  1. 451? Ball and shinnie in the middle of the park with Maclean playing behind Cosgrove? or could be a 433 christie and gms playing up front?
  2. Red tv international al ?
  3. All of this provides a striking example of the human mind and how tribal leanings affect decision making. I took a wee gander over to tribute act media yesterday (through a VPN I might add, digital bagging up as it were purely out of principle). The Gerrad thread started on the 22nd of April where the concept is universally described as a bad idea for obvious reasons. Jump forward to the day of announcement and the same people are coming in their pants at the prospect. "Can't wait for next season", "good time to be a ger", "the f**ians are running scared" etc etc. The switch away from rational reasoning has been largely fueled by the media coverage but it is a really big story to be fair. I think the clincher for the hordes of mordor is that for the first time in a long time they feel like a big deal again. They have been derided, humiliated and zombified with only the sweet whisper of past glories to sustain the delusion of granduer that is their hugely inflated sense of entitlement and the resulting cultural superiority they need to to get out of bed to claim their giro in the morning. The media are just as bad. They are lapping up being the people in the know on the biggest footballing story in britain. All of a sudden the english media is calling them up fascinated about it and they also feel like a big deal, and we all know how many journo's are total huns too. That's where all this on the map bullshit is coming from. It changes very little though, having the fans onside only buys you a few extra months at a club like the huns. The appointment remains a massive gamble regardless, that they are searching down the sofa for every last pound coin to give him only adds to the risk. I actually agree with Mickey Weir to an extent but not for the reason he thinks it for. Should this appointment go spectacularly wrong (I wouldn't give any odds longer than 1/2 on that at the moment) it is going to cost them a fucking fortune and they could go to the wall again. A 4 year deal on what will be a very healthy wage will be very expensive to terminate. Given the public nature of the appointment SG's negotiating team had the huns over a barrel (they really had to get their man this time) so highly unlikely there is a break clause. And that's before you even start thinking about how much it's going to cost to completely renovate the squad.
  4. Have we ever actually won a match when we've been on Alba? If we have it can't be many.
  5. Not convinced of that Kow, he's not really done very much of note in management.
  6. Nah not offended, no apology necessary. I knew what you meant I just felt it was a poor choice of language that detracted from and cheapened a good point. Fwiw I don't think you're a homophobe, you clearly hate everyone quite equally ?
  7. Done deal apparently, get the popcorn ready boys and girls cos this is going to be hilarious.
  8. No need for the homophobia rocket but I agree with most of what you say. 2bf though in the Arsenal invincibles era he did give me probably the best, if not, certainly the most enjoyable side I have ever watched. Particularly because whilst I am of the opinion that Zidane is the best player I have seen the player I have most enjoyed watching in my years (bar Jess) is Dennis Bergkamp. Wenger did not take him to Arsenal but he polished him to a hell of a shine so I will always remember Arsene Wenger with fondness even if he did leave Arsenal a decade too late.
  9. Would be nice if dons fans joined in for that and vice versa. I have a lot of time for hibs fans, always been made to feel very welcome when visiting easter road.
  10. Some fanny on hun media speculating that fenway sports group might be behind this sp they can invest when Gerrard is manager. The delusions of the hordes of mordor never fails to entertain.
  11. Could be DM uses that to his advantage. I.e. I can't believe how little we had to pay for you sam.
  12. Say what you like about DM but he is tremendous at getting players onside. He won't be unaware of his past so he must have had assurances over his future conduct from the player and feels he can work with him. It will all depend on how much of a roaster he actually is. Griffiths and Stokes spring to mind, let's hope he follows the formers path.
  13. I was really impressed by Cosgrove on friday and, going against the grain, I thought May combined well with him.
  14. I actually really feel for Murty, der hun have treated him appallingly. Re gerrard it's a win win as far as I'm concerned. If he takes it it's most likely going to be a car crash and hilarious. If he doesn't der hun have a massive egg on their face and it's also hilarious. Genuinely stunned they aren't going for Clark but I suppose he might not be keen on the DOF element to the gig
  15. Some phenomenal schadenfreude available over on hun media folks.
  16. Everyone's been good 2bh, all at least 7 out of ten. Would love to see May get a goal
  17. Excellent performance so far! There's been lots of stand outs, Cosgrove included.

    Betting

I really can't believe how much time y'all have wasted on that debate. Interesting read in parts though so fair dues on that. My tuppeny bits worth would be that cash out started as a means to get more people betting with which ever sight first came up with it and all the others then followed suit. I really can't see it making or losing the bookies anything particularly significant. Ultimately it's just like betting, it's great if your bet was destined to lose and not so if not. I've used it a few times and I'm up because of it.
  19. Would be hilarious if he was, can't believe they aren't pushing the boat out for clark
  20. The way they played us off the park last time? No Maclean available? That's 2 I can think of.
  21. I would agree with Brown 2bh. Hibs are balanced, solid, creative and clinical with a manager that is tactically astute and fearless. If they keep that team together for next season I may even chuck a fiver on them for the league.
  22. Don't recall him playing LB more than a handful of times in his entire afc career. Not so sure he is now, last time I saw him a lB he lloked very rusty. I think if Shinnie wanted to play LB then he would be 2bh
  23. Very interesting read Al, can't argue with his analysis of the side but he did seem to have forgotten about Devlin at CB.
