Yup, Armstrong was total rank too, Clarkson almost tried too hard. Didn’t lose or embarrass ourselves, but pretty normal stuff from us, far from impressive or convincing.

Frankly, we are just not a good team and not a good watch. I really don’t enjoy watching us at all, its painful stuff.

We’re slow, ponderous, disjointed, we have no clear style or pattern of play. Too many players are just played in the wrong place or not capable of playing the formation he wants. Almost every time we break forward we end up checking back and losing any attacking momentum. We dont ever get the ball in the box quickly enough. Its frankly a mess.

We’re pretty much halfway through the 3 year project that’s supposed to make us “competitive in Europe”. Your having a laugh, we’re absolutely miles off it.

Motherwell have put an attractive footballing side together with basically no cash. They have a clear style, shape and football philosophy - plus players capable of playing in that setup, so our current situation is pretty embarrassing.

Lutz has a fair job on his hands & lets hope Mowbray can work his magic again cause this team just isnt ever going to cut it.

Another lacklustre performance from Dons. We move the ball so slowly and never look likely to score. When we did create something it sadly fell to Milanovic who looks a very poor player. Hate to see the other young players in the A league if he was best one last season. 

Result probably puts us out as cannot see us winning last two.

Yeah, agree with much of that. We’re a dire watch, not enjoyable stuff at all. Said it earlier in the season, Motherwell livi falkirk st mirren were all more enjoyable on the eyes. Obviously points matter but it’s so frustrating watching us. Definitely impacts my mood in a negative way for the rest of the day, even when we win!

we’re a squad filled with mediocre or worse. Other that devlin, Milne, knoester, and lobban, I’d take money for anyone else. Can’t remember who said it and it’s been repeated, our summer signings have been shite and we’re a piss poor imbalanced squad.

That wasn't worth the money. 

Really shite performance against a shite team (who scored a nice goal). The conditions weren't great, with both teams struggling to control the ball (they passed it out of play on several occasions). We should still have been walking that game though. No urgency, playing like little kids, regularly not paying attention. The subs, to a man, were honking. Milanovic needs to go on loan in January. He's not athletic enough to play in Scotland, and any technique he might have is hidden by that fact. If he works very, very hard on his fitness, running and strength then he might make it, but there is zero point in persisting. 

I'm going to save tonight's rage for Karlsson though. The guy's a fucking charlatan. Poncing about like a cunt. Clearly thinks he can come here and automatically be the best player on the park. Jogging around and doing wanker-flicks instead of playing the fucking game. He's a clogged drain. Sucks everything through him and then blocks it, making it impossible for those around him. We need to send him back. We can't be playing him every week.

 He had a reasonable site of goal late on in the 2nd half, fannied around, the chance was lost and he turned to the SS and did the "give us some backing" motion with his arms...fuck you, mate if you did your job you'd get our backing.

That was some of the worst passing I’ve seen from us in a long time. Shocking performance against a team there for the taking. Jensen, Armstrong and Shinnie particularly poor. 
 

Karlsson is definitely a player that splits the room. I like him but he does fanny about too much however he’s probably the only player who could definitely create something out of nothing (granted Topi did great for our goal).  I think he’s amongst the least of our problems though. 
 

Agree with the comment about Clarkson trying too much although he did put it on a dime for Karlsson with a cracking cross field ball at one point.

Why are we so shit in the 2nd half - Motherwell, Killie, Hearts, Noah (if only we could have brought on Willem Van der Ark - boom, boom) .  Not that we are any great shakes in the 1st half of those games but we occasionaly played some good fitba, albiet without a cutting edge.  Then after the break we are relying on them missing chance after chance.

Food looks great. Very jealous. Mates did the sweet potatoes and marshmallow  thing last time we were over and have to say didn’t like it. They also did a candy apple thing that was er interesting. Corn bread, Turkey, gravy and mash was amazing.

Sounds like I didn't miss much then.

I fell asleep just after nine, it was a long day, and it was 1-0 at half time and a Nisbet goal too.

