Anyone remember Edinburgh band,Blues n Trouble at the Venue back in the day? "The best white Blues band around" according to BB King

Saw them a good few times Ed

  The original singer Tim Elliott was still fronting them until very recently.Thought his lifestyle(allegedly) might have caught up with him before now,but fair play.....

Don't know that band at all ED, but have to say that was a thoroughly enjoyable track.

Away to find a bit more of their stuff if its out there.

Total change of genre, but keep coming back to this band and this album in particular.

Absolutely sublime and fucking love it

Wasnt aware of that B 'n T album, but 3 belters right at the start  8)

On a related note,I remember liking a type of music on the radio that I hadnt heard before, and wondering what the heck you called the style of music(the boy never gave out the name at the end).Bugged me for a while til I saw a flier for a Blues n Trouble gig in town.Hadnt heard of them before but the word 'Blues' rang a bell. Popped along to the Venue(1987) for a swatch, and it turned out the blues was the genre I was unfamiliar with.Still one of the best gigs Ive been to.

Got the vinyl out and playing it loud.

Back in '74/75 listening to the gravel vocals of Dan McCafferty.

Incredible to think that they have now been on the go for FIFTY years and Pete Agnew an orginal member is still there

Not much work getting done today.

another of my favourites there Al. Always thought Dan McCafferty would have been a better replacement for Bon Scott than Brian Johnson?

Anyway

Wow, just fucking Wow.

Haven't heard that for forty years

Thanks MBT

Utterly outstanding Gents.    I almost forgot Nazareth existed.

I had never heard that version of Vigilante Man. I really like the Ry Cooder one but this is better.

On a more current note and changing the vibe completely, I heard this on Radio 6 this morning and really like: -

I have actually played that onstage live?

Ok It took 2 of us to do the guitar part, I did the slide and another guy did the rest, but we were fucking awesome

Nice...and not just talking about their voices ;)

Somewhere featuring Sharon den Adel from Within Temptation and the Gathering's Anneke van Giersbergen with The Metropole Orchestra and the Pa'dam Choir live at the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam.

Possibly one for Tyrant. Found this lot earlier last year. Awesome sound.

Very relaxing music to work with in the background

Some cheasy listening,...and easy watching at times    ;)

New Horrors album. Excellent.

Finally got round to getting this, very good on first listen. Certainly better than the last effort.  Last few songs on the album are superb.

Been liking the new Ty Segall tune. Those who listen regular to the Marc Riley show will be familiar with his work

Very much enjoying this guy.

Cracking version that, heard it a few times on 6music.

Can't get enough of the new album from Django Django, Surface To Air is a fantastic tune.

Good to see you’re still alive!

Agreed on both points. Great album & song.
