January 2026 Transfer Window

It really never is too early and given it is 2nd September where I am, I'm kicking this one off right now.

Take the chance to start moaning about what we are still missing post Summer 2025 window shutting.

Wonder who the first concrete rumour will involve 🤔

  • Back when Fergie was manager, if a player asked for a day off he'd chain them to the side of the pier. After high tide, he'd untie them, and if they weren't dead he'd fine them a week's wages.

  • Disagree, think he's actually played very well in spells, but has been woefully mismanaged. He's been over played (compare his minutes to Graeme Shinnie), he's been constantly shuttled into diffe

Offers something our current strikers don't (some goals). I don't blame him for not wanting to come back, but I hope we have someone else coming in (surely we do with him and Yengi out the door)?

Hacked off at this

Both him and Vinnie never got a real chance here

I won't hold my breath waiting to see the "upgrades" coming in this month

Sokler sale confirmed

Bit disappointed in this as there was a player in there and he was definitely bettter than Ambrose, Yengi and even Lazetic.

Better than Ambrose and Yengi isn't saying much... Lazetic is only 21 so has time on his side.

Sokler was never going to be better than "alright" and that's not what we need right now or in the future so getting any kind of cash for him is a good move imo.

Sokler's chance to really kick on and stake a place in the team was after his wonder goal at Easter Road, but he spent most of the second half of last season injured. He was unlucky in that respect, but between the Hibs game & his injury, he started four out of five games and didn't score in any of them, and the Hibs goal was his only one since October, so he wasn't exactly a striker in form.

It didn't look good that we sent him out on loan though, but kept Ambrose and signed Yengi. And from memory he looked okay in both legs v FCSB. Really, we should have given him a chance, but if we're looking at Hearts and Hibs as our benchmark, is he as good as Shankland, Braga or Boyle? I'd argue Nisbet better than him too.

Sokler would possibly as done well as any of our strikers this season, that's not saying much mind, but he would have faced the same issues the rest of them have have.

It's not really fair to say he didn't get a chance. He could score a spectacular goal, no question, but feck me, you knew if he was through on goal, one on one with a keeper, you knew it would be a spectacular miss.

He had 26 starts and 46 appearences from the bench for Aberdeen and scored 12 goals, six of those coming in the league cup.

I like the loon and I honestly hope he goes and has a great career, but best for us and him that he is away.

Sokler and Vinny definitely prove the old line that absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Both were spectacularly average. Nowhere near what we need to actually progress and get better.

I agree they are no worse than some of the dross we have here now, but by fuck that’s an incredibly low bar.

Nothing against either and I wish them the very best in their careers, but they are absolutely not what we need moving forward…

This is progress. Players moving on. Worst case, like Vinny, it’s another loan, but it’s some money off the books. We need to move players on from our badly bloated squad.

i know there is frustration with the lack of players coming in, but I he we have to create some space/funds too.

none of the players living are good enough, regardless of poor quality we have in our first 11.

Cameron is an odd one, we have Clarkson Armstrong and Marshall all playing that position. Not really what we need. Certainly not a lot without the option. Would prefer Marshall got an opportunity to be honest.

Could argue Aouchiche also similar in style to Cameron.

You think some of them might improve with death?

Haha. Guess my post was cold! None of the players ‘leaving’ although am I wrong in the typo??

I guess they wouldn't get in the way as much if they were dead, or give the ball away, so I think you might have been right.

And again fuck sake

This is a fucking disgusting,  tone deaf, tinpot,  shite move.

Learned fuck all from the Scales and Christie ("we very nearly signed him though") debacles.

I fucking hate fitba.

Short term shite. Fucking stupid move.

Who drops out to give this hun fuck game time. A Hun who rejected chance to join us already.

Really not happy with this.

I don’t watch football to cheer on Huns

Are we certain there is no option to buy?

He says in a video on the club socials that he wants to work hard for Aberdeen and help us until the end of the season.

Surprisingly, after six months at Rangers, he can still string a few sentences together.

As bad a move as that is under normal circumstances, the timing couldn’t be worse right now. We are a club letting so much slip right now and the fan base is lost with what the plan looks like. The optics here absolutely stink.

There was nothing on club statement about option to buy and reading Cameron’s quotes he is here to show what he can do in this league

to me that reads show Danny Rohl what he can do so he gets more chance next season

Pathetic move from the club and regardless of the how the lad plays, shouldn’t be borrowing players from either arse cheek to develop them for the future

try a bit harder developing our players

Just a desperate move by us.

A player that was supposedly very close to signing for us last year, under freedom on contract, only to ditch us when the huns dropped their drawers.

Fuck him.

He had better do well and quickly, as this signing has the potential to get very messy, very quickly.
