club. International goals aside.
  15. Don't get me wrong, I certainly agree with your last sentence and don't begrudge anyone from doing so, it's more that I find the whole setup tedious and ridiculous. I used to love international football, especially the tournaments. But now everything is geared to playing as much football as possible, countries that shouldn't be there getting a look in (i'd include Scotland in that as we're shite to watch because of whos picked, just not been flukey enough to get through). Tired of it all. The Euros used to be amazing, the last one was far from it. The last world cup, I'm not even sure how many games I watched. Far reduced to what I used to anyway. TV and corrupt money (Russia, China, arabs) have ruined it. Cunts.
  16. Aye, didn't play too badly but I never felt they really caused the frogs any serious problems. Two chances, both of which fell to Robben who was inexplicably unselfish on the first one, but not much else. Can't recall who it was, but was bearing down on goal and honestly, i've seen Mackie have better shots than that. Just don't see to be producing the quality they used to anymore.
  17. Holland really are in a bad state. Pumped 4-0 by France, albeit, they are a team on the up. Some cracking players in that French team.
  18. Am sorry nips, but I just can't get excited about the team anymore. The whole setup is what is wrong with Scottish football, from top to bottom. It's a bit of a pain interrupting our good start to the domestic season! No team with the likes of Whittaker in it deserves support. Regardless, I hope it's a good game for you and it's not a waste of loss of sleep!
  19. Equally, the ones you describe are in the absolute minority. You're more likely to get a non football related bampot acting up. Football is, whether we like it or not, more of a family day out these days.
  20. Well, can't say I know much aboit him but he certainly sounds like what we need. Will be interesting to see where he ends up on the pitch but the versatility gives us options. Logan came from top end of the championship, but he was their 3Rd choice, but again, that's neither here nor there. Clearly not the first target but he knew what we needed. Really good summer, on paper, probably the best we've had in many a year. Well done AFC
  21. Because they've been against teams we should beat and aren't in the top half (possibly harsh on county). Let's see how we do against a traditional top six team before getting too excited. We needed a centre half. Our defence is shite. It's just lucky that we've scored more goals than conceded.
  22. That's what their official site has said.
  23. If that's true, and we broke it, fucking yassss. Although, any money for him is a win imo.
  24. Well negotiated St. Mirren
