  1. There's a very interesting analysis of this over on wings, well worth a read regard less of your constitutional leaning. https://wingsoverscotland.com/rushing-to-the-gallows/#more-93827
  2. Can't see the tories taking any seats from the snp under fptp and I suspect the one they have in Scotland is on a shoogly peg. Mundel only won his seat by a few hundred votes as it was. I'm not sure where Tories can really make gains down south, virtually all the labour seats are safe and the lib dems are more likely to recapture lost seats than lose any more to them. Far from increasing her majority May could lose it altogether.
  3. And yet the evidence suggests otherwise. I suspect I'm pissing in the wind pointing out evidence to you given the content of your posts though it never hurts to try.
  4. I'd be happy to get devlin. I'd still be interested in Ali Crawford despite his recent mediocre form too. I think he would thrive in a better side.
  5. Agreed
  6. I like Christie, thought he was a very talented player at ICT and i would love to keep him. I must admit the shaky defence descriptions do not fill me with confidence for next weekend, Hibs will come at us you would think
  7. Maclean is now having to get used to being a focus for the opposition team, so much goes through him and he's become a bit of target. I would be interested to see his stats for being fouled for the past year, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see it increase in the past few months. I agree about end product though, we defo need to see a little more of him goal/assist wise.
  8. Whatever happens Deek needs to get this nonsense pinned up on the wall in the dressing room. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39581434
  9. She can do what she want's with my gearstick
  10. I really don't think this is the time to be shifting two of the most settled positions in the team. I would love to see Shinnie at LB as much as anyone, hell I advocated his signing as a LB for long enough but DM is never going to break up the cm partnership that has served him so well this season. Ultimately AC and GS made their respective positions their own quite a while ago and I would advocate keeping them there for now. That said I'm sure AC would still prefer to be playing CB but I think it's pretty clear that Shinnie prefer's CM. After Sunday I wouldn't be that surprised to see DM make a change to the cb pairing but if Reynolds does come back in it's probably going to be for AOC. I don't think he will though, I think it will be the same starting line up as Sunday. Regardless though we better be seeing a reaction after the trauma of Sunday.
  11. Interesting. They have had managers on one year rolling since O'Neill. I wonder if they have done this to ensure a good fee if someone comes in for him. I'll be very surprised if he's here for another 4 years.
  12. I watched the last ryder cup quite closely which was a first for me. Are we expecting a good masters golf fans?
  13. Not heard that before, when was this said? I think he signed him primarily because he is really quick and that's not a quality we have in other strikers. That he was OOC and probably not relatively expensive probably clinched it. I do wonder if DM had been planning to play two up top more often this season but binned it because it wasn't working.
  14. They really look pretty fucked right now
  15. Listed on the club website as a midfielder but in a youth cup preview from the summer last year on the club website he says he's a striker! http://www.afc.co.uk/news/8350.php#.WOPlDt9ic8o
  16. Assuming it turns out to be an afc v victim fc final I would really be wanting to beat them in the last league game, it's been a while and it would be a great weight off the back for the team to know we can actually defeat them. Especially after the last cup final....
  17. Are they really growing particularly strong though? They have hit a peak for sure but still only got 22 % in the last scottish elections. To add a little context in the 97 labour landslide general election they got 17.5 % of the vote in Scotland. Incredibly given how shit a year that was for the tories in the 2015 general election they got even less, a meager 14.6. I'm not convinced an indy Scotland would go for full membership, at the very least not straight away anyway but even if they did I always find the "how is that independent?" question a very confusing one. Would you say that all other 27 eu nations are not self determining independent countries? The two unions are very different beasts and bear little similarity in comparison other than the name E.g.. One requires handing all that you make over to the uk parliament to then be issued an allowance to spend, the other does not. Brussels clearly has influence over the member states but it doesn't have anything even resembling absolute control. Westminster does over the 4 countries of the union though. Another very key difference is quite telling with regard to how each parliament views it's member states. Westminster did not have to seek permission to have a legal referendum on membership to the EU but Holyrood has to have westminsters permission to hold a referendum on membership of the union.
  18. I was born in bellshill, lived in a few different places but predominantly Inverness. On Betty and Wilma I can't think of either without thinking of this scene from Red Dwarf.
  19. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39482050 Its the hope that kills you sometimes.
  20. It's possible DM may think about shaking it up slightly with the hordes of mordor coming over on Sunday in mind. Maybe just a couple of changes, get christie and pawlett in perhaps though I'm not sure who for. If anything else many have commented on how this might be quite a hard fought match and ICT have a few players who are a bit clumsy in a challenge. Maclean was rested against dundee with his fairly early sub so he's likely to start but perhaps McGinn or Hayes could be rested. Is Stockley available for this game? He could be a good option to have if ICT start getting physical. One thing I would add is that this is the first time since the 7-2 Motherwell game that we are facing a side with a competent striker. McKay is pain in the arse to play against sometimes and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he scored. Inverness have defo improved since we played them last and the club in general has an ever growing grievance against us plus a lot of their fans actively despise Aberdeen. In short they're going to be well up for this game but will be shitting it a bit after the Dundee game too. Early goal could be key in this one, if we get that we could give them a bit of a shoeing 2bh but if it's still goal-less at half time it could be a really frustrating 2nd half. out online Walk the dog listening to post match on RS 3-1 dons Christie, Jack and Logan. Really hope we win this as most of the boys in my darts team are Inverness fans. The seethe would be glorious if it was all ex players on the Aberdeen score sheet I might add
  21. Remember in the summer Deek made a beeline for a couple of big solid players because we got pushed around a lot last season? I think deek would be more than happy to have an option like Osman for the def mid role. Don't get me wrong I agree with a lot of what you say there and it's very pleasing the way we are playing at the moment but looking back through history you find an awful lot of great teams have such a player. You can put a big part of Arsenals demise to the fact they have still never found someone to pick up the reigns Viera left for example. Osman would be a good addition to the team imo, he can defo play a bit and isn't going to pushed off the ball by anyone. You'll be pleased to hear it's highly unlikely to happen given Osman is actually 30 (i just looked it up, thought he was mid 20's) and I can't see DM going there.
  22. Reasonably thought you could only really call him up to play LB given that is his position now and he's not better than Robertson or Tierney in that position.
  23. What tom said.
  24. Yeah I've mentioned him, he looks hte nastry bastard we have been looking for for a long time. He reminds me a little of bisco.
  25. I take your point, it's not unfair. My logic on this would be if we took Mcginn out of the current side the remaining ten would be more than capable carrying a young player like Wright through his first ten starts. If we are to sign to replace him however I would be maybe looking at Stevie Mallan at Helen. He's always looked very capable though I'm not sure if he prefers a more central role.
