  1. The key is being able to track the night sky and by doing between 20 and 30 second exposures and stacking the images. ISO settings tend to be 1200 and obviously you get a lot of 'noise', but Photoshop helps a lot with touching the photos up. Unfortunately my telescope mount broke last year so i am saving for a new one, but will hopefully get a goto mount where i can track objects for longer exposures. Aye it is amazing what you can see, even with small telescopes. Mine is a 5.1" reflector, but viewing planets and larger celestial objects still look amazing. Mind blowing doesnt even come close to describing it for me, im a space geek and the first time a i saw Andromeda through a telescope was incredible.
  2. A stunning picture. As an amateur astronomer, I live in envy of the Hubble and the amazing pictures it can produce. Whereas my photos from my telescope come out black and white or perhaps with a small hint of colour and look tiny in comparison. It does slightly cheat in the fact that it doesn't photograph in colour and the colour is actually added in, but still beautiful. I am attending a photography workshop in Stoney later this year, so hopefully can learn a few new tricks that will help photograph deep space images a bit better. There truly is nothing more beautiful than space. Cheers for posting :-)
  3. For me this season has been better. The Euphoria around winning the cup was immense, but it was a one off game and we went into a downward slide after it. For me, and taking the entire season into account, its been better. Celtic has been our biggest hurdle all season, but their budget is 6 times ours, so im not overly surprised. I never thought we would EVER be this close to the top of the league again in my lifetime, so to achieve that and be consistent over the course of a season, is a bigger achievement than winning a cup which is only over a handful of games. You could counteract that opinion with "football is about trophies", but we have never looked more likely in a long time and IMO we are better this season than we were last, by a country mile. With improvements in the summer, next season could be very interesting.
  4. I think a combination of trying to break America and failing to recognize people needs has been their downfall. The cock up of overstated profits was also a sign that things weren't rosy. 5bn though... that is serious sheckles. I was always a fan of Tesco, but when i started shopping elsewhere i realised how much cheaper food was and how much the quality improved also. I can honestly say i save £30-40 per week shopping elsewhere now. They dominated the market and took everything for granted. They get what they deserve, though no doubt the big bosses will be 'rewarded' with huge bonuses/payoffs and great pensions, while normal employees will be left with nothing.
  5. Incredible. Though i reckon ICT should do the same and get Zaluska banned for his downing of Ofeme in the 2nd half of ET. That was a clear penalty that wasn't given also... SFA decision = can of worms. Hope ICT make it as hard as possible for them.
  6. Sky News : Tesco will guarantee itself an unwanted place in UK corporate history on Wednesday when it unveils an annual loss of well over £5bn, one of the biggest ever reported by a British company. Sky News has learnt that the UK's biggest retailer will announce that statutory pre-tax losses were significantly above £5bn - a figure which represents the most pessimistic of market expectations. Cant say I didnt see it coming.
  7. If this is the course of action that the SFA are now taking post match, then lets review every single game from now on. No, lets go one better than that, every game since the start of the season. This game has set a precedent now, they cant ban Meekings and expect no repercussions when every other team asks them to review other situations. The SFA have opened themselves up for a shitstorm of backlashes now and i hope every team in Scotland will bombard them with similar decisions that go against them. It is sickening how corrupt the SFA are, but its even worse how cowardly they are. Only Celtic could influence them in this way and get the outcome they hoped for. The vicTim fans will think justice has been done, but this opens up a whole new era in refereeing in this country. Yes the standard is poor, but if this is now the way we handle these situations then i look forward to benefiting from it in the future ( insert : aye fit iver smiley) . All of this because they didnt get their treble. It was a big game, it was a big decision, but f*ck me the season has been full of them, and we of all teams know that only too well. Expect Celtic to get absolutely every decision between now and the end of the season. If they go down in the box, they will get a pen its that simple. The SFA dont have a backbone, therefore the ref's wont either. Its easier for them to give a decision for Celtic than against. This could be a huge milestone in the game and I hope to f*ck that ICT challenge this all the way and win. Where was the compliance officer when the handball occurred against Dundee a few weeks back? We would be 3 points behind Celtic now, not 5 if that had gone our way (using Celtic fan mentality). Or what about Griffiths on Brown at Parkhead, or the foul Scott Brown committed in the middle of the park before Celtic went on to beat us at Pittodrie. Where is the line drawn? The SFA have opened up a can of worms here and i hope they suffer for it.
