For starters, what kind of player is signing for a club without knowing who his boss is going to be? More importantly, when the new manager comes in, what if he just does not rate the guy? We are unlikely to win the league , probably won't get relegated, just hold fire for a minute and wait to get the new guy's opinion before signing anyone - even if that means waiting until June. No one really wants to qualify for Europe anyway. Well said. No manager and a bloated squad. Not the time to be signing players long term. Sad but the reality of things.you could even throw lutz in there, coordination with a new manager on the squad, style of play, needs etc. Quote

Ajja Posted 19 hours ago Report Posted 19 hours ago Also, if you get it right with a couple of anchor signings it’s amazing the difference it can make to others who are malfunctioning or just lacking confidence. I’m not entirely convinced we have a lengthy list of complete failures but we do have a list of players who aren’t currently performing. 1 Quote
OrlandoDon Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago Rangers told to pay Dundee 400k for Cameron. A factor with us in no loan to buy option since they didn’t know what they owed?? they’ve been told to pay that, do we know what we’re getting for Barron??? Quote

Perhaps a deal for Cameron can be reached, wipe their debt to us or part of it?? Although I’d expect to pay 600k or more for Cameron. Quote

Joseph Montgomery Harper before we signed him had played something like 85 games for Greenock Morton and scored 65 goals, giving a goals return ration of roond aboot a goal every 1.3 games. That record right there is a wee bit different than Toyosi Olusanya who to date in his career has played something like 135 games and scored a total of 21 goals giving a goals return ratio of roond aboot a goal every 6.5 games So I do say it again. Nothing personally against Olusanya is the best striking option we can attract to the clyb these days and is high up on our list of targets then we would be as well pack it all in and shut the doors. Aberdeen Football are better than this (or at least we fkn should be) Quote

If they still owe us money for the dog botherer, then it highlights that we should never do business with them. If Cameron was a £400k fee. He isn't getting game time at Ibroke and out on loan after six months. Not a great look. We may also want to see how he does over the remainder of the season, before we try and buy him. One half decent game against Raith, doesn't make a player. Quote

No loss whatsoever… Contributing even a solitary tenner towards his wages would have been too much never mind the 10k Have said it since the very first time I seen him in a Dons shirt, not a team player of any stretch of the imagination and as you correctly say Moog nothing more than a very selfish My Little Show Pony twat. if we are freeing up 10k then that's a win win situation right there. Getting rid of that plonker and freeing up the cash. Happy days indeed Quote
TheDonbytheDee Posted 33 minutes ago Report Posted 33 minutes ago I don't think I have ever seen an Aberdeen player, look so disinterested playing for us, especially these past few weeks. On paper it was a cracking signing and it wasn't just Aberdeen fans saying it at the time, but the reality was, he really wasn't what we needed. He will have to change his approach to fitba, as he has now played for Bologna, Lecce and now Aberdeen, in a short space of time, whilst doing nothing of note for any of us. I know we are a basket case, footballing wise, but can't just be the fault of the clubs, that he is failing. Quote
