Davidson might turn down Rangers for Aberdeen FC

Derek McInnes could move to land Murray on pre-contract deal

ST JOHNSTONE midfielder Murray Davidson today hinted he could snub Rangers for Aberdeen FC if he decides to stay in Scotland.

 

Saints fear new Aberdeen FC boss Derek McInnes could launch a summer swoop for their star midfielder.

 

Davidson, who is out of contract in the summer, has informed St Johnstone he will move on.

 

It is understood McInnes wants to make the 24-year-old his first signing and could move to land him on a pre-contract deal before the season ends.

 

Rangers are also interested, but Davidson hinted he will not drop down the leagues to sign for the troubled Ibrox club.

Wouldn't be adverse to us making a move for him, but some how doubt it'll happen.

Heard his interview on STV last night and sounded ot me as if he was Chumpionship bound at end of the season.

don't know how big an attraction to work with McInnes would be though

Like Al, I'll take this with a big pinch of salt but it has to be said, the boy is a cracking player and I'd be delighted to have him at AFC - sign him up on a long contract with a £1m release clause and I'll be happy.

would be delighted with this signing, but I can't see it happening. There is no doubting he is destined for bigger things. Fingers crossed he'd like to develop his career under the guidance of McInnes though

Good bit of pr to talk the club up to potential new signings if nothing else. Would be a superb signing undoubtedly.

Signed on for another year at Saints, couldn't get a club in England, surprisingly.

Good player. Doing well at saints who are still in Europe. Canna blame da boy. Might go in January but at least will make money for his team. Hope other players take note. Hate letting good players leave fir nothing.
