  1. What hope does Scottish Football have when those that run the game believe this is the best step forward! im Sorry, but if these guys cant get our game right in a pure Scottish Football format, then they need sacked, pure and simple. I personally believe, and have said this many times before, that there is nothing wrong with Scottish Football. The authorities are so obsessed with trying to model us on the modern game and the English game, that they have forgotten what football is about altogether. When they restructured the leagues, what did they do? they copied the English format with their Championship, league 1 league to pish. These guys just don't have the ability to be innovative or try something new. They look at teams like Morton, Dumbarton etc etc and see them as non-entities, when in fact these clubs and many like them, ours included, are clubs steeped in history and tradition. Do we compete at a "top" level, no we don't, but is that really a bad thing? We are so obsessed with TV money, Champions league money etc that we forget about what its all about. 99% of football teams in the world will never make it to the Champions league or make millions in TV money, yet they still exist, they are still supported and those that support them do so with pride. Is the old man that has walks to Palmerston every Saturday and has done for the last 70 years, less important than the toothless hack that turn up 3 times a season to Watch Celtic in the group stage of the CL. Doncaster and Regan would have you think so, because they believe Scottish Football needs it. Its just false, its a lie and we are obsessed with this lie. We need new innovative people to run our game, who can forget about all the money, change the structure and format in which we operate and try live within our means. lets get back to football, here in Scotland, no English leagues, no Atlantic leagues and move on. If those that desire it so bad really want to go, let them go! We will survive regardless.
  2. Received my 4 yesterday!! Buzzin' Any scoop on ticket sales?
  3. aye I have heard plenty people say put it in Old Deer so it doesn't end up on their door step!! It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't literally 500 yards from my own house. I only bought it earlier this year
  4. Aye, adverts for me too and folk getting too touchy. Enjoying the layout and the banter here much more than AbMad.
  5. Always good to have your obligatory "aye" on these threads
  6. <========= Cracking whisky that min!!
  7. Excellent! Cheers for trying yourself, much appreciated!!
  8. It really is that simple, yet Strachan cant seem to even do the basics. His biggest problem is that he cant recognise his own faults and doesn't like them being addressed by anyone else either. Changing anything would admit defeat and that doesn't seem to be in his personality to do that. I do wonder how much he actually watches Scottish football and if its just a case of picking the players that get some plaudits in the media. As I said earlier, I genuinely couldn't tell you who half the team is or who the play for and im sure many others cant either. It is quite possibly the worst "Scotland" international team in history.
  9. i didnt wait around! cant stomach the little gnome.
  10. Im looking at that group we are in and im thinking what an opportunity we have... but in reality we have been in decline for years. Losing to teams like Slovakia and drawing with Lithuania would have been considered an embarrassment years ago, but it really isnt anymore. The majority of the team dont play at a top level and have very little experience in big games i.e champions league etc. Its little wonder we play the way we do.
  11. Awful kit, awful team, awful manager, awful future and to top it all off, an awful authority running the show.
  12. I was going to say this campaign has been an embarrassment, but really its about right. I honestly swear to christ couldnt tell you who half the team is or what clubs they play for. The only embarrassment is the inability to pick true Scottish players from within Scotland and the inability to recognise that 2 of our strikers arent fit for purpose.
  13. Already up to 145 signatures!! Thanks for helping :-)
  14. The yanks love the drama that is election time. The hype consumes them, even if the candidates are pish or that the system is flawed. I stayed in Houston during the last election and they are bat shit crazy over there. Placards, garden signs, car stickers etc ... everywhere. I agree that one person shouldn't be in charge and its crazy to think that one person can make a decision that can effect millions of people. World politics is fully flawed and its gone beyond control.
  15. A friend of mine was visiting the US a couple of weeks back and spoke to heaps of Amercians across a few different states about the election. From what he said, most are actually embarrassed by it all. Not just because of Trump, but because of the way it has been played out by both camps. The consensus seems to be trying to vote for which one is of the lesser evil. I don't like Trump personally, the man is clearly a sandwich short of a picnic and the idea of him being the leader of one of the worlds nuclear powers is frightening, however, Clinton doesn't appear to be much better. Yes she is far more intelligent, but she is also a fucking cretin of a human. A system that allows only rich people to run for president is clearly flawed and it was only a matter of time before a run like this happened. Trump is clearly screwed and he will surely be dropped like a brick by the republicans, but Clinton becoming president doesn't exactly scream relief to me. As said above, which is the lesser of the two evils... my money is on neither.
  16. Only if he is sacked, because that c*nt wont walk that's for sure. I don't think I dislike any manager in the game more than Strachan. Fantastic player, that's never in doubt, but what a wanker of a human being!
  17. Was a bit disappointed with it. Don't think I laughed more than once. The earlier ones were superb and some of the funniest TV comedy I have seen in a very long time. Watched last weeks Westworld TV series at the weekend and thought it was excellent. Really looking forward to seeing where it goes. Was completely confused to start with, but finally starting to see what it is. Ed Harris is a frightening bastard in it like!!
  18. She is super hot in Wolf of Wall Street. I don't think there would be many who would turn someone like her down like. Kinda think she can look average at times, but then we all do I suppose.
  19. My first ever dons game was the 92 League cup final against Rangers. I don't remember much being only 10, but I remember the looks on the fans faces when the OG went in. My first ever football game was a Hannover Vs Hamburg game in 1987 in Hannover. Was living over there while my dad was in the forces. Went to a good few Hannover games, but supported the dons because of my dad from very early on.
  20. Siol nan Gaidheal... who are they and fits it all aboot? Seen some guy on Facebook having a moan because there was a Siol nan Gaidheal flag at the game last night, but nae idea what it means. Had a brief look on wiki, but not much on there. Anyone have a clue?
