I agree with Kowalski - 18 team league for me. Play each team home and away - It couldn't be easier. 10 team league is a backwards step in my opinion.

Once Brown and Knox sign McNamee and another full back what does everyone think of a move for Francis Jeffers? Has been outstanding in the A-league for Newcastle (although he hasn't bagged many goals) and is leaving to return to UK in January after a '10 game guest stint'. Basically were bottom of the league until he arrived and now are mid table. Not after a large wage and would surely be an asset?

Aye, that's a shame. Mackie is the type of player we need in a relegation battle - One who plays for the shirt and gives 100%. Not the most gifted player in the world but always puts in a shift and when it's five games from the end of the season and we are in the shit fight, the guys who turn it on for 15 mins a game are no good to anyone. Was it not around the same time that we put money into building the ridiculously sized RDS, that Alex Miller happened, the following dodds/winters + cash + pay Dodds' wages happened, One Million pound man paul bernard, Craig Hignetts massive wages etc etc? How? How can he carry on after this and the sh*t run of results he has had. This is one of the most embarrassing days ever for AFC. His record is worse than Steve Paterson's. The way he handle's himself at interviews and the way he publicly bad mouths his players is terrible. Miller is also a part in this an needs to go, as does Milne (although I can't ever see that happening). Surely McGhee must be saying to himself that he has to go. With his rolling contract, does that mean he has a year from any point that AFC decide to sack him? i.e. if they decide to sack him tomorrow, are we due him a years wages from that point?

I fully agree with this. Miller has to go!! (and so does McGhee). I fail to see what Miller contributes to the club and is only interested in swanning round Aberdeen as if he owns the place. The sooner they are both out, the better.

At that time of the morning (02:14 when I looked), AFC should have all the lights turned off and be saving some cash. Think how the poor toaster feels now!

I cannot imagine Smith commanding that big a wage due to his past injuries and lack of availability. I would have thought we could afford both of them. Perhaps the way to go with Smith would be to to offer him a smaller wage with bonuses for a 'pay as you play' type deal? I am hoping that we sign Hughes, perhaps keep Smith depending on what McGhee finds and spend Seve's wages wisely on a centre half.

A captain is someone who needs to be an example on and off the field. We are really short of any candidates. Although Zander gives his all on the field for Aberdeen, I for one do not want to have a captain who's Celtic shirt hangs out the back of is jacket while he walks down union street.

No announcement this week!!!? This is getting almost as strung out as the farce that is Newcastle United. Get him back from his two weeks in Scarborough and get him to work. It'll be nice to draw a line under all of this and get moving forward (hopefully) to the new season.
