  1. Stunned Scott Allan is missing.
  2. Anyone watch McInness's presser on red tv? He responds to the whole Clarke situation really well and quite amusingly. Last game was on Partick TV for £6 if you had a decent enough VPN so hopefully they will again . No idea how the manager will line us up for this one which is a bit worrying.
  3. Disagree Kiriakov, the kid must clearly want to play for Scotland given the English interest in him. Good for him, given he's playing for man u it would have been easy for him to think playing for England would be better for his career all in.
  4. I think dm is trying to protect Logan who is a shadow of his previous self. Clarke is at it big time though. You can tell he worked with Jose who would very much approve of this rhetoric. The media wankfest over Clarke is becoming increasingly nauseating and unless Murty wins the SC they will be pushing for him to Mordor in the summer.
  5. I adored that game..... I especially liked horsing my hun pal at it 2 player. He used to be a dandy then.started following the hins about age 12.
  6. Well you say that about budget the word on the street up here is N'Gog is on 7-8k a week...
  7. When was the last time anyone heard anything about his injury progress? When we signed him i remember an article saying he could be fit sometime in March.
  8. Firstly, what the actual fuck. I mean seriously, how can so many of you be speaking like this? Hang your heads in shame all those using the phrase 'Old Firm' to describe the tims and the tribute act. That pairing died with the huns........ hard to be be called the old firm when one team is only 5 and half years old. ICT vs County is an older rivalry ffs. It's language like that that encourages the idea that they are the same club. CONSTANT VIGILANCE!!!!! etc etc. Just saying. McInnes has become something of a conundrum now. It's clear we have regressed again and the pressure is mounting, Willie Miller being critical on DM's tactics is a very telling one. Still it's highly unlikely the chairman won't even think about sacking him unless we fail to qualify for europe. He's also on a long term expensive deal and I suspect thinking about it would be as far as it would go. Further speculation seems fairly pointless about it at the moment though I completely agree that his position should be up for debate. One thing I would add is that it's not impossible for him to dig us out of this rut. On the 2 recent defeats I don't think we would have lost either if Shinnie had played. If there's one benefit of his suspension is that he looked a bit leggy recently though. He will be very important to us on Sat and given Killie played yesterday I'm confident of a win and good performance assuming the game goes ahead. I think the make or break part of our season will be Devlin. If he settles with McKenna quickly that could be a tremendous partnership and a total game changer. Our problem this season has been our meekness, it's not a new problem but it's more prominent now we don't have Hayes to bail us out with a goal out of nothing against the better sides. I think a big reason for this is the overall team and managers lack of confidence in the defence. The thing is we all know that the defence has been shaky for years. That Considine is decent enough as long as he's not facing anyone quick but really we need an actual LB. That logan has been on the decline for the past year and a half and there is no obvious challenge to his position so we need a RB too. That the midfield is light and has been for ages and we have too many players in positions we don't need and the wage could be better utilised. Reynolds Ball and Maynard spring to mind here. I'm sure we could get at least one competent Fb for their wage. In short the squad management has been very poor but it has been for a while with certain positions which falls at the managers door. The past season has seen a lot of birds come home to roost, and maybe it is time for new leadership, but there's no chance we will get it anytime soon. We have to hope that McInnes learns from this, it's the first time he has faced any kind of significant displeasure from the majority of the support which may motivate him to change his ways.
  9. Good, fresh squad for Saturday
  10. Thank you
  11. Have you got a link for that rocket?
  12. Bar a scoring against barca I can recall nothing of note. Why does he have this amazing talent tag? His age is interesting, 24 can be a point where people really grow up a bit.... Actually become adults. A lot of people thought Griffiths was a lost cause despite his talent and it was about this age he turned a corner. Say what you likeabout DM but players clearly love playing for him. If Watt is really such a prodigal talent he could beat the right age with a manager capable of getting him focused.
