Hearing there's a lot of movement in the Dons ranks. Had a quick squint through who's signed but also seeing hints that McInnes has binned a few as well. Anyone care to compile a list of who's in and who's out?

Personally I'll miss Hearts. There, I've said it. They are/were a big physical team who are/were a thorn in our side. I'd far rather we beat teams on the field than on a spreadsheet. I don't have a problem with their fans (although the Huns songs do wind me up), their teams always had a player or two you loved to hate (which is surely part and parcel of being a rival fan) and their mad as fuck chairman kept me amused. Add to that the Edinburgh derby, away days in Edinburgh and Tynecastle being a decent ground then I think they'll be a loss. Who the fuck wants a trip to Morton or Livingston anyway?

Couple things: Why target the end of a marathon? If you're looking for maximum damage then you'd have thought the start would have been the way to go. No doubt the gun lobbyists will jump all over this and use it for their own agenda why you should arm yourself to the teeth with automatic machine guns. The irony being a gun wouldn't protect you from this type of carnage.

The way I quantify the lack of ideas rolling around the council HQ is that anyone with half a brain cell in Aberdeen is making dough at an oil company. Granted there are a fair few idiots making a living from drilling holes in the ground too, but by and large the smart cookies are in places of power at the big hitters of oil and gas. That leaves the lunatics running (or should that be 'ruining') the asylum.

Although I'm not over the moon I am glad to see that we're beginning to reap the rewards of the youth set up. If we keep producing youngsters like these and making money from them then that can only be a good thing. The simple facts are we cannot compete with the money down south but I'm quite happy if selling the odd youngster that means we're able to compete with teams in our own division. Who knows, in a few years time when we've sold a few more and have a few more quid in the bank then we might start being able to hold onto the better ones?
