  1. I thought he died last year. Then read online (daily record) that he had died on Friday. They've removed the story now it's he managed to cheat the taxman by marrying his wife 2 days before he died. Should've checked my hunch....anyway he's definitely dead
  2. Read every word btw. Not offended in the slightest. Just bored the tits aff me.
  3. Have I raised your blood pressure old man? Job done!
  4. Ken Dodd......tattiefalarious. Hoping the Diddy Men form a guard of honour at his funeral
  5. I neither like picters nor do I like religion particularly. I have been to the Vatican though ( despite nominally being protestant.....family are half protestant half Catholic) and found it a pretty awesome place. Also agree there are some questions that just cannot be answered..... However I also never realised that Alex Salmond was a world class artist, nor that he was in the running to be next Pope. Back on topic please fellow dandies......
  6. Actually thought Ferguson was the best of our midfielders yesterday ( till McGinn's entrance obviously). But absolutely concur that DM has overplayed him, as said by KFP it was blatantly obvious in December that his form had dipped and was in desperate need of a break but he was left in until suspension kicked in. Shinnie was poor by his own standards yesterday, loads of misplaced passes and mix ups with team mates. GMS well off the pace too. However in the draw tonight which I guess is all that matters. We've had it easy so far so fully expect a harder draw this time. Celtic away would probably be the corrupt SFA's tie of choice given their quest to land sevco their very first senior trophy but they'd probably accept us getting Hearts at Tynecastle, sevco/Killie at home to Partick, Hibs home to Caley/County and Yinited home to the Dhims¹. Hopefully my predictions will have cursed the draw and it's us who end up getting the caravan dwellers
  7. Oh I don't know though....was harder to miss that one
  8. It'd be really interesting to find out Cosgrove's value right now. He's now a dead cert to get 20 plus goals for the season barring a bad injury. I'd be looking for £3million as a starting bid. Who would have thought that not even 4 months ago?
  9. Ever think it just isn't meant to be?
  10. Piss poor first half hour. GMS been god awful, waste of a jersey up till now. Stewart started well but anonymous past 15. Need a goal to get the crowd behind us
  11. Appeal costs £5k. No point in throwing money down the gurgler......McKenna was guilty as charged and at least our club has the class to accept the deserved punishment without resorting to petty and futile appeals.
  12. You cannot progress without getting a (positive) result Surely you mean the performance doesn't matter as long as we progress ( I disagree here, Stenhousemuir at home was embarrassing and although QOS are a far better side we really have to show the gulf in class) Logan needs dropped after his sevco performance if nothing else to deliver a hefty boot up his arse. If Devlin is fit I'd go with a back 3 of him, Consi and Hoban. I'd also like to see Gleeson get a at in this one, ideal opportunity to see if he really does now have the stamina to last a full 90.....I'd be resting Ferguson whose leg is apparently a bit of a mess of bruising after the McGregor challenge. Also restore the May/Cosgrove partnership. It works... 3-0 Cosgrove, May, McGinn
  13. And they're appealing it.....will be heard on Tuesday leaving the thug free to play the cup tie v Killie EDIT.....was talking about the McGregor ban
  14. Appeal is at 6pm tomorrow evening. I have every expectation that he will walk out having had yet another red card rescinded. The SFA have given up all pretence of being neutral, they are desperate for sevco to start winning trophies by hook or by crook. They probably realise that the sevco financial model is predicated on doing so.....including stopping 10IAR....and know that failure will result in sevco going down the gurgler in the same manner of the dead club. Hence every assistance will be given to ensure this scenario does not occur
  15. ^^^^ this As has been said there also needs to be a punishment for appealing and losing.....I think. 2 extra matches on top of whatever ban is already due should discourage any frivolous attempts that sevco and Celtic in particular seem to do.
  16. As an aside....having seen the McGregor challenge on Ferguson.....that was a leg breaker and should have resulted in a red card and penalty. If the compliance burd doesn't call this one in for a retrospective ban then we will know for sure that games a bogey and the SFA are in sevcos pocket.
