Guest fatshaft
Fuck sakes boys - yes his comments on Fergie just sounded like a bitter wee man - but he's a legend and a great bloke who has the Dons at heart. how many players will you see when they're in their fifties travelling around actually supporting the team? Aberdeen_Ladette
Whatever happened subsequently, Joey was my childhood hero My hun Granda hated him!. Called him a wee, fat bouchle

I'm afraid not FS. The guy is a bellend, legend or not. Comes across as a bitter wee man about many things from his playing days, not just Fergie. I got a photo taken with him in the Europa lounge and he was more than happy to stand and chat to us for about ten minutes. He seemed ok. bilbobaggins
The few times I've met Joey he didn't seem to have any chip on his shoulder. Lovely guy.
KGB
Met him in Munich and he seemed a decent enough guy. Could still be a bitter tosser at other times I suppose.
TENEMENTFUNSTER
Met him and spoke to him in Madrid and he seemed a genuinely decent guy. He was more than happy to have photos taken with anyone who was around. BB is right though, about him coming across a bit bent out of shape about his career, but with most of these memoir/biography things, you'll sell more if you have pops at more illustrious folk than yourself. CtS
He hosts the legends lounge at Pittodrie and is excellent with any kids who are guests. Dons legend - that's good enough for me. Even if his collumn in the EE is laughable at times.
???
He wasn't even slightly perturbed when I met him and the first thing I did was give him a big hug. He was tiny. I almost completely enveloped him. Good job he was shit faced. Sounds like you more than hugged him...

CtS
Magical moment in Madrid as Joe Harper meets closet dons fan Meat Loaf.
Ajja
I creamed him in a particularly mental 10MWTM in Madrid, I almost didn't notice he was there he was so small compared to my giant, masculine frame. Luckily for him, he didn't know where he was he was so utterly rinsed.
Madbadteacher
I always wanted the physique of a professional sportsman....... ....and Joey was my hero in the 70's so I guess I go there Whatever his problems with fergie, that penalty in 70, plus 42 goals in a season legend
