Goldie03 Posted December 24, 2025 Report Posted December 24, 2025 A bit late to the party but I read Tresspasses recently as saw author st Edinburgh Book Festival a couple of years ago and noticed that it was coming as a series. Wasn't overly enthusiastic about the book but will probs watch on tv at some point - didnt really get the connection between them from the pages. Quote
manc_don Posted Thursday at 01:46 Report Posted Thursday at 01:46 Onto the final episode of stranger things. The wife took the boys off for a nap so managed to knock two off, hopefully get through the finale over the next week Quote

Mason89 Posted Thursday at 22:49 Report Posted Thursday at 22:49 Finished Stranger Things & feels like I started watching it in the 80s I’ve no idea if I enjoyed it or not. It’s great to look at but there’s just so many things wrong with it at the same time Kids in America wearing Fall T-Shirts? Fuck off 1 Quote

Fuck off Willing to suspend your disbelief for the Upside Down, Demogorgons and the Mind Flayer but when it comes the popularity of Manchester bands in Mid West America in the 80s, that's where it falls down? 2 Quote

As does the kids rooms being decorated with movie posters and memorabilia which wouldnt have been available. Cynic in me suspects a mid 20s intern was told to research the 80s and decided Youtube and tiktok were the best sources Quote
BigAl Posted Saturday at 06:53 Report Posted Saturday at 06:53 Binge watched the first The Night Manager series last night Although I watched it when originally released (2016 ?? ), I was surprised just how little of it I remembered. Excellent evening's viewing. Series 2 will have to go some to surpass it. 1 Quote

But might just tread the Wiki synopsis to see if that jogs my memory Quote
