Summer 2026 Transfer Window

Firstly no intention to wind up Rico ( but it is a bonus) by starting this more than forty eight hours ahead of January window closing BUT as a squad we are all over the fucking place and even at this early stage I would imagine we all would have opinions on what need to happen over the summer.

Appreciate that certain things might be addressed in the remaining forty eight odd hours of the winter one BUT given our performance to date, coupled to us being manager less, I wouldn't stake any money on it

Thoughts lads and lassies

If we bought him, he publicly apologised, took out a two page spread in the P&J outlining all the different ways Huns are pricks, then did a penitent walk of shame from Union St to Pittodrie, I’d

Also, it's good that Besuijen's 10 year contract has finally come to an end.

A hero.

My biggest worry - and expectation if I'm honest - is that in October we all say "we haven't replaced Graeme Shinnie".

Have Anthony Stewart captain vibes already.

I don't think you really can replace an influence like shinnie 2bh. Whoever takes the armband can only succeed him.

Fit?

I loved Shinnie and gutted that's him gone.

You can still love him.

From afar

From the club website:

THE FOLLOWING PLAYERS WILL LEAVE FOLLOWING EXPIRY OF THEIR CONTRACTS:

Graeme Shinnie

Ryan Duncan

Vicente Besuijen

Tom McIntyre

Elvis Bwomono

Conner Douglas

Oliver Green

Tristan Stephen

THE FOLLOWING PLAYERS WILL RETURN TO THEIR PARENT CLUBS:

Lyall Cameron

Liam Morrison

Toyosi Olusanya

Dennis Geiger

THE FOLLOWING PLAYERS HAVE BEEN OFFERED NEW CONTRACTS:

Alfie Stewart

Alfie Bavidge

Dylan Ross

Elvis has left the building.

Elvis has left the building.

As Shinnie’s legs have gone the “we haven’t replaced him by October” really means we haven’t replaced his leadership skills off the park, as he has barely been played lately. Bit surprised he didn’t stay with the carrot dangled of a coaching role though.

Expect Devlin will be captain.

Also, it's good that Besuijen's 10 year contract has finally come to an end.

It would be funny if only the top half of Shinnie went to Inverness. His legs have stayed.

Nisbet more likely to be captain id say, more chance of playing every week than Devlin.

He's saying the next captain is gonna win the fucking lot. 🏆

Or, like Scott Brown, will already have won the lot and won't last the season here...

That was meant to read succeed him, fucking autocorrect

Are we just glossing over the fact that Shinnie has captained an absolute shit show in the last 18 months. Obviously I’m not suggesting he’s entirely responsible but it’s not exactly CV enhancing. Pin pulled…

Many factors in play though, from recruitment, management, tactics, and just overall depth of shit players, don’t think you can really point the finger at shinnie. You can’t complain when your Raleigh grifter doesn’t behave like a Harley.

Yeah, we are, because he isn't the manager, doesn't pick the team, doesn't set the tactics, and isn't one of the coaches, sports scientists, or any one of the many people who have more influence over the squad's performances than he does.

Or do you an idea of what he should be doing? Pinning every member of the squad up against the wall one by one?

Always thought that getting Watson was too good to be true and so it proves as he signs on at Bolton fucking Wanderers

Ah well, he is vastly over rated anyway

🤣fair dos. Was more a provocation than a serious question, blame the Malbec. Obviously he’s a titan with godlike status 💪🫡

…but the pinning against the wall idea sounds decent 🤣

May I be the first to welcome the late Phoenix’s spirit back into the building?

Thou shalt spell the word "Phoenix" P-H-E-O-N-I-X
not P-H-O-E-N-I-X, regardless of what the Oxford English Dictionary tells you

Actually, I would drop the O all together. Not only is it in the wrong place, it is wholly unecessary

He used a double xx at the end 😬

I miss his posts. There’s not enough horoscopes on message boards these days

Rumoured to be after some boy from Linz according to Scott Burns. Alexander Briedl, 24yo midfielder.
