Comfortable 1-2 win for Spain in the end who had some really good players and way they moved ball seemed effortless at times. Mebude took his goal welll for us and looks like he might be one for future but that was probably our one real chance. Jack Milne came on for Calvin Ramsey (who played well) at right back and did struggle positionally and kept drifting inside. Just increased my concerns about cover at right back for Dons.

Individual errors from players who are not good enough for international football cost us tonight. Ralston isn’t even good enough for his club side. I think we have to stop picking players who are not playing regularly at club level.

I was surprised at is age when I looked him up. Seems to have played most of his career in English non leagues. Other County player who I liked the look of was Ronan Hale. Worked our back line and was unlucky with goal that was chopped off and not much wrong with penalty that Mitov saved. Another worth keeping an eye on.

Was a really good game. Girona seem to go with 1 up front away from home and Abel Ruiz seems to be the one they go with for that role.

First of the two second preliminary round ties were tonight. Bo’ness Athletic from the East of Scotland 2nd division beat West of Scotland Premier side Kilwinning Rangers 2-0 and East of Scotland Premier side Tynecastle beat Glasgow Uni of West of Scotland 3rd division side 4-0. Was at Meggetland for the Tynecastle game and it is a great stadium to watch football at and better than some league grounds.

Disagree that squad is stronger. Think first XI is strong but the cover is still pretty weak. However accept squad depth was never going to be sorted in one window.
