Can't remember if there was a specific film thread so here goes.

 

Anyone been/going to the cinema to see anything in particular?

 

I've been to see Inception and Toy Story 3 recently. Both were fantastic. Saw Toy Story in 3D but I'm not overly sure that it was necessary, but that doesn't detract from the fact that it was a great film. Fitting way to end the trilogy

Watched The Kingsman today and was pleasantly surprised, good film!

 

Watched Big Hero 6 and Chef yesterday.  Both decent Sunday films.  The latter more so and great soundtrack to it 

Pitch perfect 2 was decent

 

Force Majeure was rubbish

 

Going to catch Far from the Madding Crowd this week or next

 

Saw a trailer for Magic Mike 2 - the first one was one of the worst films I have ever seen -  but I may just be tempted to head along if I can have a drink at the same time hehe

Saw San Andreas last night. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Although I'm not sure how much of that was learning about the score from Ibrox. :>

Saw Jurassic World on Sunday. Enjoyed it, obviously there were glaring inconsistencies throughout the film but it was all light hearted and some good killing scenes!  Worth a watch and a laugh.

Spy is worth watching just for Jason Statham's arguments with Melissa mccarthy

Really enjoyed the book, looking forward to the film!

I saw Ewen McGregor at the Edinburgh Film Festival - went to see his film about Jesus - it was absolute gash - he looked cute tho much smaller than I imagined

 

He spent ages on the red carpet getting photos taking - have you noticed that no-one talks to celebrities anymore - all folk want is to look at them through their phone screen

Brilliant actor and probably doesn't get the plaudits he should.

Watched Southpaw the other day, epic film.

Thought 'Inside out' was great. Always concerned that each pixar will be as irritating as Finding Nemo but this one was  up there with the likes of Toy Story

 

Thought Mission Impossible -Rogue nation dragged a bit. Seems a lot of people slated the previous one but i thought it was much better.

 

Either the Maze Runner: Scorch Trials or 'Legend' this weekend. See if Tom Hardy can out act Spandau ballet

Inside Out is tremendous. Definitely better than Finding Nemo but Finding Nemo is excellent too IMO my opinion.

Went to see The Martian last night. Not a bad film. Tries a bit too hard in places to be funny and went down the route of a retro soundtrack like Avengers which didn't work IMO opinion but still well worth watching.

Watched two movies this weekend, both worth a watch:

 

Black Mass - Johnny Depp's latest film and a return to form imo.  Brilliantly dark film about the Irish mob / FBI in Bawston.

 

Dope - Black american comedy about "molly" / MDMA.  Hilarious

I grew out of Bond films when I was 13. Never been to the cinema to see one since. Haven't seen any of the last however many going back decades. Of course it was crap. How can it not be? Fantasy incredible bullshit for retard people.

 

Waltz is an amazing actor and having been undiscovered his whole life until Quentin put him on the map, rightly wheeled out the wheelbarrow to furnish his pension to do this shit.

 

QT does that a lot, discover great talents that have been kicking around a while or re-launch a career or two, the space cadet scientologist Travolta getting a nice payday with Pulp Fiction.
