That place is well known here for a rather nasty murder... https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-02-29/katherine-mary-knights-john-price-murder-remembered-20-years-on/12006996 I expect jokes about Aberdeen players being skinned on the park or such.

M.A.S.H. didn't have a laughter track when it was shown in the U.K., but it does in the U.S and here in Australia. It's a much better watch without the laughter track. Just saw this on Wiki 'The laugh track is also omitted from some international and syndicated airings of the show. On one occasion during an airing on BBC2 in the UK, the laugh track was accidentally left on, and viewers expressed their displeasure; an apology from the network for the "technical difficulty" was later released, for during its original run on BBC2 in the UK, it had been shown without the laugh track. UK DVD critics speak poorly of the laugh track, stating "canned laughter is intrusive at the best of times, but with a programme like M*A*S*H, it's downright unbearable."[20]

Aberdeen FC Player of the Year 2024/25
scotfree replied to scotfree's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
This is the Donstalk Player of the year. Way more important and prestigious than the AFC one. -
Not done one of these for a while, and with OrlandoDon bringing up the 2020/21 thread, I thought we should do one for this season. So many players come into the team, and a fair few out. It's been a busy season.

I might be reading this wrong, but Shinnie was a left-back when he first came to Aberdeen. He played left-back for Scotland as well, but I'm sure that's a game he would like to forget...

Irishman Charles O'Hagan was the team captain from 1906-1910. He was also the first Aberdeen player to be capped for his country. He also went on to be the manager of Sevilla later on in life. He had a very interesting life. https://thesefootballtimes.co/2017/11/01/the-mysterious-career-of-charles-ohagan-sevillas-first-foreign-manager/

The Hun job is a poisoned chalice. I don't think McInnes would be that daft. Anyone know how Calvin Ramsay is going with them? I'm surprised he was sent there on loan as a plastic pitch is not the best coming back from a serious injury.

Just finished this. An amazing read. The author has a masters in English literature and you can see that from the book. His description of the hell he went through cuts to the bone but there are a lot of beautiful moments as well.

Not sure about what scout but It will have to go through this guy if we do sign Lazetic. https://www.afc.co.uk/2024/12/19/nuno-de-almeida-to-lead-on-player-recruitment/

Alzheimer's is a fucking horrible way to go. My father-in-law is going through it now. Every time I see him it's heartbreaking.
-
Dunfermline are a basketcase of a club.
-
I hope that his mum and dad are not taking the flack for the rat. Unless his parents were all for him moving to the Huns it's not their fault.
-
I still can't get into the A-League... Just doesn't do it for me.
-
That looks like Dumbarton is in administration as well. Kind of get the feeling that they will not be the last. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/cn8ld8z1nv8o

Not say it is a slagging match. Just don't want it to end up a slagging match. As I said, I've enjoyed reading the past few pages as It's good to see things from both sides.
-
It's getting a wee bit heated here, guys. It has been a really interesting read over the last few pages but we don't want it to deteriorate it to a slagging match.
