Dabbagh is handy in the box (as per the SemiFinal). Gueye is handy with his sheer size (as per the Final). But neither are good/consistent enough to be our first choice striker. If Miovski is a no-go, I'd go all out (perhaps break our record) to land a proven striker who plays in a similar quality league such as Norway, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Hungary, etc. Have Dabbagh and/or Gueye playing off them

I watch most of Aaron's vlogs, they're bloody good. He's amassing a fair collection of player shirts now too -
Fuck, he looks absolutely stoked to be there, doesn't he

No, it's "do do dooooo" -
This and also how so many football managers (remembering these are professional football coaches) simply do not see how absolutely shite some of their tried-and-trusted players are. Yes I'm talking about Gueye, Ambrose, Richard Jensen, but I'm also talking about Anthony Stewart, JET, Matty Longstaff, Nicky Low, Jerel Ifil, Javan Vidal, Dave Bus .... every season, every manager we have a clutch of players who everybody in the stands cannot fathom how they've made it in the game as far as they have, and yet they are playing for the third biggest club in Scotland!!!

Can we offer Ambrose + cash for ..... actually, can we just offer them Ambrose + cash ? -
I for one am appreciative of McInnes for what he did at Pittodrie, brought us from perennial bottom-sixers to Euro-regulars. However ... Jambo cunt. Hope he relegates them
-
Hadn't thought about his Arabs connection. 'Eh Dundeh Courier would go into meltdown
-
Surely McInnes & Doc reunion at Tynecastle. To replace him? Robson's done an alright job at Raith and Dens would be a good level for him
-
You must've been like me and bowed out about an hour into the game. Until Utd scored their first, we were so dominant. The only bewildering thing was how we'd only scored 1 goal. And that's what urgently needs fixing more than anything. The games I've managed to watch on the tele, I've seen us absolutely dominate possession yet continue to hoof the ball over the bar, or miss the post by miles ... or just hit it too weak for the keeper to be bothered. Teams have yet again figured out our game-plan, and have been marking Nisbet completely out of the game. Starve him of chances, and we struggle to score. We cannot have 1 guy who can hit the target consistently. We need to bin Ambrose, Dabbagh, Sokler and Gueye, and go strike a deal for a proven scorer ... proven in leagues of similar quality to ours, such as the Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Swiss, Polish, Austrian, Czech or Hungarian top leagues.

Wouldn't be surprised to see McInnes try to lure both of them to Tynecastle
-
That's with major surgery done to the defence is January too. I reckon JT has til Xmas to turn things around.
-
Hopefully many. I'd keep Mitov, Knoester, Devlin, Clarkson, Alex Jensen, Morris, Topi and Tobers. Maybe Polvara too, at a push. Would like us to bid for Nisbet but think he's beyond our price range. The rest are forgettable, below our required level or are past it

Goodwin has already stoked the fires by effectively pitching his team as being thr working class heroes coming up against a hugely expensive Dons team. Gotta admit, he's not wrong. The Hibs game gave me optimism, but in actual fact it was a a false dawn. I expected nothing from the old firm games, but didn't expect 10 goals against! But it's the St Mirren game, and the fashion of our defeat in that game that got me. Arabs will be up for this. And if I was a betting man, I would bet for an Arabs win. Bring on the summer clearout!

I did a very brief search but couldn't see a similar discussion Before any ball has been kicked, we all know either Celtic or Rangers will win the Scottisb Premier League in its current format. How fkn boring. How does Scotland change things up to attract better sponsorship, more supporters, a more exciting league and, ultimately a more encouraging development ground for Scottish players ? Would a League Round + Champions Play-off Round be more enjoyable, where maybe the Top 6 get to play off against each other (1st vs 6th, 2nd vs 5th, 3rd vs 4th) in a knock-out cup-style format ? It works in other football leagues, and other sports such as Rugby League and Rugby Union, and ensures there is a genuine chance of different champions every year

Reckon he will do anything okay job for them. Will make them a regular Top 5 team again and maybe, just maybe, revert away from the cave troll tactics that have typified Hearts teams in the past few years. I got no problem with McInnes, but I would dearly love to be proven wrong on my above points and see him drag them back down to relegation fodder -

I see your point about wanting a Scottish core to the team, as it imprints an element of identity on the team and club. But right now I think there is an overinflated price tag on Scots, we are an easy league for England to pilfer from, and now Italy is starting to get good change out of Scottish players too. For Aberdeen to compete, we need to focus on being a selling club: one that brings in relatively unknown talent on the cheap, develops it, sells for a profit, the uses that money to go buy someone a bit better than before. Miovski and Ramadani were obvious cases where that's worked out. And with our current manager knowing the Scandinavian market so well, you can bet your bottom dollar his advice on players who've served him well in the past will sit well with our scouts. -
Aye we definitely have a few total melts in the stands at the moment. The prized neeps who hurled abuse at a disabled St Mirren fan being prime example.

Be interesting how manybof his trusted crew follow him. Will we see Hearts line up with Marley Watkins, Matty Kennedy, GAsh Taylor and Bruce Anderson? I have some fond memories of McInnes time at Aberdeen, but have to question whether these memories were just the afterglow of Craig Brown's guidance beforehand. -
Back in the early 2000s, me and a couple of mates tried to get a "Meadowbank ... wank wank wank! Meadowbank ... wank wank wank" chant going at Almondvale to piss off the Livi fans. Chant didn't catch on
