  1. That mink Mculloch has been sent off for.......drum roll..... an elbow. Shock.
  2. I had a quick look and yes it looks like the only two league games we have lost at home. Not too bad at all.
  3. Cant see a majority government myself. I think coalition governments are here to stay for a while yet, but yes could be very interesting indeed. The SNP are making waves up here and its interesting that despite many people voting 'no', they are still willing to back the SNP in an election. That to me speaks volumes.
  4. My gripe with yesterdays game and that of the Dundee game, is that we have somehow started to let 'long ball' tactics creep into our game. Several times yesterday both Taylor and Reynolds punted the ball up to no one, which in itself is bad enough, but we we dont have a tall enough or physical enough players to deal with the long ball, with the exception of Rooney. I have personally thought for a few weeks now that Reynolds has been poor at the back. He looks unsure at times and resorts to punting tactics more often than a straightforward pass. The criticism of Langfield/Brown for the season is justified to an extent, but he Langfield didnt do much wrong yesterday. His kicking is pish, but thats no secret. What i cant stand is defenders needlessly passing the ball back to him and allowing the margin of error to increase. He should be able to cope with standard back passes, but he doesnt so therefore there is no need to pass it too him. Yesterday was frustrating, we didnt play well and we didnt look like we were going to create anything. The referee's decision against Hayes was bizarre to say the least and once again that may have cost us points. A draw was a fair result, dissipointing as it is. Hopefully we can pick ourselves up and wrap up second place. Once that happens I would like to see Shankland, Cammy et.al get starts in the remainder of the games. Looking forward to next season already.
  5. Though this is maybe why she is now getting stories in the press about her wanting the Conservatives to be in government. A soon as she seems to be any threat to British unity or policies, the negative press ensues. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that she wants a Labour government, she is left wing, her party is left wing and its not like the Conservatives have been of any use to Scotland over the years and the SNP have made no secret of their hatred towards the Cons. Now the press is trying to portray her as a turncoat or liar and its typical of the British MSM to act like this towards an SNP leader.
  6. The Daily Mails take on Nic'
  7. After reading that book im actually amazed how close it came to happening. I have watched movies and read articles, but none of them actually described the situation as it was at the time. Not sure how the world would react to such a situation in modern times, but the doomsday clock would have us believe its still a very real possibility.
  8. If my own experience was anything to go by, it should be funny. My fridge consisted only of butter and a tin of squirty cream. I even bought disposable paper plates so i didnt have to wash up after dinner... ahhh the good old days!
  9. Nae bad for a bloke in his 60's eh! A little lighter on the hair front, but then look at the likes of Jimmy Paige, Pete Townsend and Angus Young... seems to happen to the best. Love the video buy the way. May invest some of my time youtubing that concert
  10. Flattery, or this is full proof that the stars speak pish
  11. Its that pin-eyed, eyes too close together look that gets me about him, a bit like gee double-Ya Bush and TM defo had that look. Incidentally, Tosh Mckinlay always reminds me of Ricard Keys for some reason.
  12. Impressive , that must have been something to witness! Im sure I have "Framton Comes Alive" on LP somewhere still, but its on my Spotify for easy access anyway.
  13. How on earth did he not make the top 100? "Frampton comes alive" was one of the best albums of the 70's and sounds great today. Mind you, when Slash is outside the top 50 and George Harrison is classed as a better guitarist than David Gilmour and Angus Young, then it loses its credibility. Meantime I shall watch that Frampton video once again
  14. Micheal Dobbs - 1 Minute to Midnight. A good read and frightening. I wasnt around during the 60's but the book gave me an insight into the thoughts and minds of Khrushchev, Kenndedy and the world at that time.
  15. ... maybe someone should tell them there's nae any Butlins in Europe!
  16. Dug oot an old album from the 90's, Feeling Strangely Fine by Semisonic. Some great memories from the time that album came out. Still 'ken every word to the album today
  17. Aye you're absolutely right there! ...2-0 us, then Celtic came back into it and then we got the last minute winner. I briefly remember listening to it on the radio. If my ever dwindling memory serves me right, i think he had another 2 goals against Celtic in an end of a season affair.. though again i could be wrong. Something sticks in my mind that Celtic had the league wrapped up, they were singing ' you are only here for the party' at Pittodrie and we came back from two gaols down and got the draw... of course i could be mixing some memories up there again
  18. Im Stupie, real name Stu. Pronunciation of Stupie is Stoo-pee just to make that clear that is nae 'pie' or 'pid' as in some folks opinion I live in Peterhead, much to my disappointment, but grew up in Cruden Bay for most of my life. I was born in Dumfries, so originally a doonhamer by birth, but always been brought up to follow the dons and I am currently a season ticket holder in the lower RDS. I work in the motor trade, im a big Guns n Roses fan and love anything football related. Looking forward to a new start on here after years on Abmad.
  19. John Stewart... holy crap forgot about him. My only real memory of him was his superb last minute goal against Celtic at Porkhead. I think we won it 3-1 if i remember correctly.
  20. According to the beeb, "Stuart McCall says Rangers will be challenging for European qualification next season if they win promotion to the Scottish Premiership." One step at a time Stuarty, your team is barely challenging the sides in the bottom half of the Championship . They can barely function, but will be challenging for Europe 'IF' promoted... ! On yersel' min

Cheers guys! looking forward to the banter and discussing all things red.
  22. A decent enough player and one that certainly won the fans over. Only 20 games under his belt for us though, so could easily have had a string of bad games too, but a player i wouldnt have minded seeing coming back.

I am a refugee from AbMad too, as said above it has become unusable. Spent 3 years posting almost every day and a couple of months back I started a thread complaining about the sites access, adverts and the inability to reply/quote, and got them all blocked and was told to email my complaint, which i did and got nothing back, so time for a wee change. Tried the hat a few years back, but i cant bring myself to converse with half of them on there, so wont be going back there again. Had a wee look on here and saw some old names and the posts look fairly decent, so looking forward to giving it a go
  24. 7 is a lot, but i think it was handled in a decent way. Thon presenter leading the debate was quite assertive and didnt let them cut each other up with their opinions. I preferred it to the Cameron/Milli debate last week it, thats for sure. I see the YouGov snap poll gave it to Sturgeon which is quite surprising, although I thought she handled it very well tonight.