  13. Fair dues but may I remind you of the last time you vowed never to watch Aberdeen because of a dislike of someone.
  14. You make fair points TC, no danger Milne is going to show him the door though even if we finish 4th or 5th and go out of the cup to Killie (what i think is worst case scenario for the remainder of the season). Hypothetically though if he was to move on I would be delighted with Lennon. I've got to be honest I've never understood why so many don't like him. Huns certainly for but he really is despised fairly universally amongst Scottish fans and I just find it quite odd. Sure he was a bit of a nasty bastard on the pitch but I admire that in a CM. Any time he has done any punditry I have found him insightful, humorous and very objective. I also thought he spoke very well about suffering depression and was very candid about it on National Radio. I'll probably get a few Durrants for this but personally I really quite like Lennon.
  15. Not overly surprised we lost this one but, as has already been mentioned, the way we were completely out played the second half was very disappointing. Shinnie really was such a miss but one thing I would add is that was a really good performance from Hibs. We had our shortcomings clearly but it's not like we lost to diddies and we lost it in the midfield. Allan, McGeoch and McGinn really impressed me as a midfield 3, it's easily the best midfield I have seen domestically this season and I would not be at all surprised if they go the rest of the season unbeaten if they keep them fit. The only player of ours that could get in there is Shinnie over McGeoch but not by much. Have to say McGinn has really bulked up this past year hasn't he? He's defo going on to better things in the summer and whilst all the chat has been he's probably going to Celtic they may have missed their chance. Richer clubs in better leagues than Scotland will be looking very closely at him and he could very easily be playing in any top league in Europe next season. Celtic next is intimidating but they will be just back from Russia and a poor St J held them at the San Giro today so it's far from a hopeless task. Guarantee the midfield the Tims put out on Sunday won't be as good as Hibs is at the moment at the very least.
  16. C'mon MBT, we're all on the edge of our seats. Tell all, are you walking a little lighter today or what?
  17. Been reporting eck has got it
  18. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43063542 Have to say his case his actually not too bad, I don't think he's the best manager in the world but I have often thought Hughes gets judged as a manager purely on the way he speaks. I mean that in the literal sense, his accent and working class vernacular. Don't get me wrong I'm far from convinced he should, let alone will, get the job but i have to say I would have him over McLeish any day of the week 2bh. At least he tries to play football.
  19. I said pretty much exactly the same to my hibby pal on Saturday night Al
  20. Less fans make the journey so there is more of a partizan crowd against you is the only hindrance. If the team is good enough it doesn't make much of a difference though and at the moment you would say Killie are. This is a tough draw we have and I'm very glad it's at home. That pitch of theirs is fucking murder! I hope it's not an early KO, it has the potential to be a really good tie this one and I would hope we get a high away attendance to aid atmosphere.
  21. Rocket it was Pa Broon who brought back Leighton and DM binned him for Gordon Marshall fairly early on in his tenure. I would say he's partially made up for his keeper errors in the past by recognising and getting the likes of Ward and Lewis but at the moment though it's not looking so rosy. Its very hard to not agree with you that Woodman looks a bit of a wussy, kind of got a bit of a gms quality about him in that regard. Still it's not like Newcastle would have been a fun place to be the past wee while to be fair, it may take him time to settle as a result but overall I'm a bit meh about both him and Rogers after the county game. From what i saw yesterday I think I would have prefered to stick with our own man though I'm not sure he would have done any better.
  22. And we got a home tie.
  23. I think the best advice I could give on any kind of relationship is simply that if you find that the other person involved is consistently a toxic influence on your life then limit your contact with them as much as feasibly possible. Strike them off as a lost cause and instead of wasting time and energy on them focus it on relationships that you cherish and nurture those instead. Sadly this advice doesn't seem to work with football clubs, I'm looking at you here AFC:laughing:
  24. Lawell isn't wrong though I don't think I would like how he would want to restructure things. The man doesn't give a shit about Scottish Football as a whole.
  25. It's entirely possible she's just a bit mental mate.
