  1. Certainly get it in Sainsbury's. ( Other supermarkets are available) Edit....I now buy Sainsburys own brand "Whippy".....30p as opposed to 50p and no distinguishable difference. Home economics advice for the masses.....
  2. Still prefer Angel Delight (butterscotch) tbh...
  3. Perhaps even an Aberdeen resident
  4. Aye but there's a big difference between Anderson and Wright.....chiefly he is nearly 3 years younger and still has time to develop that Wright really doesn't have any more. He is at a decent level getting a game every week.....had he went to a bottom end Premier club he may not have been risked as the season progresses and relegation fears increased. If he kicks on, he's the natural replacement for May long term. No concerns that the clubisn't handling his career correctly at present, in contrast to Wright's career who was allowed to stagnate in our U20s/ reserves far too long.
  5. Absolute cunt of a man. I can understand guys like Dougie Bell, Stephen Wright and even the Rat signing for oldco/sevco directly from us as they all grew up as supporters of the Hun clubs but Robertson grew up a Dandy and knew exactly what signing for them would do to his reputation. It's not as if he didn't have other clubs after him either.....Leeds wanted him and had he chosen to go down south he would have left with our best wishes ( and would likely have had the option to return to us for 2 or 3 years at the back end of his career should he have wanted to). Signing for oldco meant he could never return. I remember being at Dens Park the season before he left and heard a conversation between a couple of our fans, one of whom seemed to know him and his family. Rumours of oldco interest were gathering pace....this boy assured the other that there was not a cats chance in hell that he would ever sign for them. He obviously didn't know him that well...
  6. 6'4" so will have the turning circle of a cross Channel ferry. Not really convinced he has been signed as a straight Logan replacement.....I've got a hunch we will see a change in tactics from now till season's end where we go with a back 3 and utilise any 2 from Lowe, McGinn, GMS and McLennan as wing backs so he's more cover for McKenna Devlin or Consi. If I'm wrong then God help us on Sunday should he get put in at right back. Kent will tie him in knots.
  7. Run in with the boss this morning??
  8. Our greatest ever manager was thrown out of St Mirren for being a dick......and he continued being a dick for the next 36 or so years I could easily live with a dick as manager of he brought in a trophy or 2 along the way. I'd put Hibs' relative success against the OF but inconsistency against lower clubs down to them having a reasonably talented squad who on a good day are very good....and the Old Firm, Celtic especially, tend to rest a few players against them. On a bad day they're bang average, occasionally embarrassingly bad. Any chance of him replacing DM has sailed now. He will have a job at the Dhims long as he likes as long as the League championships keep rolling in....won't even be expected to continue winning Cups although they'll still win probably 2 out of every 3. He will only leave if an English club comes calling....which no doubt one will eventually. Probably not an EPL level one but a Birmingham or similar who will still outpay what Celtic will ( he will get nowhere near the contract that Brenda was on....the Old biscuit tin now has hinges and diamantes glued to the lid but a biscuit tin it remains).
  9. Perhaps I do. Here is what I envisage though. He is already behind McGinn for a starting place. If we sign Stewart permanently, he becomes at best 3rd choice for a starting role. So will be allowed to leave. If we don't sign Stewart, he has a chance to usurp a slowing, ageing McGinn but will have 6 months to do so otherwise we will sign somebody who will again push him down the pecking order ( and probably out the door).
  10. It certainly wasn't a brilliant start to a series but hopefully like KMKY it will grow into a brilliant finale...." Knowing me Alan Partridge, knowing you, the police....Aha. I'll be talking to you shortly" What I am really looking forward to is the new BBC Scotland channel showing a rerun of Tutti Frutti starting Saturday night. On its first run in 86/87 (forget which) I was a student nurse and missed a couple of episodes due to working shifts.....no video recorder on student nurse's wages. Had a massive thing for Miss Toner ( Katy Murphy). Saw a pic of her last week in an article about the return...would never have known it was the same woman.
