  1. Rumours of another "big announcement" at the AGM tonight. But when I read that it was "McInnes resigning" it confirmed that it was nonsense. Scotland will vote Yes before he walks away from this job. He's well aware he'll never have a better one.
  2. He's a bit of a fairy too. We saw another instance of him having no interest in getting physical v Hamilton. The same happened back in July, or June or May or April or whenever it was that we played RoPs. He pussied out of a couple of challenges then. I dared voice this on AFC Chat and everyone acted like I'd pissed on their chips. They were spouting shite about how he did it because he was on a booking but he wasn't booked until much later in the game. I later found out it was because Deano's Dad posts on there and they're all just a bunch of arsehole lickers. I'd love to be wrong about Dean. He's young so I still could be. I don't think I am though. I'd still much prefer Greg Leigh in there before Deaon.
  3. Wouldn't that entail finding 48 (Or 49 once Neale Hanvey gets let back in) other SNP candidates to stand? I assume you can't resign and then stand in the by election that you've facilitated by resigning? Maybe you can. Massive gamble, that. It would be the last throw of the dice. In the likely event that it would fail it should be the end of the SNP. I've wanted a promise from them to disband in the event of a Yes vote but if they do that and fail we'll need new pro indy parties to take us forward even before we're independent.
  4. I hope this prediction as as good as your last. Although I'm not hopeful. 46% of votes went to pro indy parties in Scotland. Many of these are likely to have been votes against Brexit or the Tories rather than against the Union. I'm sure there will be the odd pro-indy Labour and even Tory voter. (I know one who voted yes in 2014.) But my point is there will have been more pro-union SNP/Green voters on Thursday than pro-indy Labour/Lib Dem/Tory so it doesn't bode well for winning a new indyref. We'll have to convince the 15% of the electorate in Scotland who didn't vote to get out and vote yes and the previous no voters who have been "forced" to yes are all very welcome and necessary to win. Kow I'm still genuinely curious as to the point that I missed? Help me out.
  5. Agreed. Getting another Indyref will be the easy bit. Convincing over 50% to vote yes will be the hard bit. I don't think it'll happen anymore. Not soon anyway. Maybe Indyref 3, 4 or 5.
  6. Would you do me a favour and be kind enough to elaborate on the point that I've missed?
  7. I'm conflicted. About the mixed results from Scotland and the UK as a whole but also about the voters who voted tactically for the SNP despite being against Independence. I'm not sure if I should sympathise with them or say "I told you so". I guess it's a bit of both. Ironically their tactical votes were fruitless because of how people in England voted. This in itself is a massive advert for Independence. So the anti-Tory yoons up here have two choices. Learn to eat shit and like the taste (a motto used by the enigmatic Vince McMahon of the WWE) or re-think their position on Independence from the ground up. Ask themselves why are they so against it. Is it a historical family position and if so why are their ancestors thoughts still relevant? Is it from a place of genuine concern for how we'd manage? Is it because you hate the foreign devils that the Scottish Government are so welcoming of? Whatever it is we can talk it out. I briefly remember being undecided. I had voted prior to 2014 but I didn't really give a fuck. Lack of interest. I had zero political beliefs forced down to me by my upbringing so I went into my research as a blank slate. My foreigner Dad can't vote in general elections (disgrace) and my Mum was a labour voter in the 90s as far as I remember. We certainly weren't "nationalists" and yet it didn't take me very long at all to see that an Independent Scotland just made sense. In so many ways. Financially, diplomatically, politically, the list goes on. The fact that it's morally correct too matters little but the fact remains. I'd like to hope we can convince the doubters because it's either that or £500 per month for medical insurance that covers fuck all. If you get the flu it'll only cover the cold. If you get lung cancer it'll only cover brain cancer. If you get hit by a bus it'll only cover being hit by a lorry. On the plus side we'll get to keep our nukes in our back garden.
  8. This could be great news. But only if he becomes significantly better. Because right now he's poor so it's bad news.
  9. Opposite from my area then. I've been flooded with Tory shite and have had the odd Lib Dem, SNP and Labour thing but probably more Tory stuff than the rest combined.
  10. Canna be that. The tactical votes in Scotland couldn't be clearer or simpler.
  11. Kow, may I ask.. Have you as a unionist but also clearly anti-Tory, considered tactical voting today to try and achieve that goal?
  12. This is our chance to get the Tories to fuck. Sometimes a tactical vote is required. It might not be who you'd normally vote for or who you'd like to vote for but tactical voting can be effective in the political system that we've got. Look at who's closest to beating the tores in your constituency and vote for them. In Scotland that's SNP in every seat that they don't already have but in England or the rest of the UK it could be anyone. Many of us have different political points of view on this forum but I think we're all agreed (most of us anyway) that the Tories have made a massive cunt of it and that a progressive coalition deserves it's chance.
  13. Nah nah min. I don't have the pleasure of personally knowing any receptionists in any industry unfortunately. Although like my Mrs it does sound like this one has fine taste in men.
  14. What Chris Martin looks like matter little to me but I have a question about the receptionist. Was she tidy? Great news on the gnasher front. I've got the dentist next week. I'm hoping for some equally high quality music whilst I wait.
  15. Rocket, min. Coldplay's new album is fucking excellent. Some absolute belters on there. Do your soul a favour and give it a listen. You're welcome.
  16. I watched the debate on BBC last night as well as the <30 "special" of Question Time the night before. I will fucking fight Jackson Carlaw. Someone set it up and I'll be there. Colossal cunt.
  17. Vintage Scotland. Even when our opponents are banned we still find a way to not qualify. Reminds me of the RWC in Japan. We were at risk of getting knocked out at the hands of a cancelled game and we huffed and puffed about it. The game eventually goes ahead but we still manage to see our way to getting papped oot. Even when the number of teams at tournaments is increased we'll still find a way to not qualify because we're failures and it's what we do.

    EPL

If there's one team that could still fuck it up from here it's Liverpool. I wouldn't have bet on Leicester being the best of the rest at this stage. Liverpool have a lot of irons in the fire so it'll all come down to Klopp's management. They only have one fit senior central defender too so the depth of the squad will come under scrutiny too. The depth of City's squad hasn't helped them. They lost Laporte earlier in the season and the fact is that John Stones is in fact utterly dreadful and barely looks like a £5M player nevermind a £50M player.
  19. Very good Hun team my fucking arse min. They have a couple of decent players aye but nothing to be shitting ourselves at in the manner in which we have in the first half of this game and every half of the last several games we've played against them (and other, arguably better teams too). Did you enjoy the 5-0 at Ibrox? Or the 4-0 training session we gave Celtic? I don't know why I fucking bothered. A draw the other night was a good result in hindsight but the arse licking session that you MIGers gave him in the aftermath was unwarranted as was painfully evident at Easter Road this weekend past.

    Films

"Resurfacing" on Amazon Prime. Documentary about Andy Murray's journey back to professional tennis following two hip operations. Loved it. You don't have to like the guy (although I think it's a bit weird that some people don't) but you have to respect him.
  21. Indeed it would have been. I had moments earlier vowed to enter the playing area had Consi scored a late winner. I never got the chance to put my money where my mouth is.
  22. Foreign managers don't give a fuck about domestic cup competitions. 9/1 is shite. He turned Man Utd into a dreadful team to watch and the results weren't justifying the performances. He's lucky that OGS has made him look not as bad by being even more shite. Mourinho might do well at Spurs but I can also see this being the first job he's taken where he'll win fuck all and be gone before too long.
