Can't remember if there was a specific film thread so here goes.

Anyone been/going to the cinema to see anything in particular?

I've been to see Inception and Toy Story 3 recently. Both were fantastic. Saw Toy Story in 3D but I'm not overly sure that it was necessary, but that doesn't detract from the fact that it was a great film. Fitting way to end the trilogy

Sadly this future started quite a while ago. I miss the days of watching things on set days, then chatting about them at work, and looking forward to 'next week'. What an old man thing to say.

  • No one watch films anymore 🤔 Ten months and no posts 😲 Watched "I Swear" last night. A true story of tourettes sufferer John Davidson from Galashiels. Starting with him going to seconda

Saw Argo tonight at the cinema, it was very good indeed!

I am planning to go and see Argo on my next jaunt to the cinema!

Been on nightshift so this week, I have mostly been watching -

The Dark Knight Rises - Enjoyed it. Really good film.

American Pie: The Reunion - only stuck it on for a few laughs and I wanted something easy to watch at 3:30am. Did the job.

Ali - Really good film I thought. Really good performance from Will Smith and focused on Ali, not only as a boxer but as a husband and a religious man. Would recommend.

Terminator - Terminator 2 has to be one of my favourite films but I'd never seen Terminator. I enjoyed it and thought it was a cracking film! The ending where the Terminator has gotten rid of his Schwarznegger covering really shows it's age now but I can imagine it would have been brilliant in 1984!

Will Smith is an amazing actor. True story.

Can't wait to see Flight. Looks brilliant IMO. Denzel FTW

Saw Mel Gibson's "How I Spent My Summer Vacation" and was pleasantly surprised.  It's a dark thriller set in a mad Mexican prison, with some humour thrown in now and again.  Mad Mel is on very good form.

Does look good. Some similarities with the film Freefall too.

Watched End of Watch last night. Worth watching. Decent.

The Angel's Share, pretty good!

Nightshift again so watched Argo (thought it was alright) and Looper (again, alright. Enjoyed it more than what I thought I would).

I was really impressed with Argo, but I was genuinely disappointed by looper. Thought it would be much better than it was, was a bit angry of wasted money seeing it.

Any cunt seen the Hobbit yet?

I'm meant to go see it at the weekend, but everyone i've spoke to says it's pish.

I haven't seen it. But I've actually not heard a bad word said about it. Admittedly they're all fucking Lord of the Rings nerd geeks knobs.

Will definitely go and see it as I thought the LOTR trilogy was a masterpiece but I'm concerned that the Hobbit story is being dragged out (3 films FFS) and the first film is nearly 3 hours!

Planning on seeing it, but I thought turning The Hobbit into two films was stretching it, never mind three.

In saying that, I've only heard good things about it.

What i've heard is basically that LoRT fans enjoy the casual references to the LoRT films, but they've stretched the story longer than it needs to be.

Also meant to ask, any cunt watched it at "High Frame Rate" or whatever the fuck it's called?

Worth the extra cash? or not any different?

Saw The Hobbit last night, I enjoyed it.  It took a while to get going but there's some great scenes, particularly one between Gollum and Bilbo.  The 2 hours 50 minutes passed quite quickly which is good.

For any LOTR geeks, there seems to be a continuity problem as when we are told during the LOTR trilogy of how Bilbo originally acquired the one ring, that seems to have changed somewhat in the Hobbit!

Fially catching up to some of the stuff on the DVR now, better than all this "happy holidays" shite.

Last watch was cowboys and Aliens, actually quite enjoyed it.

I saw The Hobbit a couple of weeks ago in Aberdeen and it was fab tho admittedly I did read the book when I was 7 so could be classed as a Hobbit/LOTR/Harry Potter nerdy geek  ;D

Argo tonight was superb, was so tense throughout the whole film

Enjoyed The Imposter, quite an amazing true story with a bit of a twist.  I'd recommend it!

Just watched Jack reacher, decent enough silly action movie

I dont care what anyone thinks. I am looking forward to this

Gan to see Gangster Squad tonight. Looking forward to it!

I highly recommend Gangster Squad to anyone. Thought it was a brilliant film!
