The only people pedestalling her are the nuts foaming at the mouth desperate to discredit her and point-score. She's a child but she's speaking facts and backed up by some of the smartest people in the world. I don't believe any mistakes that she'll maybe or maybe not make at any point throughout her life will necessarily take away from her work highlighting the grave danger our environment is in. I don't think her very public speech (at the UN building a couple of months back? ) was a particularly good idea nor did I think it was particularly good but that doesn't make her wrong and that's what's important. She's not telling me (and millions of others) anything that we didn't already know about how greed is fucking the environment but she's helping shine a light on it and because of the high number of aresholes on the planet we're in the unfortunate position where we really need that. I don't think there's anything wrong with appreciating that. In a way she's chosen martyrdom which she's bound to regret eventually (IMO) but that's a different issue. I don't remember discussing corporal punishment in my post so when I read it back I could only deduce that that was in reference to what I said about kids not being smacked when they misbehaved. That's a fucking far cry from chopping off a thief's right hand or flogging an adulterer which are more synonymous with the term "corporal punishment". Kids don't get enough discipline and that very often turns them into shitty adults. Discipline doesn't have to be physical of course but it's needed in one form or another. Rocket have you seen the movie "Official Secrets"? Out at the cinema in the last week or two and it revolves heavily around Tony Blair and his abhorrent lies. I'm not in favour of (proper) corporal or capitol punishment myself but I understand the temptation when it comes to cunts like him.

We're raising our kids with delusions of grandeur. They become over-grown kids who don't have the emotional stability to deal with any situations that doesn't go their way. They weren't smacked enough when they misbehaved. Probably sheltered too much. Maybe religious. It's all contributing to the horrible place that humans are turning the world into. I agree with KFP on that. It's horrible out there. Personally I have to focus on the (still plentiful) positives to stop myself from wanting to follow Ket Kyle over the ledge. What hurts the most is that we're finally at the stage where we're aware of widespread and top level (Government) corruption being rampant all over the Western and "developing" world and not only are we setting the precedent that it's OK but we'll actually fucking vote for it legitimately. Leads me to think of a quote from the musician/poet Scroobius Pip from the song "Get Better": Admittedly he's not talking about corruption but another aspect of broken society but it's apt. We've all become apathetic to corruption and we're getting really good at doing what we're told and nothing more. It's a disgrace and I have real respect for anyone who is motivated enough to get off their arse and protest about issues that are important to them. The people getting battered by authorities in the streets of Catalonia and Hong Kong (and now Bolivia amongst other places I'm sure) as well as Greta Thunberg who gets a disgraceful amount of abuse from people who should fucking know better. Her crime? Waking people up to the greedy cunts selling out the environment that we all need to survive. Cunts cannot handle hearing it from a young female. Piers Morgan is one example. A man who'd I'd thoroughly enjoy booting the fuck out of despite being a lover rather than a hater myself generally. I'm still waiting for Chaplin's speech from The Dictator to come true.

Part of the new Coldplay album. They still can do no wrong.
-
Improved terms for McInnes.
-
I did some work in it a few weeks back and had a look around then so I already knew it was a massive waste of time.
-
What a pleasant surprise that was! I was gravely worried the whole time about England because they looked like the strongest team in the competition and had they not believed their own hype they'd have won the final too. I didn't think they collectively refused to wear their medals? I did notice one or two of them take them off but I'd have probably done the same tbh.

Klopp is clearly not interested in the domestic cup competitions. I can see why Liverpool put all their eggs in the league basket but as promising as some of their kids are they're not good enough to win the competition so it might well bite him on the arse like it very nearly did last season. Although part of this might be that the Club World Cup is coming up and an EFL quarter final is so low on the priorities list that it's the last thing they want. It was some game though. Some shite defending/goalkeeping and some brilliant strikes. The penalties were of high quality also. Neco Williams and Curtis Jones looks like some prospects.

Very good post. What happened before is irrelevant anyway. But make no mistake about it; we're heading back there fast. I was lucky that I wasn't at the 9-0 but I wasn't lucky enough to miss Sunday and I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that I've never seen a poorer, more pathetic performance from us.
-
Did you nae see the Celtic game? Panic would be an underreaction.
-
But unlike Sevco Dundee United don't have 50,000 unwashed paying through their gates 20 times a season.
-
Is he? I'd be amazed if we qualified for Europe next season. There's little point anyway since our pathetic passive pussy tactics will see is papped out post haste by bang average shite.
-
No but I do think the idea is sound and the technology is sound but the logic and the human decision-making has ruined it. You'd think they were attempting to sabotage it.
-
Harry Kane is a diving cunt. Zero comment or acknowledgement from English commentators. Not even "He's been clever there" like when they branded Sadio Mane a diver against Leicester the other week. Also VAR is being used by neanderthals which is ruining games. The VAR system only works if you don't let retards officiate it. It cost Arsenal so it's obviously funny that aside they need to sort out how they use it.