  11. I honestly thought that Celtic would insist on him seeing the season out and let him leave in the summer with Leicester in no real danger of the drop, putting in a caretaker till then. Obviously he will at least double his wages down there, possibly even treble and have a transfer budget he could only dream about compared to up here. He will back his ability to do what Ranieri did but let's face it, that was a freak end result where the football gods all aligned in a once-in-a-generation happening. Mid table mediocrity is all they can expect, however long he signs his contract for, unless he lands them a Cup during his tenure I doubt he will receive a contract extension and if he cocks up his transfer business could even be out the door as soon as next summer. Popcorn teeth was the obvious replacement and although he could never be described as an intellectual, he will certainly have enough in his locker to keep 10IAR on track. However this has presented a great opportunity for Hibs to turn them over in the Cup at the weekend whilst the upheaval is still settling down.
  12. Unfortunately for him, he can no longer be viewed as an up and coming player. So to justify a run of games, he has to perform well above average in every one to keep him ahead of the more established player (s) he is replacing. He did well in the league cup against St Mirren but picked up a niggle that ruled him out a couple of weeks. Nevertheless he still got game time once he was fit again. And looked utterly underwhelming. There is talk ( obviously unsubstantiated) that DM wanted him to go out on loan at the start of the season as we could not guarantee him playing time without a substantial injury/suspension list and that the player himself had turned this down. Whatever the circumstances, he has now taken the option and looks to have started well. But he's now a bigger fish in a smaller pond....and against Hivs who could never be described as a defensive minded side it wouldn't be too hard to look good, even in a losing side ( personally I thought that he did nothing of note other than the. 2 assists and should have been red carded late on.....wouldn't surprise me to see retrospective action still being taken). As a local loon I think people are desperate for him to do well. He will return to us in summer all the better for his loan, but he has to kick on immediately and cement a regular starting slot....he will be 22 by then....or else I can see him being allowed to leave for a smallish fee, possibly even free, next January. Will he make it with us? My instincts say no sadly, but I'd love him to prove me wrong
  13. Brenda bookies favourite to take over. I think Celtic would insist on him seeing the season out but can envisage being allowed to join them in the summer.
  14. Just home was a late, unexpected in for it made all the sweeter by sitting next to my St Johnstone supporting son. Shaky first 10 minutes but after we took the lead against the run of play, our confidence just seemed to grow and grow. Second half was a pleasure to watch, utterly dominant with swift, pleasing on the eye attacks. Only surprise is that it wasn't a bigger victory.....not sure how McLennan managed to miss art 1-0, Cosgrove also blew a sitter and their keeper had a fantastic save from McGinn right at the end. Shinnie obviously m.o.m. not only for his goals but back to his best driving the team forward. Ball was immense as well, with McLennan, Considine and Ferguson very good.....but tbh not a single failure today. Results elsewhere went for us too....second week running that's happened. Let's hope Hamilton do us a turn tomorrow, including their plastic pitch crippling a couple of sevconians in the process.
  15. Confirmed huns only getting the usual away section for the Quarter Final. They're going Tonto over on Sevco media Some in denial have seen our decision not to open the RDU unless sufficient demand as being an indication once they've sold out their initial allocation that they'll then get that ana. Aye right they're really going to get the chance to lob crisp pokes and drinks containers full of their pish down on us like they always did in the Broomloan. Fucking mutants each and every one
  16. 2 year extension signed
  17. Not a biscuit either.....kiddies chocolate bar. And the resemblance is uncanny
  18. Didn't think there were any powers that be left on abmad.....last I looked it was a free for all
  19. Was definitely Kamara and there is a video now circulating from a completely different angle which shows there was indubitably contact with his face. However it wasn't Bachmanns elbow it was his upper arm, looks intentional but Kamara drops like he's been shot and in no way was the contact violent enough to cause that. Yellow card and no more for me. In view of the decisions regarding Morelos and McGregor earlier in the season where it was said that there has to be intent to injure or whatever weasel words used to get them out of jail, this red card has to be overturned.
