  1. Think you will find the retard is a leftish leaning paper. It is the sun that leans slightly to the right of Mien Kampf as reading material goes. Both however are sensationalist rags.
  2. Still struggling to see what everyone means by Young has done okay. If they mean he has charged about alot and given 100% in most matches then I suppose that is fair enough. However I still cannot see what positive contiubtion he has brought to the team and how he has improved us as a team. Guy has no ability whats so ever and has struggled against any team who pass the ball with Falkirk in the league being a prime example. He never touched the ball. As for Duff I cannot remember him once impressing me when we have played United so not a good start but will see how he does in a red shirt before making any judgements.
  3. A United reject and some Dutch dude who cannot get a game for a rank Dutch side on loan according to the papers.
  4. Getting rid of Lovell would be a mistake. If he gets a decent run of games and we get a midfielder to supply him and Miller with decent service still think that we could have a decent front pairing who will get us the goals we need to get into Europe again this season. Cannot believe players with injury history like Byrnne and Tounzani have been offered deals and Lovell is not.
  5. Aye suppose it is when you only stay for the 1st half. Good news on price reduction now just got to convince somebody to drive up.
  6. Duff should be a non starter as if he is not good enough for Arabs then not good enough for us.
  7. Nothing in the article says he is saying just that offer is better. Will only believe he is staying when they have a picture of him with the signed contract.
  8. Did mean to say that obviously did not include Clark as never seen him go for a 50/50 ball in his entire carrer at Aberdeen.
  9. Some nice suggestions but only ones we can get are those who will not command a fee as we are skint and according to the players leaving offering pish wages. Might Black or Russel Duncan from Caley as both are out of contract and Caley pay even less than we do.
  10. Agree with the above. Why would they put any future move on the line by getting injured going for a 50/50 ball playing for us. Would rather play someone who has a future at the club.
  11. JC contacts have already brought us two right backs in Mair and McNamara and look how sucessful they have been.
  12. I would keep Miller hanging on as do not think it is any coincidence that his work rate and goal scoring since end of October all tie in with him not getting offered a new contract. As soon as he gets a new offer I would not bet against the lazy bastard we have had for most of Millers time at Dons returning.
  13. Average gate this year is being boosted 3 the Uefa home games. Anyone worked out what they are just for the domestic games?
  14. Simply not enough players at the club for us to be able to cope with a cup run so will take a league win and getting into Europe next season.
  15. That could still mean that one of the things to be ironed out is the money. Only a fool would say with 6 months to go that he wants to leave as it would guarantee abuse from the fans for the remainder of the contract. I am quite sure that the same article more or less appeared for both McNaughton and Anderson in the past couple of years.
  16. Not as many as me though as I believe I was first on the list.
  17. Been told sleeping in was one of best decissions I have made.
  18. Langfield is not Scotlands 2nd best keeper. When he got in to the squad at least 3 or 4 of the choices in front of him were injured. Neither Langfield or Souter are good keepers and both should be freed in the summer and the wages used to find better replacements
  19. Have to agree with BB thought Miller was gash last night. When he won the ball in the air he just let it bounce off his head rather than direct it. His passing was awful and most found Thistle palyers rather than his own and the chance he missed was unbelievable. Only positive was that he did track back quite a bit and won a couple of tackles on our own box however thats not what he is getting paid for. We really need to find some mugs to take this overpaid haddie off our hands soon.
  20. He worked hard last night but have to say that for a striker his goal threat was nil. Cannot remember him getting near a header in their box from any of our corners or free kicks last night which for such a tall striker is not good. As for his flick ons they very rarely fell to a dons player. He always seemed to manage to direct them to areas where no dons players were. Now you could blame the other players for not reading the flicks but when Brewster played his flick ons nearly always fell to Dons players so not sure this arguement is correct.
  21. Nah in the SS last night. On topic I thought Langfield did ok last night apart for the usual woeful kicking but did not see that he did anything that Souter could not have done. Be interesting to see who is in for Sunday.
  22. is back in according to Daily Retard. Very unfair on Souter if true as he has done well in games I have seen. Just another example of the tanned balloon making a change for the sake of making a change IMO.
  23. To be honest what of I have seen of the guy I have not been that impressed. Legs look to have gone and he seems to struggle against anyone with pace which is a bit of a problem when your full back. Might not be a bad thing if we can rid and maybe get some cash for him.
  24. If you look on Red Web club have announced a "offical travel partner" for the trip who are putting together a package. Also passport travel are talking of putting a charter on. I have booked trip from Wednesday to Saturday for 3 of us going from Edinburgh to Kiev via Amsterdam then train to Dnipro. Total cost looking to be about £360 each including accomodation. Cannot see the charters coming in for much less than £500 (passports trip to Ukraine last year for Scotland game was around this level) so you will propbaly be cheaper arranging it for yourself.
  25. Would have got train up if I had known about this earlier. Bit surpirsed to see JDV listed in the squad given his recent injury and the game being on a plastic pitch.
