  1. According to this site it is. http://www.live-footballontv.com/live-football-on-bt-sport.html Usually pretty accurate but not seen an official yet.
  2. Saw that today. Would have thought he would have offers from championship clubs so surprised to see him going to the A League.
  3. Ronaldo leaving Real Madrid for €100m according to BBC.
  4. Only recent rail extensions I can think of were the Stirling to Alloa line which refurbished existing track for 5.6 miles and a new station at Alloa cost £85m. Borders Railway was longer, 35 miles, and although some of the old track bed was still there new track and bridges were reaquired at a cost of £350m. Would think a completely new line even only 4 miles of track, a station and associated signalling would cost more than the cost of Stirling to Alloa line but less than the Borders. Cannot see Scottish Government forking out for a line to serve a football stadium. Other option could be a light railway/tram line from Aberdeen to Westhill. Edinburgh trams network runs for 8 miles so a similar distance as Aberdeen Westhill. It cost £776m to build. Would assume a line in Aberdeen would cost similar so no chance Aberdeen Council will fund that. Then you would have similar legal wrangles on the routes as there was on the bypass route.
  5. Another 6ft plus striker. Surely we should be looking at a higher standard than 4th division in England.
  6. Seen elsewhere the Danny Rogers is possibly going on loan to St Mirren. Bit of an odd one and would leave us having to look for a back up.
  7. Tony Watt supposedly signing for St Johnstone.
  8. Devlin played most of game. Only subbed towards the end. Took a hefty challenge but seemed to be fine.
  9. Some good individual performances from Wright and Ferguson but felt we looked ropey at back at times especially when St J came down our flanks. May took his goal well and looked better than he did on Wednesday. Game against Caley on Wednesday cancelled due to injuries picked up today.
  10. Finished 2-2. May and Wright with goals for Dons.
  11. 3rd pre season game today in Perth. No new signings in this week is a bit disappointing. Always find it a bit odd that we play another team from our league in preseason. £15 in today is a bit steep for a friendly but it is a testimonial I suppose. In Lift up and pint in stadium bar if there in time. Away end Lift back to capital Hopefully another win with few more chances created than Wednesday
  12. Remember Devlin and Cosgrove were both deemed summer signings so 7 to replace 10.
  13. From what I was told there should be enough tickets for some in phase 3 to get.
  14. Not yet for away leg. Hopefully on Monday.
  15. I think any defender will be right sided to cover Logan and Devlin. Logan is already missing first 2 league games due to suspension and with Devlin’s injury record there is no guarantee he can play a full season.
  16. Folk at DNA q&a say that McInnes confirmed only two more players being targeted a defender and a striker. Also mentioned that they are hoping to extend scouting beyond English lower leagues going forward.
  17. Hibs have allegedly signed Stevie Mallan from Barnsley. Decent signing if correct.
  18. Remember to do your quarter final picks.
  19. Scotsman reporting bid has been rejected along with one from Peterborough for £750k. Suspect the second bid puts us out of the running.
  20. To big a queue when I got there so never bothered. Still regretting it now.
  21. From the new guys was impressed with Forrester who looks like he can play and he made some great passes. Gleeson was neat and tidy with the ball and rarely gave it away. Always making himself available to receive the ball. Lewis Ferguson also looked good. Made some decent runs and obviously scored. Of the games itself I know it was preseason but concern was we again created very little and outside the goal rarely troubled the Falkirk keeper. Not helped by having Cosgrove as the main striker. Cannot fault his work rate but he is not a footballer and rarely got himself into positions where he could hurt Falkirk. First time I have ever been to Arbroath and not come away with at least mild hypothermia.
  22. Which Stand was that for?
  23. For anyone going tonight the prices are as follows: Adults - £10 Conc - £5 Dons fans are in the Pleasureland end of the ground. 1930 kick off.
  24. Going to head up tomorrow to see what new lads look like. Was hoping we would have more in by now but looks like we have missed out on a couple of targets recently so are playing catch up now. Falkirk should provide a decent test. Hopefully Arbroath have the steak and black pudding pies on the go. In Lift up then hopefully pint across the road from ground. Halfway line Lift down the road Hopefully a Dons win.
  25. McGeouch signs for Sunderland. Big loss to Hibs and hopefully means we can move on from him and get to building our squad for this season. Fully expect us to be continually linked with him like we are with Moult however. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/dylan-mcgeouch-completes-sunderland-move-12838693