  8. I just don't see the need to spend £100bn on something we will never use. Its not even a deterrent, it is just purely there for status purposes. Why cant we lead the way in disarming the weapons altogether and why is the SNP's question on nuclear weapons not getting answered. £100bn is a shed load of money and it amazes me the amount of people who still think it 'creates jobs' so its okay. No it isn't, they are evil, they cause destruction beyond any human recognition and they have no place in todays world.
  9. Seen that yesterday... how the f*ck is she allowed out alone. How can she even put one foot in front of the other with tripping over her tongue. Pretty much sums the tims up though. Almost as good a video as thon young lassie who freaked out on webcam over the tims losing to Juve. Good times! https://www.youtube.com/embed/143OGMSUedA
  10. There is only one flaw in that beautiful scenario... referee's. After what happened at the weekend and with Celtic writing to the SFA over the ref, they will shout for everything, they will go doon like a hooker on crack, they will surround the referee and the shite ref'sin this country will give them EVERY decision. I want them to falter, they will falter, but they will also get everything their way. I just hope the fans put pressure on Delia and the team if it doesnt according to plan, that may well be their undoing.
  11. The negative of allowing all teams to receive the same payout regardless of position, is that what is there to play for. Sure winning the league or finishing as high up the table as possible is any clubs goal, but what about mid-table clubs who dont have a European place to play for or relegation to fight for. The cash incentive gives sides something to play for. It creates competition, even if it isnt purely for sporting reasons. Whether we like it or not, to the clubs, the sporting side of football is lesser important than the cash. As a football fan it should be all about the football, but clubs need the cash to survive. Yes they should be able to budget within each individuals means, but even then a gap will emerge. Would i like to see us set a precedent? of course!! would i like to see all clubs receive even TV money, sponsorship money and league money, again of course, but no club is going to vote for that and the SPFL are incapable of implementing anything of use to the leagues. In a world where money talks in football, I sadly cant see Scottish football changing its ways.
  12. I just hope their heads drop now and they realise that they arent immortal. Could be a few jittery weeks for the tims coming up and you wouldnt put it past ICT, Dundee, St J and even us doing something against them. They will win the league, but i hope all the top 6 teams make it as hard as possible for them. On a side note, i saw this over on timtalk : Posted by Bigbrute View Post : How the fuck can that useless heap of shite be our national stadium/pitch. The amount of times players slipped on that was beyond a joke. Lovethetic88 : It wouldn't surprise me if it was done on purpose, there was no players sliding about like that in yesterdays game. Was it nae the same pitch for ICT ? #paranoidfc
  13. Always one that grind my gears this one. Lets market Scottish football by renaming the leagues and bring about our own individuality... by naming it after the bloody English leagues. They must have been up for a week thinking that one up. Doncaster needs to go, but that ship sailed a long time ago. He will leave with a whimper if at all. The damage is done and the Armageddon saga should have been the final nail, yet they kept him in. I specifically remember hearing him on BBC Scotland saying Der hun would be playing in the SPL the season after they were liquidated and when Tom English asked what if the other clubs vote them out, Doncaster still reiterated there would be a Rangers in the SPL. That never sat well with me because he was obviously clueless to his own rules and league setup. Budge is a breath of fresh air, lets hope she keeps it up.
  14. Thank christ Mind you, Ed Mil or Jim the tim... tough een... well nae really, wouldnt vote Labour ever anyway
  15. I must admit, i quite like the woman. Straight talking and nae bullshitting nonsense... could do with her type running the game. #budgeforchiefexecutive
  16. I think Farage needs a lesson on what lies north of Hadrians wall, as he clearly thinks the wall is the border between the two countries. Just another reason why i cant take the man seriously. His anti-Scottish rhetoric doesnt sit well with me either and the constant berating of non-Brits is tiring also. If he could put forward his arguments without blaming it on immigrants, then one could begin to sympathise, but instead he comes across like a raving lunatic, out of touch with reality. Despite the fact that the SNP wanted independence, they didnt want to be leave the EU. I support that and IMO the benefits of the EU outweigh the negatives of it. Farage and UKIP just dont appeal to me and never will, hence my negativity towards him.
