  1. Just back from the 5 Munros of the Arrochar Alps in the snow.Great visibility and views down Loch Long and out to Ailsa Craig.Pretty rugged hills too,the only downside being the people traffic heading up the Cobbler

    Celeb Deaths

Heart attack apparently.A decent enough chap,by England manager standards.
  3. Both.Mainly loch(or lake) fishing but occasionally hire a boat off of Harris. manc-don - nae sure if you mean overnight accomodation or somewhere to spend a couple of days. Kinlochourn is one of my fave places, camping or bnb at the end of a remote track. maybe get in touch nearer the time tie options in with forecast
  4. Joan Armatrading - Love and affection
  5. Plenty looting and plummeting in Paisley..
  6. Heard further good reports yesterday about it exceeding expectations. The fishing looks ace too...
  7. Am up those areas every other w/e.Gies a shout if youre stuck for ideas/what to do,tracks, trails, beaches, bnbs etc
  8. Walking for miles all day up and down hills doesnt bother me,but 5 minutes on a bike literally to me is torture.Even allowing for the different muscles used, you would think it wouldnt need that much of a transition Danny Mac - thats my favourite vid of his. Most folks need ropes to get up the In Pinn, fair play to him
  9. My recent track records a bit ropey, but another forum saying Andy Cannon close to signing, faever he is
  10. Signed a 2 year contract starting April or May this year . £200k though?,surely talking upper hundreds before thinking about selling
  11. Its a strange one.Our home crowds are probably less than they should be,but our away support is proportionally higher than most others Wasnt always the same though.IMO our core home support is pretty much the same as it always was.The away support has evolved a lot over the years though. When I went to my first away games in the late seventies, there were often only a handful of Dons fans there(with the exception of Dundee,or big cup games).Wasnt that great in the eighties either,in proportion to the success we had.Started to increase in the early nineties and grew to present levels around Ebbe's time despite having some of the worst ever teams.A strange one, disposable income increase maybe? ...good to see though, just wish we could grow the home support
  12. http://www.donssupporterstogether.com/index.php/component/k2/item/171-travelling-dons-fans-named-best-in-scotland Dont go to many away games these days, but well done the boys that do
  13. Apologies.Hadnt heard of the guy (or his age).Sheep on fire are usually good for news ...though I hear we're after a Turkish midfielder
  14. Sheep on fire-facebook are normally ok,but they took it from another site.Nothing on AFC site.Could well be bollocks
  15. Welcome min, where about in the N/E do you hail originally?
  16. He's got a bright future behind him.....
  17. This may be a wind up,but..... Hamilton accept £150k bid for Massimo Donati https://www.facebook.com/sheeponfire/?hc_ref=NEWSFEED
  18. Surprised to hear.Always looked busy,even recently
  19. Creeping Scouseism.
  20. Weve been going over to the western isles every year, for years, for the fishing and hillwalking.Love it,but, weve also built up a fund to go somewhere different every 5 years to break it up a bit Went to Norway, which was fine, but nae desperate to go back,Canada is an option but a bit far.Someone suggested Iceland.Fishing looks great, but dont know much about the place, and looking for other things to do while there.Anyone been and thought it was worht a visit? Any recommendations for Outdoorsy things to do,stuff to see?
  21. More of the pressing and urgency we showed against Hearts, and had in Deeks first full season, has been half the problem
  22. Stevie Ray Vaughan - Pride and Joy
  23. Its painful remembering how bad some of our keepers(and outfield players) have been,ie Bossu,Howard(remember him?),Soutar,Collin etc. What a cracking scouting network weve had over the years ,though to be fair, think we managed to help bring the worst out of them,we were in such a bad place at times. How we got Lewis,on the other hand..... Happier days. COYR ps Bossu, was that a 4 nil defeat at Killie or something? Was it all down to his shityness?
  24. Led Zep - Whole lotta love

    Films

Flight was brilliant.Always like a Tom Hanks film so look forward to that one. Watched a random film called Plain Truth, about an Amish girl getting pregnant and the following rigmarole.Just looking at Amish people makes me depressed, but it was a decent watch with an unexpected ending
