  1. No need to get on Jack's back. Aye, if he signs for the Huns, that's a different matter. But, he's an Aberdeen player right now.
  2. Daniel Harvie won Young Player Of The Year at Dumbarton this year. What I've read is that he played really well for them. He had a bit of a shaky start but quickly found his feet. I think he's a left-back, is he not?
  3. I wonder with Ryan Christie winning young player of the year if he will be here full-time next year. Or, as mentioned, it's just a sign of how bad our youth development is.
  4. Only one of your posts was deleted and that was by yourself in May 2016 We are an easy going forum that welcomes all Aberdeen supporters from all around the world.
  5. Hopefully, the semi win will give us a boost. I just hope it doesn't go the other way and it has tired us out. Games against this mob are always tough ones. I can see this being a 0-0 or just the one goal.
  6. I was pleased when Hibs won the Scottish Cup last year, especially when It was against the Huns. But, they really are starting to get full of themselves. Winning one Scottish Cup in over 100 years and winning the Championship on the third try....... I really hope we wipe that smug look off their ugly mugs.
  7. This team seem to fight right to the last second. Very different from some Dons teams in the past.
  8. I can see this being an 1 goal game. With the injuries and the loss to Hamilton I'm no that confident it will be us who get that one goal.
  9. I saw on a Huddersfield forum a few months ago that the fans were not really all that happy with Danny. Not sure if that has changed any.
  10. A few things I picked out of this match. Logan was woeful. It looked like half the match that he was trying to work out where the fuck was he. As said by a few, the whole defence were having an off day. I was also disappointed in Christie when he had a go at the fourth official. It's good to see the lad being passionate, but he took his eye off the game while the action was still close to where he was. McGinn looked uninterested the whole match. Hardly even heard his name get mentioned. But, I thought McLean and Jack played well. McLean got into some good positions. What won us the match were the three subs put on at the end of the game. Stockley and Pawlett for us and Addison for them. Hats off to McInnes. Another thing that stuck out was that teams in the past would have given up, where this team fought until the end. We just have to get that same mentality when we play Celtic......
  11. I wear a hat most times I'm out. It's really a must in the heat and sun here. I've had the same hat (Akubra- Australian broad-brimmed hat) for over 20 years. In fact, I bought it the first week I came to Australia.
  12. Really?
  13. I really can't see him going to the huns. Hayes said when he signed an extension that he would stay at the club as long as the boss was there. And he's kept this team together for a while, so there is a fair bit of loyalty in the team from both players and management. I also heard a podcast where Graham Spiers was saying that McInnes would take the job as It's a much bigger job than the Dons. Why the fuck would you go from a stable club to a fucking mess that is Servco? Even if the huns got better players in, they are still years, if at all, from challenging Celtic. The deluded huns will not give a manager time to build a team as they think they should be close to matching Celtic now. There is talk of this "war chest" that is just sitting to be spent. What a load of bullshit. I really think that Servco will go bust in the next two to three years.
  14. I just saw that this is on the telly in an hour. I will give it a watch.
  15. Not wanting to high-jack the thread, but this is what a friend of mine woke up to this morning.....
  16. I've only ever put a bet on once. There was a horse called "My kingdom of Fife" running and it was a long shot. My dad was born in Fife, so I put $10 on it. I won $300 when it came in. It was the only time I've ever gone to the pub and come home with more money than I went with. It was a bit of a rush and can see why a lot of people do it. I had enough vices at the time and did not need another one, so that is the one and only time I'll put a bet on.
  17. I worked in the Sugar Cane industry for 8 years and saw fucking loads of them. Amazing animals.... but, no thank you.
  18. Just watched the Brighton v Sheff Wed game. An own goal, a missed penalty and 3 sent off. Not too shabby.
  19. I used to love getting up the hills back home. The hills they have here in Queensland are a decent size, but I find them rather uninspiring. Also, I fucking hate snakes.
  20. If you like WW2 books I recommend "With the Old Breed" by Eugene Sledge. He wrote it while fighting in the pacific. A very honest perspective of the fighting that went on.
  21. Excellent post, Tom. A lot in there that I didn't know.
