So who do we think will be next up. I am more sure of who I don’t want rather than who I do want. I am not keen on any of current SPFL managers for starters. Goodwin has shown some potential but not for a sustained period yet. Think it’s to early for him. Martindale falls into the same category. Agree with what someone said about Duncan Ferguson in another thread that it’s a big step up from assistant. Really hope we are not going to get lumbered with someone from the Atalanta set up to help them develop for Atlanta’s benefit.

If there's any truth to that whatsoever - and given where it's been published that certainly isn't guaranteed - then you'd think an announcement would have to be happening reasonably soon.

 

I'd quite like an American manager. Their successful sports people have a very positive attitude and if we're going down the Atlanta tie-in route then why not go the whole hog?

I'd be happy with Goodwin, like the cut of his jib.  Won't happen though.  I will be quite surprised if cormack isn't planning to go the dof, head coach route.  Whoever does take charge is probably going to be a bit of a left field appointment
