Just started reading Fatherland... seems like a very good book so far. A crime thriller set in an alternative history, where the Nazi's won the war. Love all that kinda stuff ! Any other recommendations on this kind of thing?

Sounds goosed im afraid. They are temperamental bastards of things at the best of times, so water doesnt go well. I once took my camera to the beach and managed to grains of sand in the lens. Fooked it completely and had to buy a new zoom lens. The guts of £200 wasnt the best of feelings.

Another bizarre signing by McInnes. Doesn't seem to fit into any of his plans, a bit like Storey, yet made the signing anyway. Nae even convinced he is cover for anyone either. Pointless wage when you consider we have youth players who also dont make it into the first team.

SOAD... I used to listen to them a lot, but didn't realise they were still on the go. At the time they broke into the mainstream, I was mostly listening to Nu-Metal bands like Linkin Park, Papa Roach etc etc. Some good times back in the early 2000's

Saw Maiden a few years back at the AECC. They are one my all time favourites, but they were poor that night. Wasn't too much crowd interaction and seemed to go through the motions. It was not helped by the fact the AECC is awful for listening to live music in. That said, the warm-up act, Airbourne, were fantastic. Was also let down by the fact they played only one tune from ' A Matter of Life and Death". Bloody love that album!!

Its impossible to use by phone and not a joy to use by other means either. Always needing to refresh for new posts to come up and the main menu to update. Absolute pain in the hoop of a forum. Enjoying myself on here though and seems like a decent bunch have welcomed us in!!

So, who likes their heavy metal bands on here? New stuff, old stuff, a mix of both? Its hard to know what is construed as 'Heavy Metal' these days, but not so many decent up and coming bands coming through. Melodic Rock is a decent enough site for listening to newer bands, but find many just try to copy other bands, rather than be innovative. Massive GNR and Metallica fan myself... will hopefully see GNR in Europe next year, with the original line up or close to it anyway

Hi Guys, Please could you take a minute to sign my petition below. Aberdeenshire Council are planning to put a travellers site up in Old Deer at Aikey Brae, very close to where I live. The site is a historical one, with one of the oldest stone circles in the Buchan area and the old abbey is nearby. The site is set to cost over £300K and the last time the travellers came here they trashed the area and left a right old mess. The locals love the area and it would be a shame and a real detriment to us if this went ahead. Cheers for reading !!
