Sky Sports reporting that McInnes has been giving permission to talk to Sunderland with a compensation deal close to being agreed.

Keith Jackson has Tweeted that NO compensation has been agreed but McInnes has been granted permission to talk to Sunderland.

Tyrone at STV now reporting the same, compensation has been agreed.

I saw Keith Curle's name do the round son Twitter last night. P&J saying this morning the Dons board have things in place to make a quick appointment if Deek does leave. They mention Tommy Wright and Jim McIntyre.

Daily Record reporting that talks have begun between Aberdeen and Sunderland over the compensation for McInnes and Docherty. Milne holding out for £1million.

I wish they would just get on with, if he is going then we need a to get a new manager in ASAP to build and prep the team for Europe.

Evening Express seem to think that Sunderland are gearing up to make their official approach to Aberdeen to speak to McInnes.

Some people now saying that Hayes move to Celtic could depend on whether Celtic can get Patrick Roberts instead. If I was Hayes I would tell them where to go.

The Express still reporting that Sunderland will make an approach to speak to McInnes in the next 48 hours. Hopefully this situation gets resolved quickly as we have a little bit of squad rebuilding to do at the moment!

Seen a few rumnours over on other Dons forums, I even had a scout on Sunderland forum and they claimed to have inside info from the Evening Express, I know, that McInnes had offered his resignation. Until it comes from Derek or the club itself I wont believe any of it.

Really do not want Hayes to leave but he is being linked witg Celtic, Birmingham, Cardiff (again) and Sunderland should McInnes head there. I definitely think one of these clubs will test the water with a bid for him. Christie would be a goo signing on a permanent deal, are we really going to spend £500k on a player though??

Just spotted a Tweet from Chris Harvey, a link to an article on the Sunderland Echo claiming McInnes wants the Sunderland job.

Nothing will probably come of it but it certainly would not surprise me if Sunderland did make a move for McInnes. His exploits for us the past few seasons are surely getting him noticed south of the border and it will most likely be a matter of time before an official approach comes in from somewhere. Of course I would be gutted if he left but I wont begrudge him the chance at another crack down south.

AFC have just tweeted that that Shinnie will be captain on Saturday.

Jack shouldnt play in the final purely based on performance. The team, in my opinion, are playing better without him just now.
