  1. There's no room for sentimentality in football. End of story. They have been awful for months and if they stay up it will have been the right decision.
  2. There's many things you can say about Willie Collum but I genuinely don't think he is corrupt. I think he's incredibly incompetent at times but I've never once got the impression of an agenda from him. All that said though it's been a while since he had a "Collum" moment in a match so it's probably overdue.
  3. Good find Manc, not seen that one before either. The whole thing was very scripted and was never filmed in 1980, I would suspect 85. Interesting that there was not really much mention of trophies, I couldn't help but laugh when Strachan started talking about the european cup, what a difference not even 10 years made.
  4. I'm not so sure about that, I don't think we can really say for certain unless he is actually given a run of starts. I think he's defo a player fwiw. Bar the sitter at mordor his finishing has not only been excellent but quite varied too. We've had 30 yard lobs to poachers goals like yesterday and a lot of them have been important goals as well. I think he might surprise you if given the opportunity in other words. One thing I would add is that Stockley doesn't score yesterday if Rooney isn't causing Addison so much stress. It was as good as an assist almost.
  5. Very mixed performance but one thing I would add was that Killie looked really solid and very well organised, Gary Dicker in particular was a real driving force for them. He's out of contract at the end of the season too, could be worth a look though he is 30. I think there was possibly a wee bit of a hangover from midweek both in exertion and euphoria from our point of view. As has been mentioned Jack had a great game though I think some of the criticism of Hayes and Mcginn is a little harsh. That said with two goals in 40 minutes of gameplay PeePaw must be pushing for a start, he was excellent when he came on and i would defo consider giving him Mcginn's place after 2 fairly quiet games in a row. Despite looking a little shaky at times this is a really good win to get, I'm particularly chuffed for Stockley who is looking a pretty good find at the moment.
  6. I have heard some silly things said on btm, i remember one guy thought cammy smith would be a like for like replacement for flood. Looking forward to this one, Mculloch will have them well motivated as he's a proper dye in the wool hun so he obviously detests us. They will likely try and get physical so lets hope the team get's through this without injury. Killie player to get a red card could be a prudent bet perhaps. It's hard not to think that if we score first we will win comfortably and if it's an early goal another hiding could be on the cards. Team selection is going to be interesting, it would be very hard to drop jack, mclean or christie after Wednesday. Dare i say it but would the most prudent choice be give to Considine a wee rest and stick Shinnie to LB?
  7. If, and that's a big fucking if, the huns were to stump up the necessary coin to get to speak to him I would be surprised if DM's head wasn't turned a little bit. That wouldn't make it a done deal by any stretch though and he doesn't seem a director of football kinda guy either. No chance he won't be staying until the summer regardless though but if he does go then I still think it's far more likely he will go to England than Mordor.
  8. Have a few underpasses so people can cross over without going near cars, the road is not even built yet so it couldn't be that hard to incorporate into plans you would think. It seems a very resolvable issue if you ask me.
  9. the guy is a section under the mental health act waiting to happen.
  10. Anyone at the game? You should totally start a song. It's only 3 points It's only 3 pooooooiiints Mark McGhee It's only 3 points

    VPN's are your friends gents.
  12. No danger we would have sold hayes to them for a mill. Just no way.
  13. Boom, peach of an opener for Morton!
  14. There's no danger they are not going to want to at least speak to dm. We face interesting times.
  15. Rooney might not be banging them in but he always causes defences problems, his link up play against dundee was superb. Not saying i wouldn't consider starting Stockley but Rooney has scored a fair few against County in his time. I would defo start him. I quite fancy us going into this game, if we can handle thistle physically we can handle county. A lot of negativity about Victoria park but don't forget we cam back and won there with ten men for most of the game not so long ago. I really quite like Victoria park actually, i think it's a great wee stadium and you can get a pretty decent atmosphere. I'm sadly on call this weekend but if the phone stays quiet I might pop through and see if i can get a ticket. 0-3 Rooney Hayes and Christie just to really rub county's nose in it.
  16. I would DEFO start Christie, he's going to be well up for it!
  17. Some good well thought out post's here folks, well done. I did hypothesise a few months back that perhaps shinnie himself prefers CM than LB and it appears to be case. Fair enough but IMO he's a better LB than he is CM despite aquitting himself very well in that role. I actually thought it was quite a good window for us, key players retained being the most important thing and i would have christie over maddigol if only for his experience in the league. It's a shame about may but i suspect it's only a matter of time until we see him in a dons top. Truth be told I want to see Storey given a chance, I really thought he was a handful at ICT.
  18. If Cardiff do up the ante to a level that the board accept I would really like to see at least some of the money re-invested. I would take Mallan from Helen (150k would do it) and Crawford from Hamiltion (450k would probably get him). Both very good players and both in the final 6 months of contract. Whilst neither is a direct replacement for hayes mallan can defo play wide.
  19. We've got a chance here, we have something to play for and they don't really. No-one expects anything else but a celtic victory so we have nothing to lose by having a pop at them but sadly I suspect McInness will err on the side of cautiuon as per. It's a scary thought to think Hayes might not be at the club for it, I expect (no source, just hunch) a bid of about 900k tomorrow...... I can see the board choking at that maybe. Obviously I hope I am wrong.
  20. No. it will be on tim tv though so should be easy enough to find a stream online.
  21. Just watched the highlights, have to say the wee overhead flick from rooney to maclean in the first half gets better every time you watch it. Re Taylor yeah he looks alright at the moment but i still think he's got big mistakes in him. Lets face it the back line has not really had too much to do the past few games but next up is a mid-week trip to the san giro and that's going to be a far more testing environment. I wouldn't be at all surprised if a taylor fuck up costs us a goal on wednesday.
  22. Really? Tam Aberdeen have the best away support in the league Cowan doesn't like us? I've never once got that impression from him in 20 years of listening to otb
  23. Every club in scotland is a diddy club.
  24. It's not cap in hand though, I think this is a very astute piece of business. Christie is a really good player and having Shinnie, Hayes and Rooney at the club to help him settle I don't think it will take him long to get up to speed. Our chances of finishing the season strongly just increased significantly imo. We could see more of shinnie at lb because of this.