Woke up to see it was 1-1 and another ropey second half performance.

Agree on Ricos thoughts on Karlsson.

Really hoped big things from him, but maybe we're seeing why it hasn't happened for him in Italy.

Undoubtedly got talent, but not a team player in my opinion. I remember him having a pop at Malloy a few weeks ago, against Motherwell and it was Karlsson that made the bad passback to him, which left Malloy no choice than to hoof it away and put it back to Motherwell.

Be nice if somebody had a quiet word with him or even gave him a slap in training. No detached retina's though.

A player like Jensen, can be a frustrating watch, but gets a lot of stick. He does stick to his job and grafts away on the pitch.

I posted earlier that Europe wasn't great for us this season and I stick by that.

Hopefully we bounce back at Livi.

My watching of the game efter a band rehearsal turned intae a pub crawl ... nae lang hame so excuse if Ah dinna mak sense.

First half ... some good, dare Ah say clever attackin' moves ... looked like we had it won wi' a good goal fae Nisbet ... nice wee turn in the box under pressure, and a good finish after great work by Keskinen ... 'stealing' possession he had no right tae expect.

Second half?? Err ... As Ah've said before, too many occasions where 'clever' play produces nothing due to 'abandonment of 'the basics'.

Milanovic epitomises this feature of our second half effort. 

I commented to my chum ( a good chum even tho he's a Tim ) .... "Milanovic is the guy fa charms the draars aff half a dizzen lassies but gings hame an' wanks intae a sock!"

... Same can be said o' ithers. Total disregard o' fitba basics! Late stages o' the game, it was like any player forward o' the defense, too often chose tae try and impress wi individual skills rather than be a connection within a team. Nae a new phenomenon ... and it always ends with the same outcome unless one such individual produces an individual spark of quality (Lazetic v St Mirren, Keskinen v Hearts .... dare I say, Morris v Celtic .... list inexhaustable )

Ah would like tae comment on the substitutions .... however, it'll prob tak a few days tae mak sense o' them! 

Ah rarely post negative comments on Dons games, even when we're shite .... but a) Ah'm pished, and b) Ah jist need tae put it on record that Ah thought that was diabolical .... particularly after they scored ... wi their only good move o' the game, and we turned intae a collection o' 10 individuals and a goalie rather than an 11 strong team.

Yep ... strange decision .... but as Ah pointed oot .. Milanovic is the outstanding example representing a collective.

There is no point in a player who can beat two defenders only to pass the ball to a third.
There is no point in a player who can outpace a defence only to sky a cross over the crossbar
There is no point in a player who receives a ball with a clear path to goal only to pass to a midfielder
There is no point to a 'wide' player who cuts inside only to be mobbed/crowded out ... or at best, passes to a player out wide who is not a 'wide player'.

I could go on ... feel free to elaborate .... but to summarise, the thing that pisses me off is not the lack of effort/energy/ability/will/flair .... it is the lack of effectiveness and attention to the fkn basics ... which starts with retaining possession by way of accurate passing .... especially when pressured

I have said it from the first time I seen Milanovic in a dons shirt he is pish and not the standard we should be bringing in.
As for Karlsson he is a selfish little twat and will never be a team player, we need to be cutting his loan short and sending him back.
Has Lazetic got some sort of lead weights in his beets that prevents him from attempting to jump to win a header, seems to more interested in trying to wrestle defenders to the ground than focusing on where the ball is and fcukin jumping for it if he has to (frustrating as fcuk watching him) 

It's no big secret I am a fan of Nisbet, I like the lad a lot and was delighted when we brought him back full time in the summer window. We just need to try and play with a formation and tactics that will enable him to play to his strengths and be far more productive. But sadly our useless cunt of manager seems to be just too fkn stubborn to admit that he needs to change his approach and he continues with trying to ram good quality round pigs firmly into square holes which is clearly nae working and will ultimately cost us much more points than it will ever earn us.
