  1. BBC for Albanians, you know how the BBC loves immigrants.
  2. Is it just me or was this not mentioned a few weeks ago?
  3. What did you make of this? I had high hopes but thought it was a little light. I suppose it gave a perspective of India not usually acknowledged but hardly surprising. Liking Balram wasn't really difficult, despite what he did, if that was what the intention was? It certainly didn't cause a crisis of conscience for me, anyway. Also read Flood by Stephen Baxter which I though could have made better use of the subject matter, but again not a bad book. Next up I have Netherland by Joseph O'Neill which has some fairly divided reviews so??? Then I've promised myself I'll go back and try to finish 2666
  4. Ehm! Having read this thread there was an off the cuff remark re: Jimmy from CtS before YOU started with the "jimmy chat" so maybe it's you and your puppet masters who can't let go. Also I'd hazard a guess that Jimmy's net transfer spend was "+".
  5. I was fairly critical of Wright at the time of his protracted transfer. BUT we have needed (although not as a priority over a 20 goal a season striker) a striker who will batter and bruise opposition defences, especially when you consider the decreasing technical ability within the SPL. Here's hoping Wright can get a decent run and stay clear of injuries as I think he could be useful member of our squad. McGhee is trying to improve the overall technical ability of our squad and these type of players allow the more technically gifted an opportunity to perform.
  6. Was it not rumoured that, that was part of the agreement to get him to sign pro-terms? Did he sign those before or after Jimmy left?
  7. EGGZACTLY!
  8. In typing this I'm sure I've typed it before on this forum. As the wife says "He just look so... ENGLISH! That's why I hate him"
  9. Sing songs glorifying the killing of ethnically the same people because they worship some character from a fairy stories mum. YES Make some abusive comments about someone based on the colour of their skin. DEFINITELY NOT.
  10. McGhee's favourites
  11. Rangers really aren't helping me stay on the dry . Now where did I put that Champagne!
  12. Is that a sports bra Novo the Homo is wearing??
  13. 1-3, good job it isn't the Black Sea League the dirty minks are trying to join
  14. Huns having the urine extracted
  15. Has Duns got the highest number of authors per head of population in the UK?
  16. Seem to remember him playing for milwall against Chelt a good few seasons ago and not looking great. But the last ex OF full back we signed from a mediocre L1 side(by way of Wolves) turned out reasonable. So worth a crack till Xmas surely.
  17. Is that Roberto?
  18. Worst pretend drunk, ever.
  19. In fact reading it again, I think it would seem to hint (quite blatantly) that it might not be the players fans are expecting ie. those mentioned at the top??
  20. Yeah, that's probably what was in my head when I started typing.
  21. Is there any quote that links the players mentioned, to the quotes attributed to McGhee. Would it not be more likely that the likes of Kerr, Miller, Langfield etc will be offered around in the hope of raising a fee for them before their contracts run out? Freeing up a larger percentage of wages to be offered for pre-contracts or extra to be added to next years budget. After all "this is a transitional season and McGhee will do whatever is necessary to improve the fortunes of the club".
  22. I can't believe Mark McGhee is not giving youth a chance! (Just for minijc ) Is this the guy that only came back in the summer after being home sick? or Is it the guy who was, supposedly, fucking gash in the pre-season friendlies?
  23. Anybody else watch the thing on BBC2 on Seve (the real one) with Peter Alliss. The best bit was about the Green jackets.
  24. I got invited to one of these in Gloucester last year, place used to be a bowling alley. Can see why it is successful you could barely move between the tables and, kowalski, they seemed to do more chips than anything else. Not sure if you could call them good though! Not somewhere I'd choose to go and I don't think I could be described as fussy.
