The Club can today provide the following update on injuries to Gavin Molloy and Ester Sokler. Gavin has unfortunately sustained a shoulder injury and following advice from a specialist will require surgery before an intensive rehab programme, with a return to action not expected until May. Meanwhile, Ester has suffered a hamstring injury that will keep him out for a minimum of 8 weeks. Commenting on the injuries, Dons boss Jimmy Thelin said: “It’s clearly a big disappointment for us to lose both Gavin and Ester for extended time periods but our medical team will provide excellent guidance and rehabilitation for both players in the next few months to help get them back to fitness as soon as possible. “We will continue to work to find solutions to help ensure the squad remains competitive and everyone at the Club wishes them both a speedy recovery.” Our injury list is pretty grim at the moment all things considered

I'm cautiously optimistic about this one after the addition of Tobers. The ABZ podcast did a wee dive into his stats etc with a Latvian football podcaster and despite the fact Grasshoppers are second bottom Tobers numbers put him as one of the best defenders in the league. Hopefully he will bring some much needed stability and composure in the back line on Sunday. 2-0 dons, Nisbet double
-
Dave Bus and whoever he was partnered with? Even Solberg was better than him
-
I got 2 million for him on football manager not so long ago
-
Och I'm not convinced his dons career is over just yet. My feeling on Ruby is if you put him next to an experienced CB who takes charge of the back line he would probably be quite handy. Kinda like what Miller used to do with Mcleish
-
Could be wrong but my feeling is we want both
-
So, if the rumours are to be believed about the 400k bid for Jensen, we currently have 1.2 million on the table for 2 cb's. Say what you like about Cormack but he defo puts his money where his mouth is.

I've said to a few pals the past few performances have reeked of players knowing they are away soon and not wanting to get injured. Hopefully we start to see some in's and outs next week as after motherwell we are home to hearts and then away to der hun midweek.
-
Praying for Tam Cowan to be proven right with his "any team needing a result always seems to get one against Motherwell" schtick.
-
Clubs don't like anonymous sales these days either, they want a name attached to every ticket sold.
-
that snow is a bit mental

I believe if they drag their feet then money can bet taken from spfl payments they are due. Not disappointed with 600k, it's more than we would have got if he had left Scotland and thpugh it should have been closer to 750k it will still hurt der hun's finances.
-
I think we can take it as read Nisbet is away in January.

Feeling confident for this one 2bh despite Hibs recent improvement. I have a feeling the club will have given the players some time off to get home to see families etc and hopefully they will have an extra spring in their step the steps on Sat as a result. I certainly fully expect them to be right on it from the whistle and we should have enough to take the points. 3-0 dons, Keskinen, Sokler and the Scottish Cafu.

Hard to feel too much sympathy for the parents to be honest. If they had raised their kid better then Barron would have would have more about him, instead he stabbed the club and the city that raised him in the back.

Just do what I did with the Qatar WC. Watch on illegal streams rather than tv, I'm glad I did as well as the Qatar world cup was a cracking tournament all in.

It was interesting to see Polvara preferred to Palaversa though Polvara was being played far further forward than Palaversa would be. It's also interesting the extension for Palaversa hasn't been triggered which makes me suspect he would be on a bigger wage if we do and we aint sure he's worth it in the grand scheme of things. Despite the loss I'm not very disheartened, I never thought we would challenge long term but we were very unfortunate not to get something from that.... and if Clarkson takes his chance just before they score then we very easily could have won it. We defo looked far more defensively stable than we have for a while last night which i take the greatest pleasure in. You could argue the conditions hampered celtics possesion based style more than ours but we didn't really give them much all game and credit to Mcgarry who put his shaky performance against hearts in the bin and turned in a really solid one in last night. I really did fear for him last night going up against Kuhn but he dealt with it well. Also huge credit to Doohan, an early stop did his confidence the world of good and looked pretty assured the rest of the game (which eases the mind about Mitov's abcense going forward). I've seen a few grumbles about Keskinen recently and they are not all without merit. I was saying to my pal last night he's just not really lit up a game yet but I'm hopeful it's just a get settled in a new league and country thing and he will show us why we spent big on him in the second half of the season. On wide men, I wouldn't mind seeing vinny get a start on Sat, I thought he looked good when he came on and, like morris, he defo seems to be getting his head up a bit more when on the ball...... Duk on the other hand was far more wasteful and posed little threat bar falling over when losing possesion. Looking forward, ST J is a must win game if we are serious about second but then we are off for 2 weeks.... which I think could be a blessing in disguise as after we are home to hibs, away to Kilmarnock, away to utd, home to county and then away to motherwell in the space of 15 days. That's pretty gruelling but it's the same fixture list for all our opponents and we should be looking to take maximum points from that run of games imo. I'm not saying there are not tough fixtures in there but none of them are getting a free fixture weekend in the build up to it and we have a better squad than all of them.

