Season 2019/2020 Rebuilding

Can't quite believe we're almost at the end of the Season, have to say, It has flew in, I know there is still a good few weeks left, but the Manager will be thinking about next season for sure.

The likelihood is that GMS & Shinnie will be off, they'd surely have agreed an extension by now if they weren't? McKenna may have more interest and may leave, Stewart will go, Lowe will go, Gleeson ( Still not had a fair crack of the whip in my opinion ) will more than likely go also, Forrester already off the books, Hoban sadly injured, Reynolds off to Dundee United ( All the best ) James Wilson (  ??? )  we will be rather light yet again.

We're a good amount of players down. What are the key positions that we need to address? Will we finally expand our scouting network?

This is arguably the most difficult task, in terms of recruitment, that McInnes will face.

Providing McGeouch is fit, then this could be a great signing.  A lot of fans have been moaning about us not signing him before, so it'll be interesting to see how this works out.  Can't say DM hasn't listened.

Will see what McGeouch brings to the table,..dont know much about Dunne.Hope the lad Kennedy comes back on radar.Stood out at McDermid, the only exciting player on the park.

According to Sunderland Echo McGeouch is currently injured.

Mcgeoch is a decent b2b midfielder but I don't really think hes adding anything new.  Would rather see us sign someone with some guile.

McGeough confirmed

2 1/2 year deal.

Ooft, not a loan. Fingers crossed he stays fit, welcome aboard!

Also hearing :o a Leeds based journalist saying that Leeds & afc have agreed a fee for Scott McKenna.

Cant believe the fee though :o

what journa where is link ?  On Mcgeouch , ferguson can be creative influence but then assumed bryson would do that

Seen it, but slightly sceptical about that as he doesn't state who he writes for. We'll see though.  Anything over 4m and we should deal.

it was a sports journalist for a Leeds paper, it was on twitter, lets see if i can find it, he was adamant a deal has been agreed.

Not sure how I feel about McGeouch. Definitely wanted him for a good couple of transfer windows but it’s so clear we need a creative Maddison/Christie spark. That is not him. But considering we’ve had Vyner and Leigh in center mid a few times it’s certainly an upgrade, but if McG, Ojo, Bryson and Ferguson are fit I feel that’s a too similar group. Still, given it’s another player with an injury affected couple of years I’ll be stunned if we have all players fit at once.

Welcome aboard! Is he currently injured??

Ayrshire Hun

It was a James Ruddeford on twitter, check it out smart arse

38 followers and joined twitter this year.    I'm taking that one with a pinch of salt

a guy who has 38 followers and changed his profile pic... 10-15m correct ? moron

I just hope mcgeouch adds some quality to a shyte midfield. Yes we need a more creative player, but we need another solid midfielder to protect our defence and it may even free up Ferguson to move furthet forward as I think he is suited to a more attacking role.

Certainly taking the reported fee with a pinch of salt, but i know Leeds are defo interested, so could be gen.

You know ? How do you was it the fake twitter accounts  that he quoted also... like John Chappel  (mainstream journalist for Scottish clubs 54 followers..) assume you either have a room temperature iq or are maybe 14 , 15 ?

AD you are a complete fud.

Replying with that proves the point, your provenance was a fake twitter account which has been endorsed by other fake twitter accounts (curiously from Aberdeen) ... so explain , factually your position ?

So he got caught out by some fud with a fake acct, nae that big a deal....

Carson definitely a no go. Signed a new 2 year deal with Motherwell

Welcome aboard McGeouch. Not particularly excited about the deal but going to be pragmatic about it...he's definitely an upgrade on playing Vyner/Leigh in midfield

Lads, keep the sniping out of this thread please.

Not really sure where he'll play. Will he play in front of ojo and fergie? As our number 10? Will fergie push forward? will we try to play the free flowing 4-1-4-1 that he promised at the start of the season with both in front of ojo?

I like pace in the team and these variations all lack it for me.

Would like to see us set-up similar to Hibs when he was there - the midfield three of McGeouch, McGinn and Allan on their day was fantastic.

Can we replicate that with McGeouch, Ferguson and Ojo/Bryson? Probably not, but be interesting to see who plays when all four are fit (plus Campbell too). It's nice to have some midfield options.

Hopefully some defenders in the door next.