  20. There is a school of thought that DM doesn't develop youth very well. The numbers of youngsters breaking through into first team regulars would tend to back this theory up. However we have seen McKenna not just become a first team regular, but also a Scotland regular (and has captained them to boot). Ferguson was bought as "one for the future" but has astonished everyone by being a first team regular right from the off and has increased the cash investment at least tenfold already. Scott Wright got reasonable game time, didn't really shine but is now getting a regular game for Dundee which should show by summer if he is the real deal or if he's just a bit below what we need. Should've happened a year ago but better late than never. McLennan would have been vying with him for a place so with Wright away he should get extra first team experience that possibly would have been shared with Scotty. Hopefully will kick on and be the natural replacement for GMS. Anderson was unlucky to get as few minutes as he did but DM had to play his £400k striker and the marquee loan signing initially. Didn't look out of place and had Cosgrove not suddenly developed 8nto a goal machine at the back end of last year, I suspect it might have been Cosgrove who got punted out on loan and Anderson retained but again the first team minutes he will gain will stand him in good stead going forward. Campbell I think has the biggest future of them all but is obviously still very young. A regular bench place and getting 15- 20 minutes here and there is fine for now. Once Shinnie leaves, we should see him getting some starts next season with a view to having him as a first pick by season 20/21, although if he does well he could be a regular by this time next year. So DM has certainly given youth it's chance this season. Previous seasons I just don't think the youth options were either good enough or just not developed physically and/or mentally to cope with first team football.
  21. Yep that and the stonewall penalty Killie were denied in the second minute. SFA determined to do all they can to land sevco their first ever major trophy
  22. The bigots are not the MP's per se......although the lack of forceful condemnation of the anti-semitism makes them complicit...but lies within the so called "activists" ( loudmouthed cunts with an agenda). In a similar way the Tories are infected with racists in their grassroot membership. This new centrist group are doomed to failure though. 3 Tories have joined today but as Rico rightly says.....to solve a problem you have to take a line be it left or right wing as a policy. Trying to please both sides will never work. The SDP in 81 had far bigger political names when it set up yet still was an irrelevance when the 83 election took place and was forced to eventually seek an alliance with the Liberals.
  23. I doubt he's on pay per play but player insurance will kick in and cover payments after a certain amount of time out. Sadly I concur that this will probably be a career ender
  24. I have no problem with writing a youngster off fairly early either. When Rodgers went to Smurn at the start of the season to get games but found he couldn't displace an ageing journeyman keeper who has since retired to become a goalkeeping coach....kinda said it all really. He will never be our number 1 and in all likelihood won't get any further contract extensions. I've never really rated Wright. An opinion that many find annoying but I'm not going to change it. I think because he is a local loon than folk are desperate for him to do well. The hat trick against Thistle early in his career perhaps gave them hope that he might be the next big thing. However my, nor their opinions count for anything. Only ones who count for anything are DM, Doc and the coaching staff. Any complaints that he has had very little playing time may be relevant but the question has to be asked.....what has he done in training/ reserve matches to warrant an extended run of games? If he had been shining brightly I don't think our squad is either big enough or talented enough to ignore anyone. May and Ball especially get a hard time of it from the fans whenever they get selected.....both are limited in ability but are hard workers if nothing else. I have to conclude that the management team cannot be greatly impressed by that of Wright given the very limited time he has accrued in first team action over the past 3 seasons. Injuries and suspensions conspired to get him into the side early-ish this season. Looked sensational in the St Mirren LC game but unfortunately picked up a niggle that kept him out a couple of weeks. Still got game time on his recovery but just looked ordinary at best and in a couple of games rank fucking rotten. I think if he is to have a future in the game it will be as a number 10. McGinns return last season should have heralded a loan move immediately as it was obvious his game time would be severely impacted by the signing of such a senior pro. Going to Dundee a year later will do him the world of good as there he will be seen as an automatic first choice. Seems to have started well and I hope he keeps it up, he will return to us in the summer with 2 years left on his contract and hopefully with something to prove. But as I've said....I just have the feeling he isn't quite of the standard required for our club and wouldn't surprise me at all to find him this time next year allowed to leave for a relatively small fee to a Championship side or perhaps a promoted club where I think his level really lies.
