According to soccerbase they paid £50K for him and he has another year of his contract still to run so cannot see them letting him go for anything we can afford to pay.

Think "your job is safe" is the second most feared phrase a football manager can hear from the board as it is normally followed not long after by the most feared one "your fired".

A scapegoat is usually some one who is blameless and McGhee is certainly not blameless for the mess we are in. He has failed miserably to get anything out of the existing squad and spent what cash he had on some absolute dross.

I do not think any will be binned as such. I think some will leave because they have better offers elsewhere and MM will use their departure as an excuse for our shit start to next season.

I think we will get three in on permanent deals and maybe 3 or 4 18 or 19 years old loan siginings from Ingerlund. Also get the usual pish about the long term injured players like being new signings. No confidence that MM will find a decent standard of player from the evidence of this seasons signings however.

Normally would agree with laughing at either of infirm getting beat but sadly this win just means that a team below us in the league has picked up unexpected points and have closed the gap between us and them.