Actually I think would be 6 stars, they were relegated in 77, 79 and 81. Tinpot fucks
-
Aye first thing I said to my pal when he came one was "he's lost at least half a stone in weight".
-
Well, that was fun

I'm get back to this properly when I get to a PC but I saw this this morning and thought I would pass it on. https://blueprint2024.com/polling/why-trump-reasons-11-8/ " The results paint a clear picture: Democrats were punished for inflation, misalignment on immigration and cultural issues, and Biden. The top three reasons not to vote for Harris were: “Inflation was too high under the Biden-Harris Administration” (+24) “Too many immigrants illegally crossed the border under the Biden-Harris Administration” (+23) “Kamala Harris is focused more on cultural issues like transgender issues rather than helping the middle class” (+17). This suggests that Harris was weighed down heavily by the Biden administration, particularly by inflation and their track record on immigration. Harris was also weighed down by voters’ belief that she focused on liberal cultural issues. In fact, this was the most frequent criticism among swing voters who broke for Trump (+28)." Clearly it wasn't a side issue for those folks.

Jesus fucking wept. This kind of attitude is EXACTLY why the Democrats lost. "well, i don't think this is a big deal so no-one else should and if you do you're a bigot. We know better, just suck it up oiks" 1. Whether you like it or not it's not a fucking side issue at all. As I said prior a lot of people have become single issue voters over it over here (look at the collapse of the female vote for the SNP if you need an example) and I would be very surprised if it's not the same in the states. 2. Where was I when people in positions of authority were raping women? Condemning it whenever I became aware of it. Giving birth in a cell? Also condemning it. The difference here is that in both cases the prison staff are failing in their duty of care and there are processes in place to to discipline them for it and for them to lose their jobs. Prisons are not meant to be holiday camps but, equally, people should be safe within them. It's interesting though that you show concern on those fronts but then show nothing but contempt for woman when you trivialise rape by saying "Or any other far more pressing issues in women's prisons that don't involved getting biffed by a tranny.". Why are you ok with with women getting locked up with males that want to rape them that they can't escape from cos, you know, prison? Genuine question. Also what are these issues in womans prisons that are more pressing that inmates being raped? Again, genuine question. 3 "It's fucking mental how such a side issue has been elevated to something important. It's impressive actually. It started with an attempt to help a relatively small number of people with identity issues, was picked up by the crap-rags who made it the biggest issue of our times" This is not what happened at all. What started out as a very noble cause to raise awareness for those suffering the mental health condition, gender dysphoria, was hijacked and has now basically become a male supremacy movement. Further to that the ideological capture of institutions (see the edinburgh rape crisis centre controversy for example) and the indoctrination of children in schools has further stoked the fire. I feel absolutely gutted for the actually gender dysphoric because none of them wanted this. 4. It's not about "genital history" it's about an emperors new clothes level delusion (namely the concept that sex is not real and immutable) sweeping the world and weak minded people going along with it because they are too scared to offend or be branded a bigot. Hope you enjoyed your wee virtue signal though
-
I also don't think you can underestimate the effect Identity politics has had on this result as well btw. It's made plenty of people, and not just women, single issue voters over here so no reason to think it won't be over there and I think it is a big reason why so many demographics that would normally vote Democrat heavily weigh in for trump. Most folks don't want to see males in women's sports and prisons and are sick of being called bigots for refusing to pretend that someone wasn't born the way they were. It will be interesting to see the effect a trump presidency has on this issue both domestically and internationally.
