  1. Aye we definitely have a few total melts in the stands at the moment. The prized neeps who hurled abuse at a disabled St Mirren fan being prime example.
  2. Be interesting how manybof his trusted crew follow him. Will we see Hearts line up with Marley Watkins, Matty Kennedy, GAsh Taylor and Bruce Anderson? I have some fond memories of McInnes time at Aberdeen, but have to question whether these memories were just the afterglow of Craig Brown's guidance beforehand.
  3. Back in the early 2000s, me and a couple of mates tried to get a "Meadowbank ... wank wank wank! Meadowbank ... wank wank wank" chant going at Almondvale to piss off the Livi fans. Chant didn't catch on
  4. Nothing better than seeing the Victims getting wound up
  5. Annoying thing is we still can't wear it vs Hearts
  6. Leon Mike will be proud
  7. Crazy to see the personal relationship he built with Cnl Gaddafi. Dunno how much of it was dramaticised for the tele
  8. What I've seen of him, Milanovic is a decent winger, scores some very tidy goals. WSW fans seem to think he's too good for Aberdeen, lol
  9. Me and a bunch of mates are heading to the Auckland vs Perth game next Sunday. Likely to be the day Auckland wins the league. I've watched most of their games on the tele so far, and have gone to half a dozen games. Still not committed as a proper fan yet - I mean I follow them cos I live in Auckland. If I moved to Wellington, I'd probably switch to The Phoenix. Whereas I'll only ever follow Aberdeen regardless of where I am in the world. What gets me is they don't look fantastic. This is a team who have got to where they are from team-work (no superstars) and an incredible rub of the green. Next season will be interesting assuming the law of averages in the "rub of the green" luck isn't so screwed in their favour. Sakai, Pauline and Gillion have been standouts all season, but the rest fall in and out of games regularly ... fortunately not all at the same time.
  10. Polvara has a strength to him that's lacking in our other midfielders. When we took him to Pittodrie, he was featherweight and felt like he was just a signing to keep Christian Ramirez company. The following off-season he clearly hit the gym, and came back much more of a physical threat. We saw that when he came on on Saturday too, didn't get pushed off the ball by Hearts' cavemen. I hipe he gets utilised more regularly by JT - between him, Clarkson, Palaversa, there's good options in the middle
  11. Agreed. Gueye, Nisbet, Dabbagh, Okkels and Sokler aren't the answers we need upfront. When Keskinen and Morris get going they remind me of Hayes & Mcginn circa 2013-ish. But we haven't got sufficient replacements for them. The res tof our midfield and defence looks good now. Not brilliant, but notnin need of surgery like upfront. Problem is Dabbagh has Miovski's shoes to fill, and Miovski was so much more than just his goals.
  12. Aye but it's supposed to be a neutral venue. It should be 50:50 to begin with, and if Aberdeen don't sell their allocation in a certain time frame, the remainder can be offered to Celtic. It was said here well before the semis, we will be punished for not bringing a full allocation to Glasgow for a 12.30 semi-final kickoff. Had Saturdays game been a 3pm kickoff, I am confident we would've matched Hearts crowd-wise
  13. You reckon they'll keep Giancarlo, or has he taken Phoenix as far as he can?
  14. At Easter too. Wonder if he'll return in a couple of days
  15. Must be a demand from the Tynecastle Board "can you play stoneage football? Y/N"
  16. I mean, great to be through to the final. But we were utterly boring. Only ones who got pass marks for me were Clarkson, Keskinen, Polvara and Gueye. Jensen got picked apart time and time again. Palaversa was absent. Morris tried his best, but got marked out of the game. Dabbagh's goal was a strikers-instinct goal, but he had some shocking moments when he came on. On the plus side, nice to see both Mitov and McGrath out there again. McGrath clearly not 100% yet, but his confidence grew with time on the field
  17. Stop pissing about with it. Go and get a 3rd FFS
  18. Fuck sake min. We are boring as fuck! Tidy strike from Dabbagh, but the amount of possession we've had, there should be daylight between the team score-wise. I still have an awful gut feeling Hearts are gonna win. Although we may finally see Devlin, thanks to Dorrington's dodgy hammy
  19. Melbourne City's draw means it could be a home title win for Auckland next week against Perth. What a maiden season!!
  20. Dabbagh is gash. And we seem to want to walk it into position. Every time Hearts get it, you feel they could score. We are ridiculously pedestrian, and it's been like this long before Steinwender's red card. I dunno where the improvement will come from the bench either .... Devlin being the only change I can see that would improve things. Maybe Polvara to add a bit of beef in the midfield?
  21. Why? Why's he taken Keskinen off? He's been our only feed into the strikers.
  22. Palaverse for McGrath. Probably the right sub to make - Ante hasn't been able to control the midfield despite us being a man up
  23. Jensen is all over the place, the Jambos are bullying him at every opportunity. Get Devlin on for him asap. Difficult to see who would come off for McGrath at this stage though, as Gueye has been good so far. Nisbet has barely touched the ball, but he is a constant nuisance
