Can't remember if there was a specific film thread so here goes.

Anyone been/going to the cinema to see anything in particular?

I've been to see Inception and Toy Story 3 recently. Both were fantastic. Saw Toy Story in 3D but I'm not overly sure that it was necessary, but that doesn't detract from the fact that it was a great film. Fitting way to end the trilogy

Sadly this future started quite a while ago. I miss the days of watching things on set days, then chatting about them at work, and looking forward to 'next week'. What an old man thing to say.

  • No one watch films anymore 🤔 Ten months and no posts 😲 Watched "I Swear" last night. A true story of tourettes sufferer John Davidson from Galashiels. Starting with him going to seconda

She's great but I wasn't too impressed with the film, seemed a bit too similar to the first one and the ending was a bit quick!

So was Manc-Don's when Jennifer Lawrence came on screen

Certainly is. Kate Dickie is her name.

She was in a film called Red Road a few years back. Was rather good.

Just watched Senna.

Really. really good and brought back a lot of memories!

I watched Disney's Frozen at the weekend. I enjoyed it. The man might have been a paedo and hated the yids but his company makes good films and theme parks.

I'm taking my pal's kids to this - the wee one is only 3 so I hope he sits through it - I'll just buy him loads of popcorn and a pick n mix  ;D

Do everyone else a favour and leave the kid at home. I realise it's a kids' film but if your kids can't behave don't take them out in public where they're likely to ruin the film for others.

There was one brat that spoke and cried through the whole film and the parents were quite happy to let the little fucker yammer on and on and the mother even kept moving between seats (one of them much closer to me) with the kid for some fucking reason. Got on my tits. They don't appreciate or understand what they're watching anyway.

Fuck me! You're a grumpy cunt , Tyrant.  ;D

Oh my god isn't he just!!

I never said he wasn't going to behave, just that it is hard to sit all the way through a film when you're only 3

Were you there at a kids film without a kid Tyrant? That's a bit worrying  ;D

I'm sure he left with a kid... not so sure he turned up with one though  ;)

If they can keep quiet then fine, you may take the kids along but it does get on my tits when parents are quite happy to let their kids ruin the film for everyone else just because they're kids.

And aye I watch all sorts of movies. Like I said.. the kids don't appreciate or understand them anyway.

Pretty much the norm nowadays unfortunately.

I saw Cinema Paradiso tonight and what a lovely little film it was and not a child in sight  ;)

Anyone seen the remake of OldBoy yet?

Its fucking tripe. Sharlto Copey may very well be the worst actor I have ever witnessed. If you're thinking about it, don't bother, just watch the original again and remind yourself what a cinematic masterpiece looks like.  If the rest of The Vengeance Trilogy gets tarnished like this I will fucking explode.  :hammer:

That is one film I really don't want to see the remake of.  The original was so good, why ruin good memories!

Don't understand anyone lining the pockets of the lazy fucks in Hollywood by going to see remakes.

Was wondering the same thing!

Naked gun is getting remade unfortunately

:o

What's the point?

Naked gun is getting remade unfortunately

You've got to be fucking joking?  Appalling news, will be giving it a wide berth.

I can understand some remakes, especially if there is an effort to go at it from a different angle (the trailer for the new Robocop actually looks unexpectedly promising) but some things should just be left alone. The naked gun falls into this category

Anyone seen Anchorman 2 yet? Going to see it imorn I think.

Because occasionally they're better.
