Ken Block. American rally driver. Only 55. All I really know about him was he liked to drive fast things. Best thing I did see of his was where he drove around central London.
  2. It says a lot about the state of the club at the moment when talking about where to have a night oot in Elgin is more exciting than the game.
  3. When Sydney United 58 played in the Australia Cup final this year, while the Welcome to Australia ceremony was getting done there was singing of the Za dom spremni from some of the Sydney United 58 fans. The Za dom spremni is pretty much the "Sieg Heil!" of the far right Croatian organization Ustase. Football Australia were quick in placing sanctions on SU58 but this shite has been going on for years in Australian football. https://www.footballaustralia.com.au/news/sydney-united-58-fc-sanctioned-australia-cup-final-fan-behaviour
  4. For some reason my wife gets notifications on here phone with the Aberdeen scores. When we got beat by Celtic she said to me that we must have played well as they only scored one goal... When she got the Hun game score she said to me it was good that we scored a few goals... Anyway, the divorce papers should be through soon.

They have been showing re-runs Cheers on the tv here. It's really cringey when you see how sexist It can come over. Sam would be in prison now with the way he acts.

I'm at an age now where some family and friends are getting into their 70's and 80's. I hate to think about what the future will bring. Sorry for your losses, Al.
  12. The easy way out of that is go and support Rangers or Celtic. So many glory seekers out there have done that for years. If you want a team that wins nearly every game in the season that's what you want to do. I'm lucky enough to have seen the glory years of being a Don. But.. I've lived through the utter shite that we played under the likes of Alex Miller, Steve Paterson and Mark McGhee. I'll support Aberdeen to the day I die even If we ended up in the Highland League. As BigAl said, once a Don, always a Don.
  13. This team fucking does my head in.
  14. Thoughts on VAR?
  15. Send me a PM with your name change and I'll change it, mate.
  16. I fucking hate that team. Bunch of deluded fuckknuckle's

Sad to see the death of Mikhail Gorbachev. I was born in the early 70's and growing up during the cold war era was a scary time. Personally, what Gorbachev did means more to me than any other politician in my life time. The Soviet union and the Eastern Bloc would have collapsed at sometime, but Gorbachev speeded things up. Even up to his death he was a critic of Putin and that makes him a top man in my eyes. RIP
  18. An Sgurr on Eigg would be my guess as where the photo was taken.
  19. Isle of Rum from the Isle of Eigg?

    Ramsay

I kind of felt that way too. But watching this... Oooft, he's going to be a player.
  21. A good read, mate.
  22. I'm reading Skagboys by Irvine Welsh at the moment. But I have Alan Park's books up next. I need to re-read The Laidlaw books again. Have you read any of Liam McIlvanney's books, Al? The Quaker was excellent.