Have you taken into account the toll on your personal well-being that listening to their bullshit and lies will have?
-
It was, aye. It was unprecedented. No one had ever had that surgery and returned to singles let alone won ATP titles. Frankie Dettori and Ben Stokes can both gtf. Those two athletes that I don't know will be more deserving than these two.
-
Never heard of them. Please elaborate though. What have they done that goes beyond being the only cunt ever in their sport to return successfully from a career ending injury/surgery?
-
Nice one Rocket. I've yet to have the pleasure of any cunt political turning up at my door whilst I'm in. Plenty pikeys offering lock block paving though.

Sturgeon has made it very clear time and time again that she won't do this. Looks where it got Catalonia. I think you're probably right in that Yes would lose again. But didn't the SNP vote to drastically increase the state pension in the event of Indy? That might talk some of the fossils round. As an aside I wish to fuck everyone would stop using the term "once in a generation". The political landscape has rarely changed so much and so quickly than it has in recent years and using a term like "once in a generation" just isn't a promise that should be made or necessarily kept. It's used by those who are fucking terrified of losing the status quo.

Name one sports person more deserving of the award this year than Andy Murray.
-
Agreed Manc. I didn't think he'd be back competitively. He beat some very handy players this week (and in the last few at other tournaments also) and Wawrkinka is a proper player. 3 grand slams to his name (despite never quite being as good as Murray IMO) but had he been 10 years or so older (and therefore been around just before Djokovic, Nadal and Federer all came on the go) he'd have won many more I'm sure. The Australian Open is the one that got away and whilst I can't help but feel it will continue to evade him it could be argued that none of Djokovic, Nadal or Federer quite look as invincible as they used to. And the up and comers like Medvedev, Thiem, Zverev and Tsitsipas just aren't (yet anyway) in the same league as the "big 4" as the UK press liked to call them. Andy looked out of it against Wawrinka and at at least 2 stages in the previous rounds too but he has a unique ability to grind down opponents and to be honest I thought the Stan would be above it all. Andy's mental toughness frightens even the best players and we can all see why. Because I doubted that Andy would be able to compete at the top level again I'll admit I didn't even want him to try. The thought of seeing half the Andy Murray we used to see get hidings off of players who are no better than decent didn't appeal one bit. But if there's one cunt that can prove everyone (me) wrong against and again it's Andy and he's done it. It's just what he does. The way he went out at Australia last year was typical Murray. Clearly injured and in bad nick but fucking scrapping like there's no tomorrow because when it came to his tennis career it looked like there'd be no tomorrow. He went out very fittingly and had he left it at that no one would have questioned it and his career would've been labelled a massive success.

None that are better than our defenders out of position apparently, yes. And I include Dean Campbell. I don't doubt he loves the club etc etc but he's not close to being good enough yet and in my opinion it looks like he never will be. I'd love to be proven wrong though.
-
Of course I have an opinion. We voted Leave on the basis of a "great deal" We'd get "a great deal because they need us more than we need them". We were lied to over and over and over again. Of course the sentient amongst us recognised this. We did not vote for a hard Brexit. I'm of the opinion that hurting the pride of the Brexiters on all levels is of little importance and that we should extend the Brexit date until such times as we're ready for it (or as ready as we can be). Boris said he'd rather be dead in a ditch than ask for an extension. Tough shit Boris. If we need one we'll ask for one weather it hurts your stupid pride or not. I have a sneaky feeling he'll get this deal through parliament though. It might cost a few more billion to sweeten the DUP though. But Boris is clearly looking for a Brexit at any fucking cost as shown by the deal he's "miraculously negotiated" being worse than the one that that useless cunt Theresa May organised. FWIW the Scots convinced themselves to stay. Stupid cunts.
-
What, in your opinion, should now happen, Rocket? And what do you think will happen?
-
Could easily be wrong of course but it sounds made up to me. Typical of the shite that's spouted on Hat. Bunch of overgrown kids trying to top each others' attempts to show how mental and edgy they are. Very very tiresome IMO and not what I want DT to become. Agreed. Which is why he'll be banned very soon.
