  1. Apparently the scorer didn't celebrate his goal 'cos he used to play for the dead club...what a melt.
  2. Why was it 10mins (apart from the obvious). Was following the game on the BBC and a huge "YAASSSS" when we went 3-2 - since I'm sitting in Costa in Union Sq got a fair few disapproving looks...which increased when it was followed up with OH, FFS.
  3. Not a fan then?
  4. Or, when they equalized, a section wanting Rooos back!"
  5. Sitting in the SS and it was a clear elbow to McKenzie...ref was on the blind side but the lino (old mannies term) must have seen it. I agree that McDonald should start at the tattiedome (actually thought he'd have started today). Would also start Palaversa instead of Nilsen as with him and Shinnie we are a bit immobile in the central area.
  6. Their next game is a relegation battle against Ross County
  7. Haha, when I first started going to Pittodrie in the early '60s you actually could do that because, apart from what is now called the Main Stand, the ground was completely wide open, so if you were standing, say, in the beach end and the ref. gave a penalty at the Merkland Road End all us young kids (and we'd have been a large proportion of the "crowd") would make a beeline to the other end to either try to put off the penalty taker (because, obviously, 20 spotty teenagers (not me obviously, as my skin was crystal clear) would have worried a professional fitba player) or hopefully watch the ball nestle in the net.
  8. You were sitting behind the goals? Well kudos to you, even in my youngest days in the early '60s there was no way I could be behind both goals at the same time.
  9. Well, that'll open Pandara's box. As regards your statement about passing, Stefan Gartenmann had the most completed passes for us last season - a totally meaningless statistic.
  10. In such troubling times of strife and discord, behold the soothing calm of the humble Venn diagram : Perhaps you could adapt this Venn diagram to show us midfielders/age/passing ability!
  11. Really?...but that isn't what you said, "Lightening pace for such a big man". Your point seemed to suggest that lightening pace and big man/male were mutually exclusive and I suggested an alternative.
  12. Well, you are suggesting that if you're a big man, say, 6'5", you can't run fast. I would suggest that Bolt had disproved that theory.
  13. Totally agree his performance in Helsinki was abysmal but, really! "Lightening pace for such a big man"...you do know that Usain Bolt was 6' 5"? Cliché of the day award goes to you! (I'm way to old to put a smiley thingy here)
  14. Exactly how I saw him. When he was on it he was really on it but most of the time he wasn't, I would hazard a guess that he's back because we have his contract, doubt if Thelin is at all thinking about playing someone who isn't fit, isn't interested and doesn't really fit into his idea of how to play fitba. I would think he'll be paid off in January unless someone is daft enough to buy him.

    Films

Read in the Guardian today that there is a new film out about our former striker Lee Miller, though was very surprised to see that Kate Winslet is playing the lead role.
  16. But he never was the type to put in a shift, he was always half-hearted about doing the dirty work.
  17. Nilsen and Shinnie compared to Simmie and Tattie? Seriously?
  18. And been told not to think first, just do it!
  19. Can't see what you youngsters are talking about must be my blurred vision.
  20. As John McEnroe would say "Are you being serious!"...even though he didn't do much today, his darts across the line were excellent and he knows what he's going to do before he gets the ball. When Ambrose broke away down the right, passed to Morris in the middle and all he had to do was take a touch and play it left where we were 2 on 1...instead he took a second touch, and because he lightning quick, lost the ball. The best I can say about him is that he isn't Matty Kennedy.
  21. Exactly...as soon as the fixtures were announced they should have said that they are confident that both teams will win their respective preliminary ties and so their first 2/3 league games will all be played on the following Sunday their Euro games which would have been really helpful for St M and Killie (and Dons fans) who'd have booked train and, possibly, B&B for the Saturday only to find out the fixture had been changed. But then when have the SPFL or the SFA ever given a fuck about anyone apart the bigots)
  22. Hope it's an ology, otherwise it doesn't count.
  23. Reminds me of '14 when we got a series of draws against "inferior" opposition...so DU in the semi and Sevco in the final to continue the sequence?
  24. Hopefully the game is postponed until the Wednesday night.
  25. Steady...that's septic fans you are thinking about!
