  1. Between, the cash we'll have to give Motherwell and the amount we had to pay the Jimmy's (?) to Foxtrot Oscar, there'll be nae cash left for anyone, never mind Clarkson.
  2. Sounds like the level of compensation we'll have to give Motherwell!!?
  3. If I was a Dundee fan, I'd be slightly worried about spending that amount of cash on a player. It was all tea and cakes when the Bonnetti revolution came swaggering through dens, spending out with their means until reality hit home and it nearly finished the club.
  4. Please stop including the name Jim Jeffries with anything to do with the Aberdeen Job. I thought everyone would have got his name out of their systems around the time that we appointed Alex Miller. Never mind the football, imagine the post/pre match interviews. Chuck Steve Paterson in and it's a clash of the titans to see who send the interviewer to sleep first!
  5. No, merely stating what will no doubt happen based on what has happened at AFC over the last 10 years. Not complaining about the manager (why do you know who he is?). I'll back him 100% even if they appoint someone who I don't like. Something that i hope the rest of the dons fans will do?
  6. Only if you want McGhee at Todders next season.
  7. Aside from the debate of should we keep Severin or not, you would have to think that Seve and Smith would be on good money at the club and that we should be able to attract decent players in their place, with the wages we could offer. No doubt it'll be a heap o numpties rather than 2 quality players!?
  8. For the record, there were no flies on any of the chocolate croissants that I consumed!! :-)
  9. Naa, I've heard that Kerr and Co are banned from all social gathering's after the royal rumble on Belmont street.
  10. C'mon now KGB, that's not all true. He'd be well looked after and be staying in plush places where he'll be limited to how many diseases he can catch and limited to what trouble he can get into. It's not as though he's a rig-pig that will be staying in some dodge pot motel and be swatting the flies off his chocolate croissants each morning.
  11. He's as bad a shout as anyone else for the job. I really hope that AFC pull someone out of the bag, a real catch but, I bet the short list is pretty grim.
  12. What's Peter Reid (wi the f^&kin Monkeys heid) up to these days? He'd gee the lads up!
  13. My thoughts are the same. I can't see what he's going to give us really. The problem I've got is that I can't see who we are going to attract to the club that is going to take us forward. All the names that have been touted about that are realistic don't exactly give me a warm fuzzy feeling.
  14. Speaking of violence, a good money spinner for AFC would be for all the candidates to duke it out in a ring in the centre circle at Todders. Tenner a ticket. Winner gets the job and can keep the money raised from the fight to buy players!!!!
  15. His loyalty is perhaps what McGhee's working towards!
  16. Oooooyaaaaa Nasty! Nastier than Jim Jeffries at 'Todders.......well, maybe not quite.
  17. The Poll for McGhee is almost 50/50. What exactly has McGhee shown at his previous clubs that makes over 50% of the voters want him as manager? Arguably, he did better work down south than he's done at Motherwell but, really he's not done a great job anywhere he's been. Can anyone see McGhee improving on what JC achieved? I, for one, cannot! Think we need to forget about McGhee.
  18. If AFC have any sense, any comments from any players with regards to Calderwood departing and a new boss coming in would all be scripted or pre approved by the club prior to them hitting the press.
  19. Nope, dinnae like it. Agree with the previous posts - it looks like a training top.
  20. Is it just me or apart from McLeish and Strachan, who we've no chance of getting, do the other candidates on the Poll really fill anyone with any confidence that if given the job, they could take AFC forward? I just cannot see it.
  21. Jagerdeen, you seem very sure of yourself that it won't be Hughes or Ferguson. Has your source told you who we have been trying to bring in?? or has he just been laughing off the candidates listed on here?
  22. This is just a knee jerk reaction that will be forgotten about with time and of course, when Bruce Rioch waltzes in!
  23. Dean Windass - Do we want another ex-player with no managerial experience to take us back to those Willie Miller days, when the inevitable happens and the 'easily swayed' again turn on a former player? Ferguson jr - He has been able to offer players decent wages to attract them, something he would not be able to do at Aberdeen. The whole Ferguson thing is too sentimental and if his father has any sense, he'll be forgetting about his midweek game and calling his son to tell him not to be so stupid.
  24. Don't you think that Seve may just need a change in management style and a little less pressure (relieved of captains duties) to provide him with more motivation to perform like he did when his first seasons?
  25. Seve wants a better offer - Fine but, make the offer better by including performance bonuses. Maybe this would give him a wee bit of a kick up the airse that he needs. Seve's got to stay. On his day he's a fantastic player and our defence would really miss him if he leaves. Considine the carthorse doesn't really fill me with confidence. The new manager needs to sort him out. Seve was a better player before he had the Captain's armband. He's never captain material. I'd strip him of the captaincy and give it to someone else. The problem right now, is who else? Many think Zander - I personally disagree as we cannot have a the captain of Aberdeen, wearing a Celtic shirt when he's walking around town. Anyway Willie - get him signed up!!
