  1. Quiet one for me this weekend, son's fitba in the morning then mine later. But since it's the first day I've felt un-sick in a fortnight I'm having a big G&T when I get home. I'm off skiing the next 2 weekends and the weekend after is a stagger in Prague.
  2. I go to Tenerife every year Funster. Golf Del Sur is average except for the links of the 3 9 holes. I like Amarilla, a right good test of straight hitting but the greens were pish last year. Adeje is probably the best course and yes, in winter that's the going rate. We tend to block book and you can usually wangle a deal, especially now as the island is not half as busy as it used to be.
  3. but he’s as awkward as a Fritzl family reunion. At least there was one gem buried in there.

    Summer

The hostel owner had no problem sitting down though.
  5. I don't think people sholud look too far into his record in the last 3 years. Players develop at different paces and if anything he should've been used far more sparingly. He looks like he might turn out a good SPL performer. I guess our decision to put him on loan will come back to bite us when it comes to negotiations. I'd imagine he's off at the end of the year unless we win something.
  6. Number of additional fans on the gate since McGhee fucked off? The factor by which Broon is better than him?
  7. We need more money to clear the debt by putting more bums on seats. Trying to do this by development of players and restructuring the league is admirable but I don't think either will solve the the biggest problem in the short term, the lack of competitiveness of the league. How about putting some short term manufactured competitiveness into the league by going back to 2 points for a win. The OF would still win but I'm certain we would have more challengers into the New Year.
  8. The Ashes. I've been watching TV to ridiculous times but it's done now. Some truly great stuff.
  9. I'm into Neil Cross just now, I read Burial and got a few of his others for Christmas. Holloway falls was a great story. The search function isnae working so I may be repeating things but, I also got On Fire With Fergie by Stuart Donald, anyone read it? I'm about half way through and of course the actual football story rather than the vehicle he's used is epic. It really is almost unbelievable that that was really us. Any book that starts a paragraph with "You rake in the buckets for something to eat..." in bold is alright in my book.
  10. Aye, McGhee was not to be trusted with a quid anyway.
  11. :lolabove: You can tell you're from the hat
  12. I'd think they are crisis funds that McGhee wouldn't have needed if he was in any way up to the job. Was Broon was savvy enough to negotiate them as part of the deal for coming up?
  13. If it's about bringing in gate money then why not have more (44) games? It's not as if we have hectic European schedules or summer International tournaments to work around.
  14. So do I. Total waste of time. let's stick with 12 and kill the split.
  15. If 2 leagues of 10 are viable then the ony reason not to have one league of 20 is impact of the loss of the the Old Firm visiting revenue. Why not cover those costs for every applicable club for a period of time out of the inequitable old firm share of the TV money or from Champoins League money.
  16. Author of Babe, King Smith, also dead. This game could go on forever, actually no it couldn't.
