Karlsson is confirmed as being back in the squad.

Personally would leave him out of tonight's game. The away trip to Livi in the league this coming weekend is far more important in the grander scheme of things. No harm in resting him both mentally and physically.

I'd leave it up to the player if possible. Depending on the type of guy he is, and the closeness of his relationship with his grandfather, then he might be even more determined to play. Obviously, don't know the first thing about his situation, but it could be that his grandfather was a big influence on his career, or whatever, and he might feel it fitting to go out and perform in his memory. It'd be a shame to take that decision from him unnecessarily.

Taking his personal situation out of the equation here I would still be resting him and numerous others tonight as this game is pretty meaningless and the trip to Livi on Sunday much more important

I'm curious as to the school of thought that the Livi game is more important than this one. We're not winning the league (this season...) and we're clearly not getting relegated, so if beating Livi is to have any relevance it must surely be to get as high up the league table as possible, to... qualify for Europe? Just to "not prioritise" it anyway? Doesn't compute.

Yeah I don't agree Livi is more important.

Even if you think the chances of qualifying from the league phase isn't going to happen, based on last season's prize money then just winning tonight earns us £350,000.

I also think it would be a nice shot in the arm to defy the odds and not finish bottom of the CL table.  After the poor start to the season it would be a nice two fingered salute to our external critics.

That said a win against Noah and a point against Strasbourg would hopefully be enough to keep us in the mix for the Prague game.  If we could go to the CR with something to play for I think that would be a solid enough achievement given the draw we got.

Posted yesterday, anyone know when red tv will put the full match up for watching today? We dont get it live and I’m considering eating thanksgiving dinner then watching the game after!

At a guess I would say an hour or so?

We are ill equipped with the squad we have to compete in the league and Europe. I'd go as far to say it's ill equipped to compete in the league.

For me the league is always of way higher importance. It is our bread and butter.

Only a an opinion though and if you disagree, then fine.

Even if the squad isn't quite deep enough, we've got 20+ games left to compensate for that, we're running out of European games to win - and earn a shit ton of money from - so I'd rather we prioritised those. As Orlando says, a few of our squad are highly likely to only be here because of the European games so it's important we give them proper attention.

Clarkson must be back in favour, he’s appeared in a number of the social media posts ahead of tonight.

It was him I wondered if Thelins post match comments were aimed at. I hope we see more of him. Had read somewhere that he’d changed agents at the start of the season and that’s been unsettling him? Either way, easily one of the best footballers at the club, just hope he gets the chance to shine.

thunder storm woke me up this morning, taking it as a sign that we’re going to smash it 😎🔴⚪

Oh well.....

Nisbet earned his start by walking around a bit after he came on against hearts? Karlsson a better player than Armstrong, possibly, but I'd have Armstrong all day long. Although I guess we don't want him to be in a similar position to the one he was in against Hibs, where he was fucked from the first minute.

Not sure about the lineup, but no idea what these lads will be like either.
