  1. Alex Miller was atrocious. I hated the football we played under him. The Dodds/Winters fiasco alone should have been enough to see him never work in the top level of football again. The fact that the board must surely have signed off on that particular deal is another matter for another (hopefully not too distant) time. That said, as much as it pains me to say so for he was a magnificent player and remains a true dons hero, Mark McGhee is the worst manager we've had since I started following Aberdeen.
  2. How in the name of fuck do you get to be a chairman of a top level football club without realising that the entire basis of employment in football and 'ownership' of players, coaches and managers is built on CONTRACTS? All this talk from Boyle about the spirit of the regulations is frankly embarrassing, and clearly designed to distract the Motherwell support from what an arse he's made of it, in not getting his manager to sign up.
  3. Motherwell - "That is clearly a case of tapping up. We never gave permission to talk." SPL - "And was there a release clause in Mr Brown's contract?" Motherwell - "Contract?..." SPL - "Yes, CONTRACT!..." Motherwell - "..." (DEAFENING SILENCE)
  4. To misquote a popular adage... If you're good enough, you're young enough. He's only 1 year older the Alex Ferguson, and a year younger than Bobby Robson was when he was still managing Newcastle.
  5. Is the right answer. Thread locked, and hopefully fucking buried.
  6. I would fucking love to have Craig Brown as our manager. This (possible) appointment aside, I think he should still be Scotland manager. That is all.

  8. Alex Miller 33/1
  9. Seriously? You're at it.
  10. Strachan is a cheque book manager, and not a particularly good one at that. I would jump at the chance to get Butcher, but very much doubt he would want to leave Inverness for us. Under normal circumstances, I would balk at the thought of John McGlynn, but I can't see anyone more appealing touching us with a 10 foot pole... so... yeah... him.
  11. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-11579988 Bunting at the ready...
  12. Just heard a guy called Benn Jordan, who records as 'The Flashbulb', for the first time recently. Cracking stuff if your a fan of DJ Shadow, Aphex twin etc... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TN1IgRyFFus
  13. Right, who can come up with a 'Nikola Vujadinovic' song, then?
  14. He defended well when under pressure. Much better than some of the nail-biting stuff from last year. Some of his attempts at long passes when he had plenty time were utterly chronic, though. Definitely an area he has to work on.
  15. The last clip in this (FF to 2:09) is priceless. http://www.pelapapas.com.mx/htmls/gente-suerte.html
  16. Any quote-tastic tit bits for those of us too grippy to part with our hard earned/scrounged £3.99?
  17. Hoping for 9, but I think St Johnstone may hold us. 7.
  18. One for the kids. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mc8HU-isRUw&feature=related
  19. :lolabove: :lolabove: 'Persistent'. How utterly, utterly marvelous.
  20. Most predictable response to an interview comment I've ever read. Cheer the fuck up.
  21. Definitely On-ski?
  22. Nae broom cupboard shots yet. Dinnae jinx it.
  23. Due to an inclination to tinker and change things just for the sake of it.
  24. Bugger it. I transfered him out last window
  25. Theo, who for some reason never seemed to click on trips to Easter Road, got himself sent off away to Hibs while conceding a penalty (possibly 1 yellow for the foul, and a second for arguing about it? can someone older confirm?). Irvine came on, there being no sub keeper in those days, and saved the penalty.