  17. She puts herself across very well and i think she benefits from the lack of 'smugness' that came with Salmond. I was a Salmond fan but i am very much a Nicola one now. Farage is a first class penis. From what i can make of him, everything that is wrong with this country is down to immigrants. Thankfully only a complete divot would buy into his shite and its mainly the keyboard warriors that give him any sort of backing, but the danger is that if the Lab and Cons continue to balls it up then it gives UKIP more support. A protest vote they may be, but some of the public can be very fickle and protests votes can give them a platform to spout their rubbish. Despite as surge in popularity, i actually think UKIP will bomb at the election.
  18. The 16 team league model is the ideal outcome, however, as long as Doncaster is in charge, the game will never fully develop and prosper and for all the reasons you have mentioned above. The status quo, all the OF games you can cram into a season, helicopter Sundays... they (Donacster, Regan) crave the return of it. The reality of the situation is that the 16 league setup or any league reconstruction for that matter, will not be put forward for the benefit of the Scottish game, but to return to the duopoly of yesteryear. A system specifically designed where 2 clubs dominate absolutely everything until once again the Scottish game is drained of all its resources. I would like to think everyone has learned the lesson from last time, but the 'injustice' felt by those running the game over the hun debacle, will ensure it will return to the old setup at any given opportunity. The chance has gone to change how this game is run in this country, the chance to finally put a stop to financial domination and change the voting system to a fairer system that benefits all clubs. We need people with vision, integrity and sense of realism to run the game. Those who are unafraid to stand up for all the clubs, those who have sporting integrity at the heart of their decisions and those who will finally rid the game of the 2 club system that is rotting the game to the core. Only once Doncaster, Regan et.al are gone will the game prosper and at that point, a 16 team league will work and fully benefit the game.
  19. For it or against it? Personally I would be for it, if I didn't think it was possibly being designed for the benefit of just one club that play in blue. Rumours flying around all over the place this morning that league reconstruction is very much on the cards. After yesterdays debacle over the playoff's, Keith Jackson tweeted : "If you think the SPFL is the eye of a shit-storm tonight then just wait till you see what else is brewing! Tomorrow should be interesting". Could mean anything of course, but by the SPFL standards and the ever dwindling integrity of Doncaster and Regan, it could be interpreted as meaning league reconstruction. So what would you like to see happen and do you think regardless of it being used to help the huns, would it be beneficial to the game... The jury is still out for me on this one.
  20. It was poetic and as always I had a wee look over on RM to see their reactions. One poster 'BennyBongo' had the perfect solution to the question, "how much will it take"... his answer genius : "Depends how much King will spend. I reckon 20M if we are promoted. If that is wisely invested it will guarantee 2nd, and maybe a push for the title. Need to wait and see. I think north of 30M would be ideal and give us a good shout for winning the title and getting back to the top table in Europe." Ahhh, ever the optimists When will they learn? ... hopefully never because its way too funny!
  21. Jim Murphy just committed political suicide... spoke of how when he watches his football team (celtic) he expects them to win. This was in line with him always going into a competition to win. Muppet The debate is more of a debate this week, however the people in the crowd asking the questions sound like they couldnt take a piss with out wetting the front of their troosers.
  22. A terrible shame. One of the only a few that would say things as they really were, unafraid of what the consequences may have been. A rare breed.
  23. Donsdaft, just got to profile ~ account settings ~ Modify profile ~ look and layout. Tick boxes in there to modify how you see things.
  24. Aye you get away with something enough, you continue to do it. Its a bit like Scott Brown, fouls rarely go against him, so he just lunges at everything. Referees are to blame. Hope Hearts can do something too, but I think Sev are starting to find form as you have said.