  17. I honestly thought Stewart was pretty poor, always slowed things down when sevco in the words of Cpl Jones " do not like it up 'em" Shinnie very good drove us forward, Ferguson, Hoban and Cosgrove good everyone else poor. Can't afford to give sevco a 2 goal lead and expect to get anything out the game. Not giving up on second place quite yet.....sevco really ain't very good and always seem to have an unexpected loss in them every 6 weeks or so.
  18. Got what we deserved allowing players to run at us from midfield and backing off. Logan has been a liability and McKenna barely looks a £700k player far less a £7million one. Stewart's corners have been atrocious. Long way back, get Logan off throw Wilson on and start running at their defence.
  19. He will be on a decent wedge at Watford....not a fortune but certainly a good bit more than we would offer. Championship clubs could easily match it and I'd imagine that's where his preference would lie but will be have that option given his horrendous injury record? Once McKenna and Devlin are fit I can see DM mainly going to a back 3 given that it worked so well against Hibs. There would obviously be a casualty from the regular back line in doing that.....Logan would be the obvious candidate, his form has been sketchy for well over a year now. If Hoban signed permanent it could be the end for Shay as a regular in the first team.
  20. Definitely correct about the cards getting wiped. Need 6 bookings to trigger a suspension in the half season period. Any previous bookings get wiped out after the last game prior to winter break. Shinnie especially will benefit from this system
  21. Even if Cosgrove is fit....I suspect with a back injury he won't be....I think he will sit this one out. Sevco big defenders wouldn't mind a big but fairly slow target man, what they won't like are 2 smallish but rapid attackers harassing the fuck out of them and pulling them all over the final third of the pitch. So I reckon it'll be. May and Wilson starting, McGinn replacing one of them later on in the game to keep up the high press. Obviously the concern for us is can our central defenders cope with sevco punting longish balls over their heads and having the likes of Kent, Candy Ass and El Buffoonalo getting in behind. They could sit a bit deeper but that rules out the offside trap and encourages them to attack us on the wings instead. Tbh, shorn of McKenna and Devlin I don't think a draw would be the worst result in the circumstances but hoping we can sneak a win and spend an hour late on Wednesday night with a glass or 2 of Argentinian red watching the utter meltdown that will ensue on Sevco Meedja/ Swallow swallow
  22. If a player suffers concussion that is confirmed medically they are automatically ruled out for a minimum of 1 week.....effectively 2 weeks as for instance, if the injury happened on a Saturday, the following Saturday is included in the non playing time. Pretty certain DM has confirmed there was no concussion just a bad cut and he was taken off as it was going to take quite a while to stitch. Will be between the sticks Wed night
  23. Honey Monster puts Celtic 1 up at McDiarmid. Thought St J were going to hang on for the draw
  24. Absolutely the most incompetent ref out there.....and he has plenty of competition for that title so well done Andrew Dallas. Only where he is because he is the son of Snuggle Dallas. Needs punted down to the juniors.
  25. Don't think we will see either of Devlin or McKenna until mid February at the earliest. Devlin especially is a puzzler....club keep saying he's 10-14 days away from returning and this keeps getting extended. Facing Hivs and sevco with Consi and Hoban (if he stays fit!) Is hardly ideal but it is what it is so we just have to get on with it. Punting Forrester, Tansey and loaning out Reynolds should save the club around £8k per week in wages so makes sense as none of them would have featured except in the forest of emergencies. Wright and Anderson will get regular game time at decent levels. With Ball and Gleeson ahead of him in the pecking order, I've liked to seen Campbell also head out to a Championship club to get a regular game as I think of the 3 mentioned, he has the biggest future ahead of him....could even be a regular pick for us by this time next year. Disappointed the Barker rumour came to nothing. GMS has been underwhelming at best since retiring from injury and you have to wonder how big his committment will be going forward given that he will be offski in summer.
