He's a good player at a good age. He's no glamour signing but he's still a very good one. ICT fans I spoke to today feel very much with Tansey as we do with McGinn. I.e. he has more than earned his shot at a bigger stage. Usual Aberdeen Caledonian Thistle comments have followed but the fact that these came second says a lot about their rating of him. Tansey will do very well for us I'm sure.

Absolutely chuffed to bit's for AC. I've always liked him, even when he was a bit of a liability at lb. Very smart player and he has thrived under McInnes. The biggest compliment I can give him is I don't feel a loss when I see Shinnie play midfield these days.
-
Gutted but not surprised, at least he's not going to fucking hearts! All the best Niall and thank you so very very much for the memories. MacKay Steven might be on the radar as a replacement but i would personally like to see youth given the chance
-
The real question is why the fuck was it played at such an early time! If it had been a 3 or later kick off it would have had a much better attendance!

Obviously a gamble playing KT at rb but I like the look of that team. I shed my club allegiances temporarily, hell the best bounce I've ever been in was fergahuns equaliser against Italy. As such I really don't have an issue with all the tim players to be honest, bar LG they are all playing to a high standard regularly. Much rather that than a mid table championship player. Got a feeling Armstrong might shine in this game, he's a braw player.
-
I would suspect it's cheaper to have one location to develop than two.
-
I would actually like to see them get their act together, tannadice is always a braw day out.

I think Osman from partick could be worth a look, I quite liked his style in the quarter against Partick. Ali Crawford is a player I have always admired and is expected to leave hamilton in the summer. He'll have a year left on his deal and there will likely be interest from England as well so I'm not holding my breath but he would be an excellent replacement for pawlett and it would be great to see the club make a bid for him. Lets not forget Smith will be back in the summer and by all accounts he's done pretty well and playing regularly. I've always thought Smith was pretty classy and I'd like to see him given another opportunity but I can understand why others may not agree. Despite recent improved form i would be looking to replace Taylor, Josh Meekings is out of contract at ICT and he's always looked pretty handy to me. Devlin is an interesting idea but I've not seen much of him. It would be nice to see the club going for someone like that though, i.e. young yet seasoned Scottish player on the up. There was talk of Brian Easton to play LB, he's solid enough and can cross but he's not any quicker than Considine sadly.

I disagree they are central belt orientated. They are the first Scottish government to not only take the dualing of the a9 seriously but actually make it happen. Massive investment and the vast majority of it on road outside the central belt. People did complain at the start about average speed camera's but they have been a positive in my experience and I drive that road an awful lot with my job. The death toll is down a bit which back's that up a little which is no bad thing when it's statistically the most dangerous road in the uk. The distributor road is going in Aberdeen and there is also a much needed new crossing of the river ness being built up here. I think they do what they can, the O+G sector being healthy is good for the Scottish Gvmnt surely?

As I understand it if they went by themselves they would become an archipelago inside Scottish waters only owning up to 15 miles from their coast which would have little to no effect on current oil fields. I read this in the wee blue book and it seemed well researched if your wanting source. Re the bit in bold. There are plenty of countries that look after their citizens far better than the uk gvmt does, surely its not unreasonable to think we could join that collective as an independent nation. I can understand your cynicism, hell you've lived the uk quite a while after all, but I don't think it's fair to judge an Independent Scottish parliament so harshly before they have even had the chance to prove otherwise.

Oil schmoil, it's always been a variable commodity and makes up only a small part of the economy. At some point it's going to go back up and I would much prefer that Holyrood got that money than westminster. Fascinating few days it's been. It wasn't just the gvmt that were caught on the bounce but the media too and they didn't like it. They would have loved to get the negative spoilers out before the fact. MSM is fucked on this one, there has never been such widespread public cynicism and awareness of how the press lie than there is now in Scotland and that's largely because of the last indyref. Fool me once etc. If you can check out Callum McCaig's question to Maybot today, I saw it on facebook and can't link to it but I imagine it will pop up in many newsfeeds. It's really quite amusing regardless of your constitutional leaning. I was for it last time, I'm for it again. Sturgeon has kinda been boxed into a corner here and I don't think she had any choice. It was always going to come to this after the decision to go hard brexit so why not give May a bloody nose while your at it? The tories are cunts, end of story and the sooner the country is rid of their influence the better.

I've got a ever growing admiration for Archibald.
-
I suspect because if said shitter put something conventional like, say, milk then it would not have the desired affect.
-
Who the fuck shat in your cornflakes this morning? Why the fuck are you having a pop at me for making the (accurate) observation that an earlier ko will have an affect on crowd size? Semi finals and finals have a tendency to bring out more fairweather fans (which you well know I'm sure) but earlier ko will discourage some on both sides and they will watch it on telly instead. I reckon that number will be about 5k.
-
look at what rooney is doing for stockleys equaliser against killie. I have yet to see a defence that isn't wary of Rooney since his debut.
-
That's going to take 5000 off the crowd straight away.
-
When I was in the air force I had an Wrexham fan (actual fan too, he went quite regularly) say to me, without the slightest hint of irony, "why do you care so much about a Scottish team? I watched a Scottish game once and it was rubbish, you're wasting your time".
-
I would be surprised if this isn't televised, result if it's not though as Saturday 3pm would be amazing! Sadly it's probably going to be a half 12 ko isn't it as I cant see the glasgow rozzers accepting a half 5 between Aberdeen and HIbs. In fairness a half fiver would be utter carnage, thats a lot of drinking time for 45000 hibs and aberdeen fans.
-
Very much this. He's a real asset on form and it's great to see him returning to something resembling that.
-
Abdul osman is very possibly the nasty cm we've been looking for! Great result, banana skin well and truly dodged
-
postponement is ok by me, we might have one or two of the injured back in contention for the replay.
-
some absolute crackers there! My choice would be Baggio's, what a player.
-
I'm really glad stockley has been passed fit, if we win this game i suspect he will play a significant role in it. I have to say though I do have a bad feeling about this one.

Even fucking Chick Young recognises that the tribute act don't want to have to cough up a seven figure compensation fee for a manager. According to the beeb gossip page they are after some portugese james bond who's been managing in the middle east. I suspect the results of that would be quite amusing.
